acowen3, I suddenly have a light bulb moment that 8 years ago, Mujin's mum & sister offered Gyurim money to resolve her father's debts.  But she had to sign a contract that she would never ever make contact with Mujin. 
If she broke the contract, she would have to pay back double or triple the money which was given to her.
It always boils down to 💰.
How is that? 😁

Gyurim is overly sweet, kind and generous. Such people oftentimes do not know where to draw the line. That's why the other partner/spouse must be the opposite character. I don't mean being unkind is good but be kind and also assertive, draw the line clearly and scold others for crossing the line.

Initially, I was worried that LOTM might be too frustrating & exhausting to watch.
But I am enjoying LOTM now despite the annoying characters.

I don't think Mujin's mum is interested in Gyeol because Gyurim is not well-educated and not from a wealthy family. His mother looks down on others. Her mentality is that wealth equals to good breeding and good education.

Pride and Prejudice fills her brain and heart to the brim.

I hope pleeease that Mujin would do the DNA test without Gyurim's permission. He had a second meal with Gyeol so just take his used cup or cut off a short strand of Gyeol's hair secretly.

I am not very certain that Mujin's mum will want to take Gyeol from Gyurim - assuming Gyeol = Mujin's son.
Why? Because his haughty chaebol mum despises Gyurim that she is low class, therefore, Gyeol is not of full high class breeding in her haughty eyes. I will not put it past her to have such mentality.

If she were, she would look at him longer.... secretly.  Thus far, Gyuyeong is not Gyeol's mother but Gyurim.

I agree that it was wrong of Mujin to get Gyeol to meet him without the mother's permission.
But it was Gyuseo who asked Gyurim the whereabouts of Gyeol.
This showed that Gyurim was not focused on her 8-year-old because she has too much on her plate.

Yes, after taping her conversation with Mujin's sister and giving it to her to let Mujin hear it, she could not face him.  That's why she should not have done it this way. 

But she could still explain to Mujin her reason for doing it.  If he did not believe her, she has done her best. 
It is so wrong not to allow father and son to acknowledge each other.

I found it incredible that there is only a one-year age gap between actors Mujin and Heungsik.  Heungsik actor must be in the sun frequently.   Excessive sun exposure does cause premature ageing of the skin.

Mujin's sister said to her mum that Gyurim is a decent woman and that they had "gone too far".  What did mother and daughter do to Gyurim 8 years ago? 

Gyuoh could have worked at a minimart or supermarket or bus driver but I guess Gyuoh wanted to earn quick and big bucks the easy way.  No, no, I have no idea if it is an easy job. 🤭😆

Her priority should be her precious Gyeol who is only 8.

Just move out with her son.

I tried to see Gyurim's way of dealing with her issues.
Now that she has run into Mujin, what's wrong with informing him that Gyeol is his son?
Simply do a DNA test for proof.
Explain her extreme financial difficulties at that time.

This trio can become a family now but I know this will only happen in episode 50. 😆
