I haven’t heard them calling each other Furen/Fujun again after that one episode (I forgot which one). That’s…
Manman called Wei Shao "Fujun" two more times in the later episodes but he wasn't there. 😂 Once more when she was plotting to win the 20,000 soldiers at the river bank and asked him to wait for her to fulfill her promise and second, when she placed the paper boats in the river asking for her husband to be safe. But yes, pity, they didn't have many sweet or skin ship scenes although the love scenes were unbeatable.
On my rewatch and still confused about one thing… Wei Shao’s older brother Bogong was supposedly in love with…
Vengo, the actor, who played Wei Bao/Bo Gong is a pretty well known actor himself, so age wasn't the most important factor for casting such a small cameo role. It was an honor to have him take time out of his schedule to be featured. He may have done it for the director or cast member as a favor. But yes, I do agree with you but it's so small, it's not enough to derail the story. 😂
The Prisoner of Beauty also won The Film and Tourism Trendsetting Award at the 11th Wenrong Annual Awards/ The Hengdian Film and TV Festival. This isn't a popularity award, so there's weight.
There was absolutely no chemistry in here. These short drama actors/actresses do intimate scenes in EVERY single short drama that they no longer have chemistry with anyone. Kissing scenes mean nothing to them now and that's sad.
