I really like how upright XL is. He told YXW directly of his love for her sister and also to look out for TTJ to prevent war between the kingdoms. Bitchang being relegated to the side concubine of XL because she is a concubine's daughter instead of legal wife is unfair. She is right that up to that point, she has been living a virtuous life. However, it also shows her selective ignorance and greed for a higher position. How can she say she doesn't understand? Even in the Ye household, they show preference for YXW because she is the daughter of the legal wife and mostly indifference for Bitchang since she is a concubine's daughter.

Hmmm this one might be an intense intro to Cdramas especially since its a xianxia. However, many of us love it because of the acting prowess and chemistry between the leads. The world building is also very complex so there are many storylines within the main one. The CGI and costumes are great.
Why don't you read about the premise of the drama and watch a couple of episodes to see if it works for you? ๐
