Accountability, Suicide, Racism, and the N-Word

Suicide can happen when someone is facing bullying, systematic racism, malicious or mischievous behavior, harassment, or deliberate mistreatment. It can happen when you witness a group making someone else’s life a living hell and you stand there doing and saying NOTHING. When people are suffering, we should not ignore them. We should step in, speak up, and offer a helping hand.

That is a power shift. Taking a word that was meant to degrade Black people and using it on one's own terms can remove some of the power from the person who originally used it as a weapon.
