Probably to avoid YQ choosing his own consort and falling in love. The arranged marriage is still with someone the heavenly emperor chose plus, he forced the mortal emperor to discipline the princess to his liking.
I doubt it too! Probably just severely injure him or maybe right when she turns her back on him to let him go, he tries another cowardly blow at her just like he did to YQ and her sword has no way but to pierce through him. That way, YQ can't blame her.

HS still appears shady. However, that's the irony, YT will never turn evil no matter how much turbid souls she sucks. She's had a whole life of training. If she was to go evil, it would've happened a long time ago. The heavenly emperor had the best luck and yet he's so evil.
This amnesia plot makes sense though because of the mortal arc with the shards. In the preview, it was so sweet when YeTan said that and said all of her names to him just like when he said his during the love confession. Telling y'all, these writers are PROS!
