Wow, this drama is so different to other 50-plus series where the parent/s give in early in the story and approve a relationship whereas in other shows it's not till the very end. I don't know where I sit with the 2nd male lead Jin Dan as he does get used by the Mum I was shocked when he locked her up but even more shocked when he didn't chase her. That mother though. She is the worst Ive ever seen yet.
I enjoyed CLOY more as it has more romantic scenes than QOT and there was too much rejection and disrespect towards QOT male lead. CLOY had awesome side stories. I thought the sickness that the FL in QOT was a bit far-fetched.
Gosh the mother should have been tagged as a Main Lead, she was pretty much in every episode and most of the storylines wrapped around her and her childish behaviour towards all characters. Is it true that when you are in your late 20s in China and Korea you are still under your parent's rules?
Awesome drama, had me hooked from episode to episode. love the whole cast, saw only one face slap and unusual friendships amongst the women lols I'm all for the lead male but dont like how he turns ice cold when he puts the mask on. second male lead will be so much safer. that emperor is the worst emperor I've watched.
I am getting a bit bored with FL rejections of Ml especially in front of SML. She needs to start being honest with him from now on, why hide things when ML pretty much knows everything and accepts her as she is. I mean come on, to even put the ring back, what a bitch. Yes I understand and I forgot my happiness what she did for her inlaws. The thing Im hating on the most is Eun Seong. I've seen many many drams with love triangles but he is so disrespectful, he's not even hiding it. Gosh they picked the perfect actor for his role. He riles me up in other dramas too hahahaha. I was surprised FL could pull off such a role, I really enjoyed her in Fight my Way.

Why oh why do most Chinese FL actresses talk and look like little girls, barely opening their mouths to speak, crouching when they are sad, and hey? are guys seriously into those flat-chested, skinny bodies that normally belong to pre-teens? Male Lead though! This is the first time I've seen him and I've watched hundreds of Cdramas and he is one of the best male leads ever. I am so frustrated that these well-built men are fighting over this tiny little girl with little squinty eyes and an eyebrow that does its own thing when she is the confident persona. ridiculous.

oh female lead is so immature. Who the heck tells someone to stand in the corner for five minutes because they are late for a meeting? He should have been made Ceu at the start. His money and excellent troubleshooting got him out of the pickle many times. She has no charisma at all, she is a know it all, a plain young girl who thinks she's just that, with what, six staff? I am on episode 17 and so sick of XiXi. She is a right down bully of everyone. Her voice is sickening, not feminine at all, spoilt rotten kid she is. All she does is yell. Not professional at all. GOd knows why this has 47 episodes. Becaue of her I may drop it. She has put me off watching more Chinese dramas.
One of the best war historical I have seen. I looked forward to each two episodes, I normally binge but I couldn't wait for it to finish. awesome final episode. Nice and tidy ending, not rushed. It has a little bit of everything. Even the romance was subtle. First time I have watched a place king who struggled to bed with more than one wife. Even though I was disgusted at his 1st wife he still kept her close due to her being part of his sad upbringing. In the last episode, I felt a Deja Vue like I had watched the scene of the general walking up to the soldiers to keep pushing ahead. Anyway, I know when I've watched a goodie, it is when I feel a bit empty and I start rampaging through similar dramas.
The fake princess looked so much older, her kisses were just plain fish lips not passionate at all, and her eyes and how they swivelled as a sneaky look put me right off. Bad bad choice of fake princess with fake acting.
As I watch more and more Chinese dramas I'm so glad I don't take the negative reviews as gospel. I loved this drama. The only thing I cringed at was the female lead still gasping at a kiss on the cheek from her husband after five years of marriage hahaha. I was disappointed to see the ML with the brothel girl for the FL to witness. I had almost been fooled that this couple was going to stay true to each other without breaking up or womanising etc. As he had proven himself to always believe her side of the story no matter what, he was really cruel doing that to her. I'm so glad she stuck it out refusing to talk or be with him. It looked like the brothel girl didn't affect her at all. AND.... both second leads in Love with the Mains were the worst unrequited love roles I have ever seen. Not even marriage stopped them. Even the emperor!! However, I don't think the FL deserved these hunks as she passed off as a way too thin girl with a flat chest and pouted so much she looked like a 10-year-old right throughout the drama. Romance with the kisses is boring. Who kisses with shut lips nowadays???
In the end, the ML ended up being the worst betrayer. How could he change his whole personality just like that? He sacrificed his friends. She ended up with no one. Even though the mains were still alive at the end, it was still very sad for the loss of so many of the team.
