All of it are in NovelUpdates. I don't think there are a lot of stories that are written like Rebirth of a Star General and the author's other novels, so I'm also always looking for similar stories 😅

I rarely like the drama adaptation more than the novel, but this production is so good. Seeing those novel scenes came to life in Ep 27 is so nicee 😭 I love this so much, and more than Blossom now huhu. I can't wait when Xie Zheng finds out Changyu's real identity and the punishment scene

Amazing! They did a great job at adapting the novel. They did some minor changes with some of the characters, but stayed true to the source. Ep 5 and 6 is the start of the hook for me and established the chemistry between ZLH and TXW. Both leads did a great job and really felt like the book characters. No wonder the first ep was good because the director did Blossom too (one of my faves). Their separation is near, and I can't wait for the kissing scene 🔥

While watching this, it felt so familiar that I thought I watched it before but just forgot. I checked if it was adapted from a novel and it was. I read the manhua and I enjoyed it a lot. Really nice that they actually adapted it into a drama

If you read and like this drama, there is a fun family reincarnation (also their cats reincarnated too) story called The Tanaka Family Reincarnates adapted as a novel and manga. I loved this drama because it reminded me of that story plus the cooking aspect.

Binged watched this and I really loved it! It wasn't too heavy and leads had so much chemistry that I enjoyed their every moment. I also loved that there was an arc where the FL was allowed to separate from the ML, and was allowed to do her own thing before their reunion.

It’s good too, but the characters’ personalities and jobs are different. Hu Xiu is more miserable than in the drama as she comes from a broken family and had her engagement broken. Her meeting with Xiao Yu is still the same, at the murder mystery game (not VR), but he’s a full-time actor instead of an architect. He Xiu works as a translator, her best friend is a social media influencer, and the cafe owner is someone else who’s close to them. The story also leans more into the love triangle with Pei Zhen, who’s a doctor at the hospital where the FL works.

I remember watching this before and I didn't finish it. It's a good thing youtube recommended it to me again because of Chen Xing Xu. Rewatching his dramas after love between lines

I loved this so much that I went ahead and read the novel 🤣. I was instantly hooked with the VR murder mystery game concept, I hope there will be more dramas that incorporates it to the story 💖

This drama is so fun! Perfect for when you just want to relax. Some scenes felt familiar, and when I checked the novel, I realized I’d read it before. Adding the time-traveling family made the story even more lively. The novel itself is good, and this drama is a really good watch too despite the changes

I missed Lusi and I'm so happy to see her again! I'm glad that this drama focused more on her struggles and not too much on the romance. Lusi's acting in here is so gooddd, so different from her past roles. She really matured well as an actress 💗💗💗

The events leading to the ending was kind of different than the novel, and I'd still say I prefer the novel's intensity more, especially since the real He Yan is dead so the confrontations were more dramatic. You could really feel the anticipation of the buildup leading to the truth in the novel. Since some storylines were altered, there are parts of the drama where I felt something was missing. But Zhou Ye did a fantastic job as He Yan and this drama was a good adaptation, so I just think of this as another version of the story 💞. Also, such a missed chance that they did not include the extra story where He Yan and Xiao Jue had a daughter.

Yess, jt was a happy ending. The story itself was light compared to other historical novels, and it focused on He Yan's finding her identity after being betrayed by her family and fulfilling her revenge 💞 Some parts were changed like the rebirth but it's still essentially the same story with minor changes

I love it ✨ It's a bit different from the novel, but at least they didn't stray away from most of the important scenes. I love seeing He Yan and Xiao Jue brought to life 🫶 Their chemistry is exactly what I imagined from the novel 💖

I'm still at Ep 7 and I must say that Song Zu Er has gotten better at acting, she clearly expresses her character. I've been loving her dramas lately due to her acting and paired with Liu Yu Ning is a treat to watch 🥰

This drama is addicting 😭. The later episodes are full of scenes of the couple, ep 17 had me squealing. I love the direction of this ep, using touch as showing they are getting closer to each other. Also, just realized that they are the same leads in Go Go Squid, so that's why they are so natural with each other 🥰

I love how the ML and FL's relationship was rooted from business to friendship. I especially love the orphanage scene, kind of reminded me of Aerith's Garden in FF7 with how tranquil it was and the music in that scene was so good.
