Yes, he is really like a sponge just soaking everything in. He learns quickly and remembers well. If he got love and learned how to love earlier, would he have avoided consuming the nightmare demon? I think that was really the point of no return coz the desire for power just keeps growing from then on.
I kept crying in this ep - the growing of TTJ's love threads, YXW getting TTJ his green coat and apologizing for the delay, and that conversation between our babies in the end. Goodness my heart! π

Ep.6 This sketch charm scene is one of my favorites in the series because of its beauty and meaning. Even though it might seem lighthearted and even useless according to TTJ, it actually reveals LSS' roots and intent. This is a foreshadowing of the path she needs to take as an immortal to become a goddess and also her incomplete understanding of the Path of the Dao.
Body, heart, and mind are three different parts. When the three parts are unified, the internal elixir is formed. Empty thy heart to unite soul and character. Calm thy body to silent energy and mood. Steady thy mind then all three merge into one. Turn your energy to Qi and your body won't move. Turn your Qi into soul and your heart won't move. Turn your soul empty and your mind won't move. Destroy your desire for romantic love then you can understand the universe and all the lives. This is the one and only way of the Heartless Way. But maybe I'm way off mark. All roads lead the right way and Heartless Way is just one of them.
On a lighter note, this is a start of TTJ's travails as a student with his current teacher (and future shifu) always sleeping on him. LOL! In the bts, Lulu was so sleepy in this scene that she actually fell asleep while sitting.
YXW is so cute making that ropE charm and cuddling to sleep against TTJ. TTJ do not, I repeat, do not misunderstand her care as love. Too late, HERE COMES THE LOVE THREADS accompanied by his first sketch charm success! I feel happy and sad.

YQY is also quite handsome and his bearing is good. He is righteous in apologizing for YXW's misdeeds, inviting TTJ for a meal, and asking TTJ to not allow YXW to run rampant. He is also smart and cunning - reading situations quickly and connecting the dots. He knows to apologize to TTJ when shown his "mistake" by YXW. No wonder he became the clan patriarch even though he is young and a good emperor later on.
That TTJ expression when YXW said he is so dumb that he can't get the spells right has me rolling. π€£

These two are so funny! LSS is so childlike in her joy at being at a mortal festival - just soaking up the atmosphere and chowing down on tanghulu. She is being compassionate with TTJ probably not having toys as a child and wanting to buy him the whistle. She also bought the promised coat and apologizing she didn't get it sooner. TTJ with that arrested expression.
