I wish it was shorter

I can't believe that I'm saying this for a 12 episode drama but the amount of replayed scenes was just too much for me.

Halfway through the drama, I would have rated this as 10. The concept was interesting, the actors were good especially the one playing Sa Wol, there's chemistry between the leads and the storyline was tight. That jealousy dinner scene was truly hilarious. But from there, replayed scenes kept increasing which made me very thankful to the fast forward button. Still, this is a nice story that you would want to watch if you're in the mood for something romantic.

No questions, just a nice happy ending

This had great concept. Because of a family curse, a woman will turn into a dog at midnight if ever she kisses anyone. At 6am she will return to normal but the transformation will repeat itself every night until she, as a dog, kisses the same person. She will only have 100 days to kiss the same person again or else she will remain as a dog. But what if she kisses someone who's afraid of dogs? What can be done to lift the family curse?

Some are saying that Cha Eun woo can't act but I still think he was an appropriate choice for this drama. His awkwardness somehow felt believable for the ML's character, and boy oh boy can he kiss. I think I can forgive him anything just for his kiss scenes.

Park Gyuyoung as the FL, despite good acting, was somewhat lacking for me. I somehow can't buy into her acting bubbly, maybe because I can't separate her from her Celebrity character yet.

This is my first time to see Ryu Abel who played the FL's sister and she looks so much like the actor Heo Jung Min from Go Back Couple that it was all I can think about whenever she's onscreen.

Yoon Hyun Soo as the FL's student was my favorite character of all. When he was advised the ML and FL on their new relationship was the most hilarious part of the drama for me.

For the music, there was a particular ominous bgm they use too much that it became distracting. Silence would have made ominous scenes more impactful.

Despite many replayed scenes which I think should have been cut to lessen the episodes, I think the drama was able to tell its story from Ep1-13 and used Ep 14 to just wrap everything so nicely that you can't help but feel satisfied, especially with the outro song they have used. I might not rewatch it anytime soon but it will definitely put it on the list of rewatchable dramas.

Exciting start, boring middle, proper ending

This might have been better as a shorter series. The first two episodes were so interesting that I initially chased this drama. The Silla-Gaya background and the 1500 year grudge really drew me in. However, as the drama progressed and the main villain was introduced, it just felt like a series of repetitive cat and mouse game, which ultimately made the middle so boring that I decided to just wait until all episodes are out before binge watching and fast forwarding. This had so much potential but ruined by lazy script writing. The main villain's reason for being was too weak for me. The powers of the ghosts and JunOh's fame were treated as plot devices and were inconsistent, it's there when needed but negligible when it's not. To be fair, I really liked the ending and how they incorporated the drama title into a scene. It was, for me, the proper ending for the main characters, with Doha's grudge finally being resolved. Overall, though it's not something I'll rave about, this is a good enough drama to pass the time.

Writers want us to cry, cry, cry. Then cry some more

I remember watching this in 2013 but found the middle too draggy that I've decided to just watch the ending. Rewatching this 10 years later and was tempted to do so again because I still found the middle boring and repetitive.

The story started with our tragic 15 yr old Suyeon who was treated as an outcast and labelled as a murderer's daughter. She was befriended by the charismatic Jungwoo and romantic feelings between them started to grow. A kidnapping led to their separation and Suyeon was declared as dead but Jungwoo refused to accept this. Now, 14 years later, he met Zoe (Yoon Eun Hye), a woman who reminds him so much of Suyeon. Jungwoo (Park Yoochun) is trying to make her admit that she is Suyeon but Zoe insists on living with Harry (Yoo Seungho), the man who saved her when she felt so abandoned. However it seems that Harry had secrets, secrets related to that kidnapping.

When the adult versions were first shown in the drama, I actually wanted Zoe to be with Harry. Eun Hye just seems to have more chemistry with Seungho. It was when the Harry's character development got worse and worse that I felt bored with the drama. The cameras became the deal breaker for me. I wouldn't have minded if the FL was aware of them from the start but she wasn't so it felt icky. I guess it was a trend in old dramas to make the second lead so bad that you'll be forced to root for the ML-FL loveline but I still couldn't because I can't believe that she can throw away Harry. So in the end I would have preferred that she not choose anyone.

Will I recommend this? If you just want to have a reason to cry or see a long haired Oh Jung Se, then go ahead. Will I rewatch again, I'll definitely say no thank you.

