When does the flood dragon arc end? Not really feeling that part tbh
It will be finished a third of the way through ep.18. There are epic battle scenes and some important artifacts that will go into play even in future eps. Hang in there!
Will there be a sequel or no? Is this where the web novel ended or was there more?
There won't be a sequel. It was supposed to be a two-part release(like what Lost You Forever did/is doing) but TTEOTM production decided to fit everything into 40eps and release as one. The novel has 131 chapters plus 8 extras. The drama ending is until ch.126 of the novel(with some changes done) while the novel ending is ch.131(as posted in the discussions). The extras contain snippets of their lives afterwards as well as some back stories (ex.how shifu got TTJ).
No moving on for us. πWatching this last year with this MDL community really elevated the experience. Good…
Haha a rewatch is never a bad thing. Go for it! We did a group rewatch a month after the show ended and I confess to still watching the first ep and my fave eps every now and then. π€π The anniv rewatch should be fun, too. π
No. LSS' POV was well presented in the novel so readers can understand her motivations and actions there. TTJ…
The drama was really tight in the beginning - probably the best first 10 episodes I've seen in Cdramas. I loved how they chose the important parts/artifacts and pared down the side quests but showed the building connection between TTJ and YXW/LSS. The 40.ep limitation really a number on the latter parts. Overall, the drama is still superb! ππ

They cut out so many of her parts esp.in the immortal arc. I also noticed that the drama writer had a misplaced sense of trying to go full circle even when it didn't make a sense from the OG characterization just to include drama tropes.
it's been almost a year since watching this, and i cant move on. i miss tantai jin and ye xiwu. time to listen…

OMG SILVER HAIRED LUO YUNXI IS EVERYTHING..the closest i get to white-haired TTJ π₯Ήπx.com/La__pis/status/1759928883435147492?s=20x.com/_____luluo/status/1759914943057653946?s=20Ofc…
He looks great! π This should have been TTJ after the tower scene...
If the FL as horrible in the novel as she is in the series? Every episode I just want to jump though the screen…
No. LSS' POV was well presented in the novel so readers can understand her motivations and actions there. TTJ was really evil in the novel but drama makers sanitized his character so much that he wasn't really evil in the drama and shifted it to be ML focused. I mean I love TTJ but the imbalance really did LSS injustice. Drama also went tropey with the illogical misunderstandings not in the novel *looking at you porridgegate* π
The novel is not for everyone but the good thing about it is that you can see BOTH of their imperfections and character growth, so much so that you will be rooting for them in the end because after all their suffering, they DESERVE to be together. My JinSu CP heart is aching just remembering their trials.
If you are done with the drama, you can check out the translated parts of the novel from Ch.126-131 in the discussion above. π

For example, someone will cue the rewatch on April 6, 2024 (Sat.) at 7pmΒ UTC+8.
Since you are in SG, that'd be April 6 at 7pm in your time, too. π

There is a really good translation from Secondlifetranslations but it's only up to Ch.100 for now:
