I think the only contribution of the Ye Mei storyline was to plant the seeds of jealousy in XLstein which is unnecessary because the writers made up this supposed romantic redemption arc for MN+XL2.0 that turned out to be useless since they made her reject him. 😂 The writers were just all over the place at this point.

Ep.33 TTJ: ADG is the biggest obstacle between her and me. Haha so ADG is the 3rd wheel? 🤣
TTJ decides to scope out Barren Abyss and learn more about ADG. However, SY eventually sees through his attempt and he is forced to leave.
Perm guys visits LSS and while LSS makes tea, he has a fight with CJM. LSS calms him down and asks him to trust her about CJM.
CJM and LSS has a conversation but this goes nowhere. TTJ insists that he is not DG and LSS says she is not YXW. At this point, TTJ is still in denial about him becoming DG. He can't say he can't become DG because he was almost possessed when the BRS entered his body. What if they actually talked about what they can do to counter ADG instead of talking in circles?
SY and her umbrella are talking with the umbrella devising a plan to plant NBY as spy in the immortal sect. We have the reunion of NBY and TTJ as well as NBY and FY.
MN encounters XL 2.0 and forcely invites him along in her carriage to the Jing Kingdom.
LSS and CJM met up in the Jing Kingdom. The atmosphere between them is lighter and they bicker as they used to. He has become very glib. What has he been learning at XY sect? 🤣
Lulu is wearing Xixi fave dress of hers. She is really beautiful in it. 💕
In the Descent of the Phoenix inn (LOL), the three along with the help of FY and NBY via the bird/beast express make a plan to capture a demon called Ye Mei. TTJ encounters her first then XL 2.0 who falls briefly under her spell. In the BTS, Xixi proves his perfectionism by repeating his pose at 42:52 several times since his sword tassle kept tangling.
SY instructs YM to infiltrate LSS' dream and CJM enters a dream state too. He talks with ADG and breaks the illusion later on. What is the point of that scene of CJM walking out of the inn and the sunrise being shown? This ep is so disjointed at times.
JM is so cute with the his and SY's dolls. He doesn't want to ruin the festival too.
CJM and LSS talk again. She affirms his identity as the kindhearted CJM of the XY sect. He finally faces his fear of being uncovered as the evil fetus and the one immortals want to kill.
We know what happens with infuriating immortals in the next ep.🤦♀