More loopholey but still a great follow up to the series

I guess a series as great as SOOD was just really hard to top but the movie made a valiant effort. They gave Junjie such a fake mustache. The time loop just barely makes sense. Given that this is just a little over one hour, some scenes that can clarify were probably cut out. Still, the movie effectively made me wish again for that happy ending for Ziwei and YuXuan. Though this can be watched as a stand alone, knowing what happened in the series made me root for them more. I just have to say that the people who made this really knows how to deliver that emotional punch, they make you think that all is good then BAAM and show you the reality of emptiness and longing. Also, Alice Ko once again was pretty good in the 2014 scenes. Without words, I already knew YunRu was in YuXuan's body just by the way she spoke slowly and lowered her eyes. I am also glad they showed Quansheng more. In the series, I felt pretty bad for him, he only experienced harsh rejection so that he tried to kill himself. He then became a body host for ZiWei then died in a plane crash, without a chance to be happy. But in the movie, he was able to find love, even if it didn't last. All in all, though I want more from the movie, I am quite satisfied in the closure it gave the characters.

Good chemistry of leads but has a rushed ending

How? How? How can it have 51 episodes but still has a rushed ending? Put all romance drama tropes together then kill off your characters, that's how.

It started fine. A female lead who could possibly be an important person but living as a beggar and a prince who have a secret masked hero identity was a good setup. I immediately liked the chemistry of the main leads. There's bickering but you know there's also attraction. I really liked the scene when the FL discovered the ML's true identity. The 'I like you but I know I shouldn't' part was really nicely done. But chemistry alone could not save a drama especially if it fails in character development. Except for a difference in status, the FL and ML had the same characters through the whole series, like they did not invoke changes in each other's beliefs, attitudes or actions. Maybe I would have enjoyed this better if the divinity of the FL was further explored or if she tried to learn kungfu instead of always relying on someone else to save her. The main problem of this drama is that it lacked focus, it doesn't know what to do with its characters. Most supporting characters are just tools that can be easily killed off. It was hard relating to them because they were just there, doing good or bad things because the scriptwriter said so. This would have been better off as a shorter drama because there were a lot of scenes that seemed unnecessary. But since it was already long, it was really inexcusable that the last episode was rushed like that where you don't really know what happened to the characters in that last battle. The happy ending was too forced. I probably won't rewatch, it's too long and nothing special.

Better than the original

Greg Hsu, I love you! He and his smile totally made this more watchable and more poignant than the original Korean movie 'On your wedding day'.

I have watched the original movie liked it enough for depicting a realistic failed romance but it not make me cry like 'My Love' did. This adaptation retained the spirit of the original but removed the things I did not particularly like, resulting to a more impactful story. Pretty Rounan acted well enough but it was weak compared with Greg Hsu who carried this movie for me. He was a believable rowdy HS student, naughty university student, aspiring then failed athlete, strict HS swimming coach. His monologue near the end will make you wish they were still endgame but makes you accept that he's content that she's happy. The fact that they have let go of their regrets made me feel they truly have closure and can each move on to a better future.

This is a classic. Full of complications that only old dramas can provide

Watched this 2010 drama in 2022 and I just ask 'Why haven't I watched you before?'. In the first 3 minutes, you already know that this will be angsty love triangle.

Barbie Hsu was great as Xiamo who I felt was one of the hardest heroine to portray. You can't read her. Sometimes she will say she's uninterested but her eyes are saying otherwise. She tries not to harm others but will fight those who try to harm her. She enthralled her two leading men. Both men have insecurities that makes them possessive of Xiamo but both of them would also do anything for her. You can't be sure who she'll end up with because she seems to have feelings for both.

This 24 episode drama had some of the cheesiest monologues near the end but it still made me cry and root for the ML.

Too short

Drama you are too cruel. After watching this I can't help but ask 'What happened next?'

Episode 1 was exciting and seemed to promise a healing story. This remained a promise until the last scene. You feel that a good thing is going to happen but you don't actually see it happen.

The ML and SML were cute but it was Aoi Morikawa's performance that carried this show. Watching her was like the watching an anime character come alive. She's totally believeable as a woman being awakened to love.

The ost sounded great. The last song has such an uplifting vibe that you feel like everything's gonna be ok.

Great and insane, this terrified me.

The story tries to dwell on the psychological impact of a person's surroundings. After a few episodes, you can't help but want to know how it all ends as the ML is continued to be harassed. Some said this was not for the fainthearted and coward that I am I should have believed them. I should not have let my bias for Lee Dong Wook get the better of me.

Almost everyone contributed to condition of the ML in the end. It was not just the people in that fatal apartment. It really showed the premise that hell is other people and it's up to a person to look out for himself. I never thought Lee Dong Wook could ever look that creepy. He was still handsome and sexy but in a scary way. I would never be able to see him as an absolute hunk as I did in the past. Im Siwan was totally believeable as the ML who was struggling to overcome his obstacles. If only he received the help that he needed when he needed it, he wouldn't have ended up in that condition.

