I beg to differ. 
Seongjae's mannerisms to the down-and-out Jihyeok has changed suddenly. 
Jihyeok was still eating and he asked him whether he was done. 
Jihyeok was in such a pathetic state that he collapsed.  As old friends, Seongjae's behaviour was cold and uncaring given that he knew Jihyeok was broken emotionally. Jihyeok was also the one who endured the school bully's beating just to protect Seongjae from being beaten. 

He knew the financial situation of Jihyeok's family was bad as there was no one holding a stable job. 
NO incoming income but there are 6 family members.  He could have been more empathetic to his old friend for his bad decision on the money-marriage proposal.

After telling him to return to Seoul, he said he was leaving.  Did you notice that he did not ask Jihyeok where he was living or did he have enough money?
Although he did give Jihyeok one million won, shouldn't he talk to Jihyeok about his long-term plans.  If I were Jihyeok, I would have preferred someone to discuss my issues with. 

Even if Jihyeok was stubborn previously, that was then. Jihyeok was currently in a very bad state. One does not give up easily on one's old friend. One will try and try agajn to talk him round.

Seongjae's apartment -
Jihyeok was not in any position to be presumptuous now and asked to live in his company's apartment.  The offer has to come from Seongjae. 

In my opinion, Seongjae is likely to become a villain.  It is just a matter of time.  Hence, Eunoh will not be paired with him.

Like other countries, South Korea has a mandatory retirement age of 60 or older. Jihyeok's father looks over 65.
He did not choose to retire but had to retire. But some companies will 're-hire' them at a lower salary.
His new Advisor job is created just for him by the CEO who is now very sick and cannot help him anymore.

Without his salary, the family has to rely on Jihyeok's salary. At that time, Jiwan has not lost his job yet. But remember the two younger children are not contributing to the family's expenses. I also don't understand why Jihyeok's father is not pressing his daughter to find a stable proper job. He even asked her if she needed allowance after the Advisor job fell through. Absurd, isn't it?

Seonjae has been written as a Blockhead in the last few episodes. The video footage was already in his hands, but Lucia could still snatch it back. It is ludicrous as they weren't standing close and he was facing her too.

Gyeongchae may be kicked out of Mingang as well as the home.

Lucia is on her way to 'swallow the sun' and become Queen Lucia soon.

Incredibly Idiotic!
Seonjae managed to snatch the tablet from Lucia in the elevator but when they stepped out, Lucia could still snatch it back from him easily even when he was facing her. 😳
Seonjae deserves to be thrown under the bus by Gyeongchae.
But Gyeongchae herself will be in the deep end of the pool.

This Writer likes writing repetitive scenes - snatching of the ledger & tablet and Taegyeong saving Lucia REPEATEDLY. She is incapable of taking revenge on her own. 🫤

I was pondering about dropping this drama but now, I am dying to know how Jihyeok overcome his woes and also realise that Seongjae is not a friend.

Yup! 😄  Whoever it was Jihyeok was scolding "Fool", he was so pathetic now as he got punched and misunderstood for using that word.

Joetoca, I don't understand why his mother did not stop him from leaving home.  In fact, not a single family member stopped him from leaving. Sigh!

You got it wrong.  As both of them stood outside the restaurant, Seongjae said to Jihyeok that he was leaving and walked to his car. 
Then Jihyeok started to IMAGINE that Seongjae turned back and persuaded him to return to Seoul.  He was then jolted back to reality and watched in bewilderment as Seongjae drove away.  Jihyeok, with tears brimming in his eyes, then said "He abandoned me." 

So Jihyeok was waiting for Seongjae to persuade him to return to Seoul and he wouldn't resist if Seongjae indeed did that... but Seongjae has other plans for himself and Eunoh.

Seongjae's company apartment -
After Jihyeok resigned, he pretended to go to work and spent the whole day at the cafe.  Then that staff ticked him off for making Eunoh uncomfortable for staying at the cafe for hours.

Now Seongjae did ask him to spend his time at his company's apartment instead of at the cafe.  He could have told Jihyeok to return to Seoul and live at his company's apartment but he did not. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes! Now that Jihyeok is out of the way as well as down and out, Seongjae struck while the iron is hot.
How underhanded is that? Why didn't Seongjae strike the iron when Jihyeok was doing well in his career?
And Seongjae left Jihyeok after he has just been discharged from the hospital.... with 1million won.

A true friend would drag Jihyeok back to Seoul. But Seongjae wanted Jihyeok far away as he pursues Eunoh.

I despise what is going on in Seongjae's mind.

I was remembering how Jihyeok endured beatings, from the school bully, just to protect Seongjae when they were teenagers.

I thought Jihyeok was scolding Seongjae.

I do not support Jihyeok's marrying for money but I can understand his reason for doing so.

There is NO incoming income from any one in the family despite two healthy and educated younger brother and sister. There are 6 family members including Jihyeok. Jihyeok is the eldest son and the eldest child always bears the heaviest burden in their culture.

Jihyeok is tired of worrying about finances all this life and watching his father struggled not only to support his family but support and care for his sick elderly parents too.

He resigned at the wrong time too, right before finding out his father did not have the Advisor job at his previous company.

When Boah offered him the marriage proposal, he thought that it was an easy way out of all the problems he was facing then. He accepted Boah's marriage proposal and thought that it was a great deal as he no longer has to contend with bullies in the company. He is the Son-In -Law who will become the Chairman.

If Boah's friend did not spot her ex-bf in Melbourne, then Jihyeok will indeed be on the way to becoming the Chairman of Haneul Construction.

I reserve my judgement of Jihyeok because I am not in his situation.

I thought Seongjae would drag him back to Seoul.  The last couple of seconds of episode 6 explains the reason he abandoned Jihyeok.

I am puzzled why Jihyeok's mother did not object to her husband's kicking Jihyeok out of the house.  Kdrama mothers would usually kick a big fuss and cry and hug the legs of the leaving son.

There is no 2FL so Jihyeok will still be alone after he got over this rough patch. How many more weeks of watching a wasted Jihyeok?
