It's actually! the actors know how act they are genuine not stiff as the ones in Thai ver.
while i can see how it could come off as stiff, i interpreted it as Teerak being a people pleaser and sheltered, and Fah as being highly introverted with some anger management issues. side note: i too think this adaptation is worth watching so far.
First off let me say I LOVE the Thai version. It is one of my comfort shows and have watched it several times already. I was not disappointed at all with the 1st ep of this version. I've seen both leads in other shows, Hinata(Teerak in Thai version) was in School Trip and I really like him and really wanted to see him in a bl yay! And Sora(Fah in Thai version) was in Takumi Kun remake but I don't really remember him all that much(I perfered his character in the original). As for the changes they made, they cut the run time in half, dropped the female friend of Hinata, and cut alot of the filler stuff down or out all together like the opening scene, getting Sora's shirt cleaned(he just replaced it with out the contrived plot to clean it and return it to be sneaky). I worry that the shortened run time will make it feel rushed but also could make it better. I'm quite happy with Ayuta's portrayal of Hinata, and we will see about Sora. Thomas made Fah's awkwardness feel very natural. We will see, tho I will proably wait till it's done airing to continue watching because I am a Binger and I really hate having to wait a week.

I completely agree! I thought it was one of the cutest shows! I've already rewatched it twice lol and I love their chemistry! i hope that they get another lead role soon!
loved the first ep. am so sat for this! i hate weekly viewing but for MaxkyBas I'll do it! i loved seeing the boys from Caged again, and always happy to see Gunner, I'm glad he isnt a dick or villian in this show

Hmm, im not sure. I dont watch the credits rolling as i cant read Thai, so maybe he isnt listed there? But yes i enjoy his work and am looking forward to watching his career!
just started the 1st ep, (am a binger), am 16 mins in and while i am quite happy to see Gunner getting work, i did not like watching that scene in the hotel. ðŸ˜
Same as most everyone else, i really liked it and will recommend at watch (or two+) Also can we appreciate the casting for the teen roles. It was really good imo, usually it kinda grates my nerves cuz it often doesnt fit, and takes me out of the watch, but here that was not the case at all.
First, Loved it! DMD is killing it this year, cant wait for more. Second, I was a NetJames fan but support both artists regardless of the sunken ship. So while yes I was a lil skeptical that I would like the NetJJ ship, Net (and JJ) are quite obviously happy with it and i want to support them. There really wasnt enough screen time for them in TNP for me to yet have an opinion of the new ship (but i did enjoy what we got). LUaT really solidified it for me, tho i still say Net would have chemistry with a rock. They all did quite well and im really looking forward to seeing what else NetJJ and LatteKim do in the future. And third, am i the only one who thought Latte looked like a young Hyunjin from SKZ?
Over all I really liked this one. I docked half a star for the fake kisses. I was going to dock more for it because its listed as Taiwan, and we've gotten so much better out of Taiwan. But then I read that its probably more likely that it is actually China and they used a loophole for Taiwan tag. I hope the cast and crew get their MDL pages soon so i can check out more of their work.
I spent the entire final ep just crying. And not cute crying, ugly crying, cant breath through my nose crying. Dont get me wrong, I do NOT regret watching at all. It was a very very good show. Def more queer than bl(and thats okay), and it was more open ended i guess, but iykyk. I went into this not knowing anything about it, thought it was a Jbl, so was not mentally prepared for where it went at the end. But again, dont regret watching even one second of this. And would recommend but with the caveat that you will need tissues at a couple points. Primarily the end.
And third, am i the only one who thought Latte looked like a young Hyunjin from SKZ?