The story has some loopholes and is too insane to happen IRL. I also would have wanted some backstory on Munjo so I've rated it only 7/10. But the acting and music used were perfect for what this drama was depicting, how scary humans can be. I don't think I would ever rewatch this again. Call me a coward but this was too terrifying.

Whirlwind smutty romance

I was overwhelmed by how fast-paced the romance in this drama was. Just watch Episode 1 and you would know what I mean. It had everything that could have happened in 3-4 episodes in other dramas.

Even though this employs the cold mature man melted by a warm younger woman trope, the leads had a healthy relationship. The icy man also melted pretty quickly. Despite their large age gap, the ML never disrespected the FL once they established their relationship. Even though the ML was more experienced while the FL was still naive, you can feel that both are invested in making the relationship work. Though there were some jealousies, it never reached to the point of becoming a Great misunderstanding.

However, despite the seemingly great relationship, I can't help but feel some ick factor, it felt creepy somehow. Maybe it's just me but the ML was too overconfident and calculating, maybe he was just too experienced. To be honest, he never forced the FL to do anything she didn't want to, the FL just kept saying sorry for everything even when she had nothing to be sorry for. The ML finds this naivety super cute and when she says sorry you can be sure that he will kiss her or make love with her. So expect a lot of skinship scenes.

I also did not understand what happened in the last few episodes with the ML's stepmother. I didn't know what the conflict was or why the FL's solution resolved the conflict. I just know that everyone was happy.

Decent enough, not just my cup of tea

Chemistry between the ML, FL and SML was apparent. I can see the FL with either guy. The other two CPs are cliched romances that felt like fillers.

The first half was enjoyable enough but the second half made me feel like I was also lied to by the ML. But still I tried to understand why the FL should give him a second chance. Then the drama revealed the twist about the prince and princess consort which was framed as a reincarnation story. It was understandable but I felt like I was lied to once again.

Maybe because I really don't like being lied to that I didn't fully enjoy this drama.

Crazy but it's not too bad

One set of twins with different personalities. Two love stories. Yep this is again one of those stories where a twin pretends to be the other.

For about half the series, the shy twin (XiaoMu) needed to pretend to be the popular twin (YaoMengrui) who had an accident. The show then went ballistic upon the return of the popular twin. Audience now has to guess which twin is playing who. Though drama show that the twins clearly loved each other, misunderstandings made them doubt each other. It was only when all lies were finally exposed that they were able to have a better relationship and hope for better futures.

I particularly enjoyed the love stories of each twin. There were many times that both ML and SML seemed robotic in their acting but I can ignore all that because Zheng He Hui Zi had such great chemistries with both her leading men. I must be crazy because I found the popular twin's crazy love story more interesting. I also liked YaoMengrui more despite her dubious and calculating character. I know that she tried to harm XiaoMu but she believed that XiaoMu had hurt her first. She hides her insecurity behind confidence and aggressiveness but beneath her sarcasm and seeming indifference was her caring nature that's shown to only a few people.

I don't know why but despite it's cliches and almost predictable but still crazy story, I really loved this drama.

Great side stories

A lot of issues were tackled in this drama. Toxic relationships, unwanted pregnancy, LGBTQ romance, etc. But the main plot and all subplots were satisfactorily concluded.

For the main CP of older FL/younger ML, I wished the ML had more drive. He pretty much hesitated in most of his decisions, letting situations control him, but it was very obvious how much he loves and protects the FL.

The male/male couple really upgraded this show and was more interesting than the main CP. Their enemies to devoted lovers transition was 10/10. OuWen had the most emotive face among all the characters and Mark had the most growth.

Honestly? Zzzzz

I watched this solely for Ryan Ding and though I liked his performance well enough, I was pretty much bored with this drama. Maybe it was just the mood I was in but this was like a little scheme here, a little misunderstanding there, then throw in a lot of cliches and viola you have a 24 episodes romcom.

Maybe the leads as a star actress and a successful surgeon were too perfect to be relatable. From an engaged couple who were like total strangers to serious lovers, their relationship growth felt forced and artificial. Though the kisses looked real, I didn't feel their chemistry. The second couple (ML's doctor friend and FL's agent) was no better. I did not understand their on and off relationship. They kept having petty reasons to not be together. The third CP (ML's sister and FL's former suitor) had the only believable romance and chemistry. Too bad they had very little screentime. All of the 3 CP storylines seemed disjointed with each other so I felt like I was watching a mashed up 3 romance stories.

I probably won't rewatch since anything this drama offers can be seen in others.
