In my opinion, Hua Shu never really loved anyone. She wanted power for herself and her clan. She had this delusion…
Yeppp, Hua Shu played victim and caused her own demise. I'm still so in love with this drama, always finding something new to talk about as I rewatch it.

Haha, yeah..very tempting, indeed. I want a true god Yuan Qi, too.

I like it that they didn't have Hua Shu be crazily in love with Yuan Qi. Having one love triangle for A Yin is…
I love those concepts. Sometimes, it takes dying and rebirth like the phoenix to gain wisdom. That's probably why all of these dramas have been centered around those story lines of the leads dying and becoming someone else to correct their mistakes.

Yuan Qi losing his temper with Hua Shu and telling her that he knew what she did was a beautiful sight to behold.…
That scene replays in my head, rent free. I just love WAY's acting and his calm yet assertive voice in that scene. He didn't overreact, but instead, projected all the emotions through his eyes.

I agree. I think she loved herself, her family, and her clan above all but she hated A Yin in particular not because of anything because they made it obvious that Hua Shu was the most beautiful, intelligent, highly respected, high powered, beauty in all realms while A Yin's life didn't matter at all, lowly birth, everyone wanted to kill for her core, can't live long, can't cultivate to become anything big, never mentioned that she was pretty, weak, bullied, unwanted like when she was trying to write down the names of eligible bachelors, they all snubbed her, they killed her and made her the scapegoat to cover their crimes and yet over a thousand years later, never had any remorse, but like you said, A Yin was above her in one thing, A Jin, who turned out to be a true god. Yuan Qi, the true god who DID EVERYTHING for a passerby like A Yin, elevated her value in every way possible, remained faithful, loyal, devoted, one-hearted for her, someone who was so undeserving and on top of that, dead. Yuan Qi couldn't move on for over a thousand years and may never, protected her when she was alive and still protecting her to rid her of the crimes they accused her of. It didn't matter how ugly they tried to make A Yin, Yuan Qi just loved her through and through, that totally irked Hua Shu. If Yuan Qi had shown Hua Shu a bit more kindness or pardoned her sins like Lan Feng, she's done. Lol

Like the girl just really hated A Yin...wanted to hurt and kill her at every given opportunity. Her last words to A Yin was, I'm no longer jealous because I, too, have someone who gave up everything for me and considered me as most important, somewhere along those lines, so doesn't that just reflect Yuan Qi who did all of that for over a thousand years for A Yin? I mean, sure, they added some lines of Hua Shu being jealous of Feng Yin's background and talent but girls hate girls mainly for one thing. Haha. That's why Hua Shu was still butt hurt when Yuan Qi rejected her invitation to the birthday party she was hosting him? I dunno. I feel like she probably didn't love Gu Jin or Yuan Qi but she definitely wasn't admitting that she had some feelings for him. It wasn't just all about power. She doesn't seem to be that type, being all high maintenance, to throw herself at a guy she dislikes.

Not sure what you mean but perhaps you meant she wanted** to marry him a few times? Because she never did marry…
Sorry, I fixed it to "consider" marrying him. Although she expressed that she didn't like Yuan Qi but she wasn't against the idea of marrying him whenever her father brought it up versus that one time her father proposed that she marry that other guy from something sea, too.

I agree. I don't see anything wrong with a SFL liking the ML either if the story is well written and not for the sake of just adding more drama. 😂

Actually, if you've watched Episode 15, at the beginning, A Jiu already gave up on pursuing A Yin romantically.…
Watch the entire drama first, let A Jiu show his side. 😙 A Jiu has never done anything that obsessive to show us that he's deeply in love with A Yin. Yes, he adores her, but he has never played the serious third party or gotten in the way of A Jin and A Yin; just from that, one can deduce that the relationship between A Jiu and A Yin are so much more than just romantic feelings. They're super awesome friends. A Jiu has risked his life to save everyone at one point, not just A Yin.

It's harder for A Jiu to realize his feelings for Yan Shuang because for one, he and Yan Shuang are always at odds, two, A Yin was their connecting link but after she passed, they remained sort of awkward but good friends, three, Yan Shuang was there when A Jiu liked A Yin, so it's not a smooth transition from one friend to another especially when one has passed on knowing how much they both value A Yin's feelings, four, they're both stubborn and have the worst assumptions, five, A Jiu still has a lot of guilt from A Yin in his heart, so he's not ready to even begin realizing anything for anyone. Yan Shuang doesn't see anything; she's just assuming. Sometimes, people realize their feelings a bit late when things change and that's okay.

I think if we see A Jiu mourning for A Yin for over a thousand years but had no part in her death, then yes, I'd say, he truly loves her just like Yuan Qi. But no, A Jiu killed when A Yin released him to find out the truth which led to her taking responsibility for his actions with her life. It was Yuan Qi who searched all three realms and nine levels, made so many sacrifices in between, all for A Yin. He's the one who can't live without A Yin. They make it pretty clear how both men handle the loss of A Yin. The story is really good at showing that it's not guilt that Yuan Qi is still searching for A Yin. It's true love. All his actions from Episodes 2 to 40 shows that. A Jiu may be friends with Yan Shuang but how can a man mourning for his wife like you said keep another female next to him like that, just the two of them alone in that cottage for over a thousand years? Yuan Qi was busy proactively searing for A Yin all alone, waited for her in Youming realm the entire time hoping to not miss her. And I love the parallels again in here when A Yin meets with Wu Gui in Episode 29. In that convo, A Yin assumes that Yuan Qi doesn't truly love A Yin and has been holding on because of guilt. That's the exact opposite of Yuan Qi and the exact sentiments of A Jiu, as he explains later.

