It is a HE in the greater sense that peace was reached and they all got their revenge/problems resolved. But it is also BE in the sense that in their personal lives, none of them truly got who they wanted in terms of relationships.

3rd ML's love interest married 2nd ML for political reasons

I personally hope the ending doesn't get changed because I love this kind of angst. That is just life sometimes. You reach your ultimate goal but your personal relationships get impacted along the way.

It is ambiguous because FL doesn't really have romantic feelings for him. They might live together and take care of the child together aka more co-parents than anything but feeling-wise, ML pretty much had all of FL's heart by the end of it.

I forgot if the 3rd ML is Cui Lang or some other guy, but from what I have read with the snippets, 3rd ML's love interest married 2nd ML at the end for political reasons. 3rd ML then went and "live with" FL aka take care of her but this is left more ambiguous whether it is love or mainly just to support her since ML is gone and FL turned down 2nd ML's invitation to let him take care of her.

Both the ML and 2nd ML outright tried to kill to FL multiple times (from thinking she is a spy to using her against each other). Jiang Ci gets stabbed, poisoned, etc. Just don't expect romance to come right away because it won't for awhile. Also, FL and 2nd ML actually had a thing first before FL and ML develops. It is slow burn but the development of the characters is amazing.

Also maybe warning in case ppl didn't read the novel, this is a legit enemies to lovers trope. Some spoilers below:

AHHHHH, we finally got the official trailer (though still no official announcement of air date). Love it!!! I have read snippets of this novel here and there and it has been said the script (also adapted by the novel writer) is great too so I can't wait.

36 episodes to 40 episodes which is nice, I often feel like drama get reduced episodes after going through the distribution license process, so it is nice to see it increase for once. Anddd promo team finally listening to fans and releasing more interesting edits on Douyin like Wei Zhao and Jiang Ci straight up nailing each other (literally) LOL.

Finally, got us all worried with how long it took!!

Mess. I don't know why they think they will get to air in September then if they still haven't gotten the distribution license because who is to say they will get it by September... fans are already not happy with the promo tactic aka not releasing interesting cuts on Douyin and instead these BTS of scenes we know nothing about from 100 different angles. They even posted to fans asking what scene they wanted to see the most and for those who didn't read the novel to begin with or didn't buy the script to read, they were flabbergasted. 💀

Li Landi heading home to Beijing today and a fan asked her if this drama is airing soon, and she said she doesn't know either 💀 Guess they STILL haven't gotten the distribution license...

Li Landi just wrapped up her other drama filming so she probably has some time now to promote if this drama really is dropping this month (she filmed 3 dramas back to back so she will probably take a break now before doing her next one).

They dropped new posters! Seems like they are slowly building the heat now.

Based on all the info here and there, it really seems we will get this drama this month (they are releasing something new today about it so let's see what it is).

It does! The cases seem interesting, and I really like the color grading/lighting they used as seen in the trailers. This drama is wrapping up in 2-3 days so we should get a drama wrap up video soon too.

"Love's Rebellion" already ended; did you mean "Are You the One?" I saw that melon too, but it would mean they only have 1 week left and still no promo.

I forgot but it was some director/producer problem. I don't know if this drama will ever air unfortunately.

This drama has 8 cases in total, so they are essentially dropping 1 trailer per case as promo/get people interested to make sure they tune in later on. They are dropping 1 trailer a month so there should be trailers going all the way to January 2025. And depending on how fast post-production/distribution licensing is, it might be able to air around then.

Tons of rumors saying this drama will air in September but no news of distribution license and no promotion at this time... also tons of theories on why this is happening such as the production company having another drama they prioritize more to air. But who knows what is truly happening, let's just hope it airs at this point even if it is just them dropping the drama with no promo.

All three leads already have at least 1 drama that couldn't air either due to the director, co-star, etc. so it would be heartbreaking if this is another one.

It has died down for now and the drama should be done filming soon! If there are any future fights, it will probably be during the drama airing (depending on how it does, screentime, etc.).
