The way LWY says “wait for me” to JL every time she turns back time—it sounds sincere, like she really believes…
It was so painful to watch, you could see in her eyes how exhausted she had become, wondering how much longer she could keep going just to save him and if she can even save him. But we can still see how determine she is despite all of it.

That’s the point of the drama tho? I recall reading that GJM’s 3 drama (MJTY, FoF and VoS) each have certain…
Isn’t that kind of the point, though? That they’re not perfect, but deeply flawed?

They’re driven by their own desires, emotions, and obsessions, even when it clashes with what’s “right.” That’s what makes them feel more human (representation of human desires), and honestly, more interesting, rather than just clear-cut heroes and villains.

If everyone were perfect and always did the right thing, there wouldn’t really be a story to tell in the first place.

some may not like the directing of Ji Ling crying so much but I actually think it helps elevate the depth of the…
Exactly. Whoever wears the crown, bears the weight, and it’s simply too much weight for him. I don’t know what people expect him to do, he was never supposed to be the 'great' or 'powerful' one. People often mistake "strength" for a lack of emotion, when in reality, Ji Ling’s strength is the fact that he’s still standing at all while being hollowed out from the inside.

He’s a tragic character. An entity literally manifested from his isolation, that is the highest level of loneliness imaginable. Those small things he craves, like the raspberries and the snow, highlight the tragedy. He finally found a reason to live just as he’s being forced to die. He’s not crying because he’s weak, he’s mourning the life he had.

Sometimes, it feels like people are watching a completely different show.

It would be more weird if he wasn't crying. He literally just witnessed how his beloved tries to rewind the time…
I get what you mean, but it’s not just “too much crying.”

He’s been suppressing everything for so long, and now that he’s opened up, it’s all coming out. It’s less about bad directing and more about showing him finally breaking.

He wasn't just burdened with those responsibilities for a few years, he was stuck there for hundreds of years

and here you are, your comment just makes things more toxic by triggering fans to become even more toxic.
They just really need to flip through magazines and stare at their favorites' faces since it's all what they want to see anyway

Bored 🥱 “Wu Shiguang and Wu Wangyan have very little screen time. I wish there were another drama focused…
The 'billing' obsession needs to stop. Some fans treat screen time like a strict quota instead of letting the narrative breathe. They complained for weeks that LWY lacked substance and development, but now that the show is actually exploring her lore and explaining her motives, they’re complaining about her screen time. You can't ask for character depth and then get mad when the show spends time building it. It makes no sense.

"overanalyzing certain scenes in a way that feels more like they’re steering the conversation just to make…
The fact that people are even counting shows they’ve lost sight of the plot. A good story gives characters time based on what the scene requires, not who has the biggest fanbase. If you’re that obsessed with how many minutes a face is on screen regardless of the script, you’re not watching a show.

Exactly, screen time and that billing bs does not matter. It’s clear those kinds of fan have stopped prioritizing the writing. If you’re only there to stare at the actors' faces, you might as well flip through a magazine. It’s fine to watch for your favorites, but don't force that onto everyone else, a drama should always be about the story first.
