There really is no competition between these 2 dramas when First Frost's team got a whole promotion company to release videos for them as promo. 😅 They are making videos aimed to go viral on Douyin with the type of moments and BGM used. Filter's promo tactic is not the best right now when it comes to Douyin (but we will see if that changes as we draw closer to the air date). Their best promo so far has been them on Hi6 and that generated more interest than the video clips/teasers they released so far. A lot of people don't even know Filter is airing either. The best thing fans can do is hope that the script is good and pump out their own edits to try to spread the word. If the drama is good, content reviewers will drop positive review videos and that will hopefully increase interest.

Ohhhhh, nice catch. I saw a theory that maybe TQ has Tetrachromacy (ability to see more colors than an original person) so maybe he was using that to find SCC (since SCC in that scene was probably invisible).

People are noticing TQ has to take off his glasses in that scene to find/see SCC. 👀

Frying CP means excessively frying a relationship with one's co-star to the point that ppl think they are dating irl to get more shippers invested -> generate discussion/increase stats -> increase views for drama -> shippers become individual fans and start supporting the actor/actress even after the drama.

Drama has typical ship promo which is common (videos of the actors/actresses being sweet together, behind the scenes of them getting along, etc.). However, there are actors and actresses who push the boundaries beyond the typical promo by actively saying, doing, or posting things (during interviews, on their own account, on their team/studio's account, etc.) to make it seem like a relationship with their co-star is possible outside of the drama filming.

It is a method C-actors/actresses do in order to increase their own fans and get people talking about them. This method is quite common among liuliang actors/actresses and those who are seeking to blow up in popularity.

I think the good thing is that that regular viewers have a pretty positive image of him because he doesn't play into the typical liuliang infighting with the buying of hot searches/frying ships, etc. Antis will always make fun of stats and views (and every good actor/actress will have a flop project here and there that wasn't due to their acting), but they will never be able take away good acting/good vocal acting from legit good actors/actresses. 10-20 years from now, all these current top liuliang will age and their popularity/fandom won't be enough for them to bag good projects, they need actual skills. TJC will be fine, and I am sure he will continue to get good works.

I guess they are worried because 2/24 is not the best date (since people are returning to school/work that Monday) and "Filter" is not a big IP (+ original script) compared to some of the other romance dramas.

But I think as long as the script is decent/good, it will get interest/views via words of mouth and that is always better than being a big IP and absolutely flopping. The worry also stems from fandom fights in general because they know stans of other actors/actresses will be checking the stats and it is basically a dragging war if the drama doesn't hit certain numbers (especially since TJC is more in that liuliang category after he blew up in "Lost You Forever" and there are expectations of stats he should achieve but his acting has been acknowledged already so even if he doesn't meet certain numbers, he will still be able to get work just by his ability to act).

At the end of the day, they are actors/actresses and acting is more important than anything. A drama blowing up positively depends on a variety of factors + luck. The cast just needs to do their job well. 🙏

Our main couple already got a ship name on the C-side: 冰糖(唐)橙 (Bing Tang Cheng aka Citrus sinensis, it is a hybrid fruit of pomelo and mandarin). 😊

The "Tang" is taken from Tang Qi's name (ML) and "Cheng" from Su Cheng Cheng's name (FL).

They will probably drop a trailer with more plot-focus content closer to the airing date. 👀 Tong Hua needs to just not falter around the end and we are good since her endings can be uhhh, interesting LOL.

I guess they were trying to go for that comedy/absurd angle at first to try to attract people's interest in this not being the typical romcom drama. If they drop another teaser focused on the melo aspect, it will complete the triangular effect. 🤔 And I guess they saved the romantic one for Valentine's Day (today in China LOL).

They definitely seem to have a past since SCC admitted to liking him before and how she was "young and didn't know better" (in that new teaser). 👀 I am reading some theories of him being the smart one in school while she was the more athletic one which does make sense with all her action scenes. Hope this drama drops soon, I am very curious since there are too many elements in this drama.

Rumors right now are saying it will air the last week of February so it should be soon.

Yup! It is better to be interesting/unique than a typical story because at least that will attract more people to check it out.

Fans are dropping more filming clips and now there is a clip of SCC lying on the ground in front of a car??? It does seem like there is some angst for sure.
