yeah I think the editing hasn't been that good since day 1
Yeah, they took out 4 episodes and that's just what we know...so maybe they took out some important scenes, so some places feels disconnected such as when WS and XQ were sending off Xiao Ci, it feels like there was more to WS taking XQ on a horse ride but it was cut short.

I don't think the writer forgot. It's very there but not via war or fights or anything. We've been watching Xiao Qiao break the barriers and misunderstandings between the families in the past 27 episodes in her eloquent ways.
