It's doing very well despite a concerted effort of Dylan haters to blacken it. It's #1 in the main charts (Maoyan, Datawin, VLinkage, Dengta, Yunhe, Kuyun). It's a certified hit, having reached 2.5 Datawin score and 85 VLinkage score. It also reached 28,000 Tencent score making it a member of Tencent's must-watch list.

Excellent production. Great writing and direction. CGI is among the best I've seen in cdramas. It deserves at least a 9. Don't believe negative comments. This drama has been targeted to be attacked by vile netizens long before it was aired.

If you feel you need to blacken an actor or drama to make your fave shine, if you feel the need to downrate other actors' dramas to pull your fave up, you are supporting a wrong actor. If your fave needs you to blacken other actors so he will shine, it means your fave does not have it in him to shine through his own merits. Drop him fast. He is not worth your descent to hell.

Seems like cdrama viewers have a problem with female leads that are not cookie-cutter. Princess Lin An is not the usual type of perfect sensible female lead that does nothing wrong. Like the much-misunderstood FL in Only For Love, Princess Lin An is a unique character with flaws. And I prefer her that way. Her flaws give her depth and make me anticipate a growth arc.

It's Dylan Wang's gift to the world. His great looks plus great personality and sense of humor. He is a happy pill 😊

Yup, that's most probably one of the reasons Didi is being bullied. His bullies want him to kowtow to powerful bosses, to be part of some ring. It seems another reason he is being bullied is because his competitors have paid bullies to blacken him.

This is one misunderstanding that I'm not minding at all, as it also provides suspense in understanding Xu Qian's character. Is he an opportunist? A sycophant? Or simply a man in love?

I think so too. I don't like misunderstandings but I'm impressed at how the trope is being used to add an element of intrigue not only in their relationship but also in understanding Xu Qian's character better

The mistaken identity begs the question: Does Xu Qi An like the FL because he thinks she's the Grand Princess or does he like her for herself? I didn't expect this misunderstanding in their story but it gives their story an edge, making it intriguing

In Eternal Love (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms), the most watched cdrama of all time with over 50 billion views as of Aug 2017, the ML and FL first meet in ep 10. It's one of my most favorite cdramas ever 😊

I wonder if the FL is as covertly smart as the FL in Unchained Love, pretending to be flaky and silly so as not to ruffle royal feathers with her superior intelligence

the uncle sold him out 😂 the negotiation between the uncle and supervisor for his pay is hilarious 😂 Xu Qian's situation at home is a combination of sweet, funny and disturbing, showing how parents/elders casually, and most probably unknowingly, enslave and abuse youngsters under their wings

Yup, if you notice, a lot of Dylan's dramas have low ratings. His haters are deplorable. This is why online ratings are not reliable.

Even before the drama aired, several netizens have already been throwing dirt at it because they love bullying Dylan. He does not come from money, has no powerful backers and has no big publicity machine thus bullies think he is an easy target. They don't like that he is self-made, trying to change his stars through talent, hard work and determination. One of the netizens who was recruited to blacken him warned him that people are trying to bring him down.

So, don't believe negative comments about this drama. As what they did with Only For Love, Dylan's bullies will throw dirt at Guardians of the Dafeng to bring him down. Incidentally, the rich brat Zhou Li who tried to kill Xu Qian in GOTD episode 3 reminded me of Dylan's bullies.
