Winter is significant for them coz that's when they met, when they had such joy during the NY celebration, and when she died in the tower scene. But knowing how TTJ treasures his little signs of love, he chose the snowy setting because he was simply happy during that time. YXW gave him his first winter coat, they had fun hanging out, talking sincerely, and even had a snowball fight.

Yes that snow scene is beautiful in its simplicity - more so because of the things left unsaid like their regrets and longings.
The last scene of them together really hits hard because of their full understanding of each other but they didn't have time left.

I feel more at peace too after doing this rewatch. I might still have a little rant about the rest of the ending but I'll just fill in the blanks. Haha!

Instead of doing their wedding toast to the earth and the heavens, TTJ and LSS do toast to the sins in the world, all the deaths and lastly in the wish to be together forever. LSS tosses her cup away.

TTJ gifts her with moving the Devil Palace high above the air to give her light. The immorons are approaching but in greater numbers this time.
LSS says she also has a gift for TTJ and that is to use up Chongyu Harp to make the Incantation Abandoning Array. TTJ keeps taunting that her powers are not enough to kill him. At this point, LSS is on kill TTJ and save the world even if I die mode.
XLstein doesn't care if LSS dies as long as TTJ is killed.

So annoying to see Spider Demon lead the demons when SY should have been there. 🙄
TTJ breaks free from LSS' array and breaks out his DG Asura form. Cool as always!
The immorons launch the Celestial Punishment Array above TTJ and LSS. TTJ keeps getting hurt when reminded that LSS will always choose the world over him. He saya that since the immortals are willing to sacrifice her and she wants to die then she can take the punishment for him before yeeting her to it. When he says you deserve it, I guess TTJ meant that point. Haha!
LSS get hit by lightning and even when he was saying mean things,TTJ looks away so he won't see her suffer.

On the ground, the clash between the immorons and demons continues. Why do the disciples from Xiaoyao sect run like the ninjas from Naruto? Haha! 😂

XLstein sees TTJ unscathed so he goes up to battle with him. He uses an evil spell to harness energy from everyone. TTJ eventually snaps him out of devilizing and he falls but MN is shown catching him later on. We can really see XLstein's hyprocrisy in this ep.

TTJ in his Asura Form enhances with the ADW which launches meteors towards realms. YQY uses his fox essence to build a barrier to protect the Jing Capital.

LSS is still in the CP but she has not yet ascended because of her attachment to TTJ so TTJ pulls out the big guns literally by using the God Slaying Crossbow on the disciples. This triggers her trauma from the 2nd timeline and in her distress, she finally breaks through and reaches nirvana/godhood.
TTJ smiles as she becomes a True God.
LSS goes into the god sphere where her mother Chuhuang and the other gods were waiting for her.

LSS returns to this reality and she freezes time before going to TTJ. She wants to talk but TTJ urges her to kill him. LOL! She says to drop the act because she now knows his true heart. Time for the 20 layer demigod costume. Hehe!
She tell him she know what he did for her and he apologizes because that was the only way.
Cue ost 🎶 Take a look at this world we love 🎶 😭😭😭 The use of this OST in this scene in between their lines is perfect. 😭😭😭
Many of these morons don't deserve it but these two really did save the realms through their sacrifice.

LSS: I wanted to grow old with you but now we can't grow old anyway. I didn't know my existence is destined for your death.
TTJ: It's okay. Susu, this life of mine is so hard. I'll let you end it for me.

The Mystic Bird OST starts - another perfect use of music 🎶
TTJ brings her to the God Realm and tells her that as a True God she can kill him and by doing so stop the ADW.
LSS: I still have many things to say to you but I will say these words when we meet again. 😭😭😭
TTJ : Hao!
And they have their final kiss. 😭😭😭
She pierces his heart and the ADW starts receding. He says to let go but she doesn't want to because she wants to die with him. He says yes but knocks her out and puts the HGS in her before destroying the EB.

I have to say this is when drama really went wrong with the handling of the ending.
LSS shouldn't have been knocked out. She as the True God was supposed to turn the ADW into the Path of Compassion which revives everything in the realms even the Barren Abyss is not barren anymore because everything starts growing like plants etc. They should have shown all those fracking immortals as well as other beings thank TTJ for his sacrifice and LSS for safeguarding the realms. SUCH A MISSED OPPORTUNITY! ARGH!

Instead drama immediately put LSS in the tomb scene which admittedly is heartwrenching but not exactly enough to justify all that lead up to the sacrifice. Again, I will say the screenwriters do not know emotional payoff - only angst. TTJ writing his own epitaph and LSS crying her heart out were just 💔💔. 😭😭

Finally we see cute A Mi and LSS after five hundred years with LSS remembering to tell the story of SJ and MY so they can live on even in stories. We see a smiling TTJ in the HGS which he will emerge from 500 years later after repairing his essence there.
I insist on this. Haha!

You should have seen the comments lambasting LSS for hurting "poor" TTJ during the airing. 🤦‍♀️
That's why I am always on defensive mode with LSS because she does say really hurtful things (and I don't want TTJ to be hurt) but she is also coming from a place of hurt and trauma. It's natural because the guy who supposedly loves you tells you he hates you and chokes you to unconsciousness. Goodness!

This is all so sad though because contrary to their words, they do both love each other. Look at their eyes! Our poor babies! 😭😭😭

The Dragon Float scenes were full of editing mistakes. There was a scene when TTJ was alone then the next cut shows LSS and TTJ from the back angle. Then LSS was gone from another angle. 🤣🤣

From the moment TTJ started defending the little love he got, I started crying already. The scene at the Ye Mansion and their sad asf wedding night just sent me bawling.😭😭

They just destroyed GYJW's character in the drama.

It was good that LSS wanted to clear things up with TTJ but they were at the point of no return already. TTJ had to break their entanglement and force LSS to hate him enough to kill him. Their destiny is just so cruel. 😭😭

I am trying to calm down now so I can't think about this a lot. 😅

The Ye Mansion scene was so poignant. The could have beens if he weren't the EF and she weren't the immortal sent to kill him. 😭
Like you said their kisses were 🔥 but they just made me so sad because they were both saying goodbye to each other. This is such an unfair fate for them. 😭😭😭
