I understand that people have different opinions and that this drama does not live up to your expectations, but…
I think they mean that in a typical /wuxia quest, to some extent, it’s about levelling up— the quest is to unlock the next level up of your abilities, or cultivate your next amazing skill, with the goal of reaching the peak of possible fighting abilities. (like for the greater good or the greater evil, improving is important to the lead and also a struggle for them they only improve through overcoming difficulties or reaching near death.)
Here XQS already knows what abilities are going to be granted to him by the plot, so he isn’t stressing about how he can unleash new levels of awesome in himself as an end goal 🤣😆 Could be reading them wrong though!
Oh? I just watched till ep 3 and still so fun so far.. but reading your review.. I feel hesitant.. Qiqi is one…
Form your own judgement I would say, I am on 38 and still enjoying it and wouldn’t say they particularly did that to him at all, so it’s a subjective thing.
Wow, did they intentionally sabotaged TJOL? I knew the c-ent industry was shady but to 'purposely' messed with…
tbh, it is way more likely that the platforms were working with multiple locked cuts for stuff like subbing and dubbing (very normal) and that they didn't update to the final cut before airing or someone mislabeled a version. I think the blooper stuff was only WeTV one of the comments said? In that case, it would just be a WeTV staffer who messed up, not the whole show's editors for those.
The editing and pacing and writing being off is probably more to do with there being 4 producers and 7 screenwriters and 5 production companies involved and only 3 months total to shoot the whole thing than anyone intentionally sabotaging it. Overall it has still been super enjoyable to me despite the stuff you're flagging, and I feel like genuine sabotage would have resulted in a product that wasn't fun to watch, not just continuity issues ☺️
As a fan of wuxia love stories like A Journey to Love, Sword Snow Stride, Who Rules The World, and Dashing Youth,…
He is a gentle soul to be sure, at least at the start, and never really loses the soft heart he has for others. For me, the journey was about how the book can change the reader, as opposed to how the reader can change the book, so I was okay with it never being about the power level of our lead, but I can see how it's a totally different tone and feel to the ones you've listed for sure. Hopefully they make some series more in your style for you in the upcoming series lineups!
Shouldnt we get extra short episodes ? Maybe they will include deleted scenes there?
I kinda hope we don't, honestly, (though I've not yet seen it to know how bad it is b/c I gotta wait 3 whole more days ;-;).
The message of life isn't about how it ends but how you live it is not gonna hold up so well if we have two alternate endings so that we can pick. Having picked the ending they did, the writers should own it and stick to it. XD
He just got the soul nail out that was attached to his meridians so temporarily weakened i believe
The voidheart codex lets you absorb power from others, kinda like what the masters gave XQS except you can take it even when they aren’t offering. Once Kaiyan absorbed some of his inner force, Crazy Yan not only lost it but Kaiyan gained it, so Kaiyan got proportionately more powerful and Crazy Yan less so. If you think of it as a battery, he is stealing all the power and Yan can’t recharge except actual time or else items that give you 60 years of power etc. (or at least that’s how I read it 😅😅)
Ahh, no, I was replying to the post asking about GotD heat index; no idea how this show’s going there but since no one’s posted about it yet I’d also assume it hasn’t 😅😅
How come his face didn’t show any scarring before he revealed it to Qiushui? How did he cover them? It’s the…
It's shown later you can force them back with internal energy to hide them, but that they show when you expend your inner force on stuff. So most likely the battle with his family members depleted his inner force so he couldn't force back the rot anymore. (I think!)
Can someone help me recall? There was a scene in opening credit xqu in white blue costume fighting his way from…
Ep1 XMM original write up with the flying horse start and the end with the “lonely as snow”, in the middle he narrates that XQM attacks the power gang and beats them all with his 600 years of bonus power end we see him going up those stairs.
does FL get any better? Im on ep 6 and she's so dumb she ruins everything
In the sense that she’s hopelessly naive and trusts the wrong people constantly, always landing herself in danger and seldom is actually helping? She never does unfortunately 😅 She’s very kind and loyal and forthright, but competent she is not.

(but only semi-spoiler cuz with CY it's rarer to get a character who does live than one who does not. 3/3 CY, aim lower for ur next exam pls ;-;)

I didn't actually see it myself (as in, Weibo photos), I just assumed cuz of the article, but I wasn't watching while airing...
