Why can't he just move on and just help her, and she help him not as a lover but as a former lover/love interests or fellow compatriot. This could be very interesting, both helping each other, without any hindrance of romantic feelings. She lives her life as a wife of that general or whoever he is, and he live his life with 2nd female lead. Both will be happy with their new love interests :)

Many are justifying GC's reason for marrying the general after some time (3 years, not sure about time) by arguing that what GC did was the right decision because, for her information, he was already dead. Therefore, she married the general. However, these same people are criticizing the idea that if JH falls for a newly introduced FL, that would be a very selfish act. They are saying that they will not watch the drama if that happens. So, what do you want? Should ML die for FL, who doesn't even love him and has already forgotten him, and so on? Isn't it ironic that if the FL does these kinds of things, it's considered acceptable, but if our ML does the same thing, he's labeled as bad? What kind of logic is this?
I don't want them together in part 2. Hopefully, they cross paths fight for their country or for saving their country, but I don't wish for the ML to still pursue her because she truly doesn't deserve him. Instead, I hope the ML and 2FL develop great chemistry and a storyline where we can move beyond their troubled past relationship. That would be an improvement. I just hope they both live happy in their own life.

I've mentioned it before, and I'll say it again: he deserves someone who truly appreciates the incredible person he is, he is too good for her.
