I didn't like how Ha Neul rushed to Ji Min's bedroom and stopped to tell Jae Yeon that she was going to invite him on a dinner date, especially when it was obvious that Jae Yeon and Ji Min had strong feelings for each other. Ha Neul comes across as one of those scheming second female leads who emotionally blackmail the female lead over the same love interest. Once again, like in other dramas, Ha Neul was subtly rejected—she needs to read the room. It's very disappointing to see in the previews for the next episode that Ha Neul is going to pull the drama queen act and start crying, as if Ji Min was hers first. Hasn't the tide turned for Ha Neul? In the early episodes, she was the first to connect with all the men, often leaving the other women feeling awkward. However, as new women have entered the scene, she has gradually been sidelined by each of the men and She can only revert back to Ji Min, with whom she has only had dinner once.

Wow, that was one of the best historical dramas I've ever seen, and I’ve watched hundreds! Every episode was packed with excitement and thrills. The ML and FL had incredible chemistry—probably the best I’ve ever seen—though her whispering voice did annoy me at times. Fantastic job overall. I just wish it had been longer!.

Gosh, the FL is such a know-it-all. I've never seen a drama where the general lets his wife have so much influence over his camp and other affairs. He seems a bit wimpy when it comes to the FL.

FL has no appeal, especially when she tries to look shocked! No chemistry between ML and FL whatsoever!!!!!!

I didn’t say having concubines was cheating; I was referring to the ML not allowing the SFL, Lady You Lu, to seduce him. If he had, that would count as cheating.

Up to episode 29, every single episode has been thrilling and leaves me wanting more. This is the best Chinese historical drama I’ve watched so far, and I’ve seen close to 100. What I loved most is his decision not to have concubines so far, which feels so refreshing compared to many other Chinese dramas filled with concubines and cheating.

This series is so frustrating with how it drags on and lacks excitement. I'm at episode 37 and really annoyed with the female lead's ungrateful attitude towards the male lead and his mother. She's become so arrogant and full of herself, especially in the way she treats the second male lead. No chemistry whatsoever.

Oh, thank goodness. I'm getting paranoid about the new lady who’s stirring the pot—the one with the mark on her forehead. In the previews of each episode, it shows her being carried by a man dressed in marital robes.

Im totally irritated with her little whispering voice, it sounds so fake. Far more prettier Chinese actresses.

episode 28 - OMG I cringed at their new bodyguard and his skimpy clothing, but wow, after he ditched the fake beard and mustache, cleaned up, and put on decent clothes, he looked absolutely stunning!

Up to Ep 22 - Why do men sometimes pretend to like another woman just to push away the one they truly love? It's so cruel, and despite all his reasoning, she stood by him from the start, even after his mistreatment. Choosing revenge over love is unforgivable, and he doesn't deserve her. He was nice and loving to her for five minutes. Now he's causing her even more trouble. Yes it may show that he secretly is hating what he is doing but is it really necessary considering she is being physically and mentally harmed? I really hope she ends up with Mr. Zhang instead. Also, why did they have to cruelly kill off so many of her trade convoy "family" all at once and only half-way through the series?

I thought all palace maids were the king's women, so how can that evil minister just go around brutally beating them up like that? That actor plays evil characters in nearly all his series, cant imagine him being a nice person in real life,

i have to say this, those second fmale and male leads are the worst in your face clingy and absolutely no dignity for themselves characters I have ever wathed and I have watched hundreds of dramas!!! The 2ML is an absolute pervert.TL has been single since she gave bith to the twins and the 2ML thinks he has the right to just roll on in and compete with ML like a deranged beast

Cant beleive SFL thought she had the right to read documents in someones drawers in another house, how damn disrespectful!!!!

Fl is very narcissistic and full of herself. Constantly reminds him of the contract, but squirms every time he tries something. She's not pretty at all.

I'm not sure why people liked this one. So unrealistic. FL ends up becoming a wanna be murderer herself, all the school kids talk about wanting to kill this one, kill that one, so many get beaten up with no consequences, a school girl wearing the highest of high heels and skimpy short skirts walking provocatively, another girl allowed to wear all sorts of wigs. Police are incompetent. Why doesn't the cop father look through the one-way mirror at how exactly his son disrespects the police in his interviews?
