The influence of recency on the MDL ratings can be detrimental. If an actor or actress has one hit drama before, their upcoming drama tends to be more popular despite bad/good. The same phenomenon happening with Zhao Lusi and her previous drama 'Love Like the Galaxy.' Based on its success, people are giving higher ratings to her current drama. I am specifically referring to Zhao Lusi, who is currently one of the most popular actresses in Chinese dramas. While this drama is good, it does not deserve a rating of 9.
"If you want to give this drama a 9 rating, go ahead. No one is stopping you. I am also enjoying this drama so far, but that doesn't mean it is a masterpiece."

Simple:- Leads are so popular, so even if the drama is bad or good, they will give it 10 rating. This drama is pretty good but surely, this is not a 9.1 drama for sure.

Why everytime XueYing failing to rescue his mother, I mean everytime something will happen that will hinder in their rescue.

It's not a fake marriage, but he refused to get married with her because something happened to her and Xue Ying doing for her sake, and actually yeah it's goona be so cruel for both of them specially for female lead.

I am puzzled as to why they are revealing so many crucial scenes, such as the details of their failed marriage, the motives behind Xue Ying's actions towards Jin Qiu, and the underlying reasons for it all. It is rather baffling that they would disclose such important aspects. Frankly, I find it frustrating that everything is already being unveiled on Weibo. How can the audience possibly maintain their interest in what is to come when they are already aware of all the major plot points? It reflects how the poor production is.

This drama is likely one of the few that successfully adapted a web novel. XuKai's acting was superb, and the chemistry between the female lead and the bromance was outstanding. I am eagerly awaiting season 2, as it has been a long time since the first season.
