If it was, there wouldn’t be a huge thread speculating the endgame theory that went on till the end of the show from the start on the show’s MDL page. The thread must still be there in the discussion forum. So clearly not ‘evident’ for most who saw the show :)

No , It was only theorized just like they are doing for this show here. There were other counter theories about how it could still be a HE for all these SE theories as well as each episode aired. That was the beauty of the show and why i said, it kept you guessing. I presume you feel this way because the show has ended and you already know the result :)

I followed 2521 every week and actively interacted with people in comment section till the end. I can vouch that people didn't find it 'evident' atleast till it was nearly 12 episodes!

I beg to differ. 2521 kept us guessing till the end because they never showed the dad in present time. I wouldn't say it was 'evident' it won't be a HE atleast until 12th episode. That's when you could start sensing this maynot go well as you would like.

Indeed, it's still a grey area but if she was all over the SML, then she wouldn't have brought a gun in the first place. So it's already a hint that she isn't like in love with him. It's obvious she is playing along especially with her clinching fist during the kiss. The husband-bibi kiss scene was even more raw and husband would have slept with her if not for the interruption. So he is kinda worse than FL if we are being honest. So the drama is aligning to it's name I would say - The worst of evil xD

First thing, find it so weird about the too much noise for potential infidelity for this drama genre.

However I see a lot of negative comments only towards the FL whilst nothing much for the ML. If your justification being, LHR forced herself on ML means, same for FL. JKC initiated the kiss and she just played along. What do you expect her to do? Push him away literally seconds after confessing her love? so the character assassination of FL is so stupid. The ML was literally about to sleep with LHR if not for that guy interrupting. Let’s be consistent in criticism too :)

Lol, I am not imposing anything here and it has everything to do with being his fan. Why do you think there is always 'bad acting' comments popping up on CEW's dramas? It's simply because he was never upto the mark in terms of acting. There's literally not a single drama you can single him out for showing his 'acting' range. Also acting range isn't subjective. Liking an actor is what is subjective which is what I meant by 'being a fan' & that doesn't give you a free pass to call a subpar actor as 'never bad'. Hence I felt obligated to point that out.

So many just love to see a pretty boy on the screen with mediocre acting which is not wrong either. It's just funny when that celebrity crush forces you to set a false narrative regarding the acting skills which were never there in the first place.

You can be a fan but you cannot just say it was never bad like come on. The visuals have been literally saving him in all the dramas. Acting wise he has always been subpar.

Lu YuXiao is literally a hot topic with chinese netizens after MJTY right now. They are all mighty impressed by her acting in MJTY and her weibo has seen a significant growth and still growing rapidly ever since MJTY dropped. Literally her breakthrough in Chinese domestic entertainment (proof: https://twitter.com/Natapori/status/1705124304349012035).

In fact the second couple super topic just reached diamond level 2 in weibo which begs the question, have you guys ever wondered, her acting wasn't the problem but your preconceived notion is? Her character was written extremely well and her acting was insanely good. I guess you find problems with her acting if you are fans of the mains whose characterizations were clearly underwhelming (probably the mistake of writer). I suggest you guys to be a bit more open minded to second, third leads having their prime moments instead of always playing second fiddle to main leads, you could actually enjoy her acting.

Douyin, weibo is all about the second CP. I think this is a better testament to her acting masterclass in MJTY. Like I said before, to each his own and I totally respect that, but I felt like posting this so that you don't assume your opinion as mainstream in mainland china. It's just the opposite :)

Lu YuXiao has gained plenty of attention from Cnetz after MJTY. Looks like her popularity is on the steady rise based on weibo reactions . I feel like my girl finally got her well deserved breakthrough & I am so happy for her. Hopefully more lead projects to follow

We don't have to force ourselves rooting for a ML & FL ship always just coz they are the main leads. Sometimes the ML & SFL dynamics & vice versa works just as good. This happens coz we always tend to have the preconceived notions in our mind that ML & FL of a drama should always get together no matter what. Just saying :)

The scenes between Esther and Lu Yuxiao in episode 3 were so intense that got me so hooked up. Just wow. Also, Lu Yuxiao is killing it here. What a talented actor she is.

IKR. I really want her to succeed with more lead projects. Easily one of the most talented actresses I have come across :/
