Yeah, I don't think the Douyin numbers account for the discrepancy between MangoTV and Yunhe figures. Didn't Maoyan say that MangoTV verified their number? So, if both Maoyan and MangoTV have the same numbers and Yunhe doesn't have, it appears Yunhe is missing some counts. I had a feeling when I didn't see a surge in Yunhe's stats during special days, like when eps 19 and 20 were shown at 13:14 and when eps 31-36 were made available as fast track that there was something wrong with Yunhe's data. I think they might not have been able to capture the views for those special times because they were not the usual schedule. MangoTV should sort this out with Yunhe.

Yup, i saw that already. The total views shows data that have been captured for the selected period. But if Yunhe was not able to capture all data that it was supposed to capture because of the drama's erratic schedule, then it will be missing some views. Those days where special episodes were shown would have pulled in more traffic than usual. If the traffic on those days were not captured, that is, they were not added to the database, then that could account for the missing views.If MangoTV has their own counts that are different from Yunhe's data, then those two should figure out the reason for the discrepancy.

That weibo article was posted the day after eps 31 to 36 were released. I wonder how Yunhe captured the views. Did it limit the capture to the published schedule? If so, and if MangoTV made the downloads available outside the schedule, Yunhe would have missed them. Yunhe would also have missed the 13:14 showing of ep 20 plus the wedding episode which was also shown outside the schedule. That is, the traffic during expected high-traffic times might not have been fully captured. I've been monitoring statistics and was wondering why Yunhe traffic didn't increase as expected during those special showings.

I've always felt that MangoTV's erratic schedule was very disadvantageous to OFL, aside from making viewers antsy. There were sometimes large gaps between airing and some days, only one episode was shown. I wonder if Yunhe knew not to capture views of other programs during those off-days or 1-episode-days coz if it did and the views of other programs were low, they would have lowered the average.

I noticed MangoTV is not savvy or doesn't care about its dramas' standings in rankings. Take the Douban score. It didn't give in to the blackmail of yxh so the drama was blackened. I'm not saying it should have paid yxh off, but I wonder if it alerted fans of the drama to help fight off the yxh and water armies. Also, it could have asked Douban to delay releasing the score until the black comments have been weeded out. Some dramas do this. The drama score for Youth in the Flames of War just got released, 7 months after it aired. That forAce Troops has not yet been released. While I don't believe in Douban anymore, unfortunately Chinese viewers still seem to.

Now, if Yunhe missed some traffic, MangoTV should make sure Yunhe fixes its data.

The monthly list of TV traffic figures has actually much better results for OFL than I anticpated considering OFL was showing off-prime on HunanTV. Again and again, Dylan keeps pulling these remarkable achievements. Seems to be a recurring theme. Amidst challenging circumstances, he shines. His low-budget Unchained Love surpassed big-budget productions. His off-prime Only For Love surpassed primetime shows 🥰

The yearly data made me realize how successful Unchained Love was. In a sea of big-budget dramas, this low-budget gem was able to make it to #20! I take back what I said about Dylan's Scream Night award being iQiyi's apology for playing dirty against OFL with SOKP. Dylan performed another miracle with Unchained Love 🥰 Scream god indeed! 🥰

I love this drama. It has multi-dimensional characters, especially the female lead played by Bai Lu. After Miss The Dragon, Dylan has improved a lot. He portrays the role of CEO in this drama very well.

I've often wondered what the differences are between the ranking systems (Aiman, Datawin, Dengta, Douyin, KyLive, Maoyan, VLinkage, V-pulse, Weibo and Yunhe) coz they show different numbers. For example, for KyLive, what do their numbers represent? Are they just domestic views? Perhaps the 2 billion reported by Maoyan includes global markets where OFL is #1? I just saw some rankings of views on Douyin where FOMH is #4, OFL is #6 and SOKP is #9. Do other ranking sites use this information too?

Yeah, it's all rumors. 'Wonder if Chinese paparazzi are regulated to be not too nosy. There's almost no news about the love lives of these celebrities, though Bai Lu seemed to have gotten caught leaving ZLH residence, probably before they broke up... hang on, ZLH going thru a bad time sounds interesting...

i actually thought Shu Yi was realistic. Who among us is perfect? Do people really think that all intelligent people cannot do anything wrong? In fact, many intelligent people are bad at relationships, especially workaholics like Shu Yi.

Exactly the reason why drama scores are unreliable. Nobody can force fans to rate their idols reasonably. They will most likely give their idols' dramas the highest scores possible. In the same way, you can't tell haters not to unjustly give low marks to their targets. They will give the lowest scores they can. Note that some of these haters have been paid to defame dramas so the lower they can drive the scores to be, the more vile pleasure they'd feel.

Had the story been as trashy as haters allege, no star power would have saved it. Those who criticized it without watching it or those who dropped it without making an effort to understand it or those who got swayed by black propaganda and skipped scenes would not have been able to make it a hit. Those who understood the story and characters and liked them and watched the whole drama and even re-watched it made it a hit.

With haters giving dramas lower-than-deserving scores and zealous fans giving dramas higher-than-deserving scores, drama scoring sites cannot be relied on. Saying these two factions balance each other out is neither realistic nor scientific. Middle-of-the-road passersby viewers cannot be relied on either coz they could have gotten swayed by black propaganda. After all, that is what black propaganda aims for

been wonderin if dylan is indeed dating esther and bai lu is dating zhang linghe. these four are all friends, so dylan and bailu are probably making sure they don't go beyond the friend zone

The script is no worse than many cdramas I've watched. It just got overcriticized by people with agenda, by those who got swayed by negative comments or by those who did not bother to understand it. The role of Shu Yi is challenging. The character is flawed so not portraying her right would make her unlikeable. I liked Shu Yi, so Bai Lu did well. Too bad some viewers did not bother to try to understand her first before judging her.

I noticed that those who complained about this drama obviously did not understand it perhaps because they did not watch it and are just repeating some criticsms they heard or because they skipped a lot of scenes. Also, a drama should be felt, not just watched, to be appreciated. Skipping would make it hard, if not impossible, for somebody to get drawn to the drama to feel it.

ML found out that one of the reasons FL approached him was to get back at her ex-bf because she thought her ex-bf's new gf was Shi Yan's niece. Becaue FL was too cowardly to tell him herself, he got the erroneous second-hand information that FL was not serious about him (the uncle). He concluded that it wasn't him the FL was after, that the FL was still in love with the ex-bf. That was what hurt him. That the FL used him to get back at her ex-bf because she still loves the ex-bf. (This is not true, just what Shi Yan thought). Thus, he kept his distance from the FL probably for two reasons. One, to give her space to think things through. But he would welcome her with open arms once she decides it's him she wants. Two, he was hurt that she seemed not to care about his feelings, prioritizing work over their relationship.

You'll be missing a lot of interesting interactions between them though, if you skip.
