Haiya is a village, it's explained in ep 7. Someone massacred the village of haiya. Some say it was massacred…
@Megumi-H didn't they say that the massacre took place while the old emperor was still alive but very ill? Unless the current emperor was the crown prince or something, since he clearly new about it - MLs master tried to bring it up in the first episode but the emperor shut him up.

Yep, I think this is where the story is going - that the ML is one of the child survivors and his master was at the massacre when he was a soldier and rescued him. I wouldn't be surprised if the Yesha mastermind is ultimately trying to drive him toward something drastic like overthrowing the government as an ultimate act of revenge.
Seriously, please no repeat of KLML, the Glory or Princess Gambit, enough is enough. And I am sorry, Nirvana in…
KMLM traumatized me too. I suffered through The Glory and in the end it wasn't worth it, but I learned from that and dropped The Princess Gambit halfway (I did watch the last 5 minutes of the last episode when it came out and it made me happy I dropped it). Yes, Blossom was good.
I actually think the FL is just fine - as a tough cop chick she is great. That said, so far I am with those who say that the ML has more chemistry with the coroner guy and his assistant - but then, the romance is only a side plot in this story and from what little is shown the FL clearly does have feelings for the ML. "Chemistry" is in the plot - will just have to see how it develops.
Once again long term poison troupe..someone please cure him asap
Seriously, please no repeat of KLML, the Glory or Princess Gambit, enough is enough. And I am sorry, Nirvana in Fire this is not. I am sure there others I have forgotten (or was not aware of). Oh, right, Blossom.
Must give a shout-out to the actor who played Prince Chang - I had no idea it was the same person that played Wei Xiao in TPOB, he carried himself so completely different, great job!
I am probably the only person who thought that the body count in the end was too high, especially compared to the novel. There was no reason for the harmless Crown Prince to die. JMO, of course.
Does anyone know what the story is with the name Jiang Dashan and why JYC was complaining about it?
I believe Xiao Hua means Little Flower, which makes sense for Mudan, I am just curious what Dashan means. Shan might be mountain, but I am not sure how it makes sense in context.