Anyway, if you still feel like A Jiu is settling for Yan Shuang after watching the entire drama, then I respect your take. We're all going to see different things. 😉

So I was wondering...I'm not sure about the novel but from the drama, I'm going to say, although Hua Shu denies liking Gu Jin/Yuan Qi, I feel as if she does like him. She surely likes him enough to consider marrying him a few times. He's the only one she wants to "use" constantly. She's so possessive of him. Actually, she ends up hating A Yin so much because of him. She's so jealous over him. She was never purely in love with just Lan Feng. In the end, she was able to let Yuan Qi go because she realized no one loved her as much as Lan Feng. But I'm sure that if Yuan Qi had agreed to marry her and treated her nicely, she'd forget Lan Feng in a heartbeat. 😂 That's just my take.

I'm on episode 28, and i had high hopes Ajiu and Yan Shuang would be together because i see from early on that…
I like it that they didn't have Hua Shu be crazily in love with Yuan Qi. Having one love triangle for A Yin is enough, no need for any on the Yuan Qi's side, too. It's a waste of time and not necessary to move the plot along or bring more value to Yuan Qi. Even if it's only A Yin who loves Yuan Qi in the world, Yuan Qi is the most precious ML ever.

Actually, if you've watched Episode 15, at the beginning, A Jiu already gave up on pursuing A Yin romantically. He knows A Yin will only ever love A Jin, so he'll just keep her company as a friend. Everything from that point onwards, the care and love he gives A Yin is that of a true friend. He feels guilt, regret, and in debt to A Yin for over a thousand years because in a way, she saved him but he was one of the causes of her death. It's not love and he'll explain a bit of that later on, too. Don't give up hope on these two yet. A Jiu is VERY slow to his feelings for Yan Shuang because it's a slow but steady type of love from friends to lovers. I've always been cheering Yan Shuang on! She deserves her A Jiu, her happiness. She's soooo awesome!

I believe Yuan Qi when he said he wouldn't have let Hua Shu lived if it wasn't for Lan Feng's sake because our boy here killed Qing Lin. He didn't even care to imprison her anymore for causing A Yin's death, he straight out killed her. He wasn't even going to risk bargaining to find out who her spies were. He was like, "You're DONE!"

Just finished watching this drama, and it's so good. I'm quite happy i watched it at this time, so i won't have…
Yuppp, that's a review. Post it so your thoughts on the drama doesn't get lost with the comments.

Yup, those are all the characters I enjoyed too. Ming Qi was so badass in a calming way. He messed with people's minds versus physically.

Xiu Yan and Ao Ge's story was soooo touching.

And Yuan Qi...can't praise him enough. People are so used to overreacting faces that they call WAY's acting through the eyes weak. 😂

I know things have to go a certain way to progress the story, but these immortals are so dumb. One moment, they're…
After watching quite a few xianxias, immortals and even true gods aren't perfect, all powerful, or know everything. If that was the case, there'd be no story and that's all of them, not just this drama. Immortals and gods are just like humans. They're basic thinkers, selfish, evil, greedy, prideful, hateful, and scheming but the only differences are, they live longer and have powers which means they can hide better, do more evil, and manipulate the situation or people easier.

Hong Ruo went undetected for so long because Qing Lin secluded herself after the possession. Lin Mo hadn't been close to Hong Ruo in hundreds of years and Hong Yi never cared to know his aunt, so even if they suspected something, it was hard to say.

I can some tell me why it has low rating . I am a huge fan of Luis . Should I watch the drama ?is it worth it?
Don't trust the ratings but trust ZLS if you're her fan. She believes she and WAY are perfect for the roles. There must be a good reason she chose this project whether you can see it now or maybe agree with her years later, give it a try at least. Ratings are just numbers in the end, don't follow the trend and set your own opinions. I wouldn't have watched it and enjoyed it this much if I listened to some really close friends who didn't like it. Everyone is different.🥰

I'm so happy for TLI and ZLS for reaching new and awesome heights, a bit sad for WAY that he's not getting as much love when I can't imagine anyone else but him as YQ but it's all good. He's gotten really good exposure from this project and the depth that he gave YQ was very memorable. He knew he'd be hated in for such a role. 😂🥲 I LOVE and appreciate ZLS and WAY's friendship. In a way, I'm glad there's no heavy CP or else it'll become more toxic than this and then they'll never want to work together again or be weird in public events. 😅 I want them to be friends for a long time, sort of like this drama, slowly but surely move towards romance later on when they're ready. Hahahha! ❤️

1. with better CGI for several scene 2. take it with a grain of salt: they give them a hug scene for the ending
Netflix is my sign that this drama is doing even better than I thought. 🥳

So proud!
