The most important thing for everyone, whether they are actors, directors, or producers is the Yunhe view count. This roughly estimates the average views of episodes. On the first day, it was 11 million, which isn’t bad, it’s decent. But you know what, my expectations were sky-high. And not just mine, everyone’s, as you could see from the reservations being over 5 million. But yeah, high reservations don’t necessarily mean it will surely be a hit.
The only thing you have to keep in mind for a drama to be considered a hit is the Heat Index and Yunhe (views). Maoyan, Vlinkage, and the rest are just pleasing for fans like showing an actor’s popularity.

Not similar at all. Prisoner of Beauty reached 26K on its very first day. It’s simple, on average, a drama’s heat index will increases by 2000 more than whatever it was before airing time, that means if we want to see MR reach 28K, the heat index before the airing time should be at least 26K. Which doesn’t seem likely today.
And yesterday's increase was just 1600, which was below average.
Most probably, there are no new audiences. Unfortunately, the trend is bad, and it is very difficult to even reach 28K like this. I remember the same trend with Wonderland of Love and Sword and Fairy. Word of mouth matters a lot. Let’s hope more people watch this. I’ve seen two episodes, and so far I like it. Chinese audiences are different from international ones, their taste is different. Sigh
I read in one of the older comments that dubbing sync is off because they had to change dialogues during dubbing…
It makes sense, but they should've handled it properly beforehand, I didn't like XuKai's new dubber voice on him, probably because I've seen his lot of dramas with different voice, that might be the reason.
I only watched 1 episode yesterday, will watch remaining episode... Filters, make-up, colour grading, CGI, music are top notch. Especially filter, with the exception of Longest Day In Chang'an, this is the best in that regard, as far as I remember.
Xu Kai's Dubbing is annoying, even If I ignore the fact that the voice doesn't suit him, the sync is sometimes off.

I don't think any drama can reach this benchmark, even Joyy of Life was peaked at 34k, which was already amazing.
