Action, intrigue and so much more.. Another must C-drama for 2021 doesn't disappoint

This is an amazing drama and kudos goes to the Cast A+++, crew, set design, clothes and the storyline must have been fun sitting around the table discussing it. Another great C-drama for 2021. The chemistry between ML/FL is so on point the FL girl chu chu is so cute, smart, and funny in the innocent way. The ML Prince An(Xiao jinyu) has this stern confident look and is very smart and able to solve crimes. Then chu chu enters his life as a coroner for the better and as the two work side by side and solve crime of murder a romance slowly begins. Then we have the 2nd ML Lord Jing Yi who cute, smart and quit amusing thur out the drama. He is lifetime friends with Prince An, Xiao jin li and Leng Yue(they like each other) The 2nd FL is the granddaughter of Military commissioner of Qianzhou Leng Pei shan and travels around as doesn't talk to GF since childhood. Then we have prince an twin brother Xiao jinli who is a commander of war and always willing to help.
So i binged this drama over 3 days and still wanted more as i was sad not to see this cast. The storyline was like a rollercoaster of whos good whos bad and kept your attention at all time. It had alot of murder, rebellion past and present and officials against the Eunuchs. There is always a hateful villain this time Eunuch Qin luan who worked for Emperor Xuanzong and was in control of the Shense army with General Zhou. Since he also worked for the past 2 emperor he built alot of control within the court, officials and military personnel and wanted to get rid of those who opposed. He was given a edict from Emperor Wenzong to bring the army and help Prince consort Xiao heng and military commissioners Chen ling to fight the rebals. When he arrives he announces the edicts stating that Xiaoheng and Chenling are rebelling and to kill everyone including families. Chenling pushes Xiaoheng to gets away and prove there innocents, but is stabbed in the leg and falls off a cliff and presumed dead by all. They start killing all family members including Vice General Yun yi(worked for chenling)but his pregnant wife escapes to her brothers Xu Zhongfan house for help, but instead his butler Han kills her. They call in the coroner Chu ping and state she committed suicide so he brings the dead body back and realizes she pregnant and delivers a baby girl. He discusses with his father and son and they agree to hide and raise her as there own Chu Chu in a coroner family. Around the time she was 8-10yo she meets the witch doctors who tells her stories about a good looking? person who guards the six gates. He tells her how he solved hard crimes/murders and then gives her a black rock pendant to keep and tells her to keep him a secret and only tells the good looking? She grown up and wants to apply for the coroner position in the capital Chang'an. Upon entering the capital she meets Lord Jing Yi while solving a scam artist fake an injury and while impressed he gives her his token to take the test(he knows they would deny a female). She takes all the test where prince an is watching as he listen to her answers they sound like his father. So now he has to figure out who she really is and why she knew this info. She trys to explain that back home in Qianzhou the witch doctor told her and she shows him the book after a while with the pendant. Now there adventure takes them to solve many crimes, murder and even attempts on their lives as they slowly open pandora box on the past rebellion. I am amazed while watching this drama and how it has so many side stories and people's that makes it such a mystery straight thru to the end who is good and whos bad. I was writing a small ledger in order to keep track.
A must see. A+++ 10++++

A powerful drama that has sucked you in till the very end.

Also known: Dream of chang'an. FYI
Up to ep 36 I originally thought of giving this up at first as all i could think was 49ep ouch and was i so wrong before you know it i was addicted and looking at different site for more episodes.
The ML/FL & 2 ML/FL are all kicking ass and doing an amazing job and this time a villian who you definitely hate in every sense of the word the rest of the cast which is A lot are also doing a believable job. The costumes, carriages and set are great in my options.

This storyline start with the plannings of the Morning Dew Rebellion 8yrs ago when the Emperor Qi Ang was in pain & wanted to take back his power from the eunuch fraction who was getting to big & powerful.

Warlords LiXu & Zheng Lu took the Dew Code and Gen'l Han Yue lured QZL to Zuo Zhenhen yard to kill him, but failed since QZL knew and already killed both of them/familiy Gen'l Han went to the palace to report to emperor and so he made a secret imperial edict (to make prince Guang emperor? ) and told him to give to Prime Minister Wang.

As he arrived the servants were telling him and his Granddaughters Ruoqing and Ruoling to leave and gave him the edict and sent them out thru underground tunnel and while trying to hold off QZL/QiYan/Shencai army he got an arror thru the eye presumed dead. By the time the wangs got out they were waiting for them and QZL shot PM yang wang in the back and QiYan shot both girls in the back.

Later Qi yan goes back to the dead grave and looks for the 3 girls he find zheng wu and send her out, he then finds Gen'l han and gives him to prince guang to fix and prince Guang finds Ruoling but not ruoqing. We learn that the yi Yan practiced to hit between ribs and not the heart in order for them to live.

The emperor Sadly lost the last of his power/control of court and officials to become a powerless puppet who was controlled by Qiu Zi Liang(QZL) for the next 8yrs. The official were either in coercion with QZL or coerced into following him or be killed.

So of course you dislike the ML, but later you also feel a little sorry for him with the pressures of secrets given by his brother before dying(suicide/QZL murdered by fish) He also spoke to Teacher Wang and made him a promise to try and save him & his 2 granddaughters, but QZL got to the arrow.

It was and is still a little confusing to me as Qiu Zi liang is an eunuch who got power from the last emporer to the point he was running the courts and the new emperor is more or less a puppet also. Why hasn't anyone's tried to kill or poisen him there were many occasions. Why he didn't make himself the emperor?
This review could go on and on from me so will stop as there are so many twist and turns like a rollercoaster of stories and events and gruesome killing.
Now up to ep 46 and only 3 to go and its sad and cruel that Ruo qing doesn't tell yu'er she's her sister. Does she really believe yu're will never find out.
Just finished and WOW the ending was completely not what i expected, but ended well. You never know who's good and who's bad umtil the end. Its worth the watch

A hidden jem thats refreshing

Truly loved it from beginning to end. For an 8ep drama they completed the story. Japan is definitely putting out more and more great dramas to add to my favorite list. Besides being a really good looking cast they did an amazing job and look forwards to seeing them in other drama/movies.
I liked Keigo who is a model whom acts and treated everyone equal and wasnt shy about his good look in a fun way. Then Yuri is a model whom spoiled rotten and needs the attention of her looks always making fun of other and would hurt what she couldn't have. Then we have the shy, timid but fun Manaha who is always willing to help others and attracts Keigo and Sor attention. Now Yuri gets jealous and will use the beauty pagent in order to try and embarrass keigo on stage. On the day of the pagent Manaha runs into Sora the new kid who hates the pagent, but is quiet, nice and cute will become friends and rivals for Manaha. We also have Himar who is manaha best friend and bubbly, but after the accident she betrays her. Then Hayata is keigo BF who talkative, friendly and like himari. Then the quiet, shy non talkative nagisa that manaha is always nice too, but hurts her by mistake at the pagent.
Cant forget Kyoto and her side kick who some times i think worse than yuri. This is there story of friendship, jeousley, bullying, truth, Deming, backstabbing and forgiveness. On the day of the pagent everyones ready to go out when Manaha see the light falling she pushes yuri out of the way and is injured. She wakes up in the hosp. her head bandaged and once home overheard that her scar could take years to heal. She freaks out at how big/ugly it is and hids in her house for a month. Now the story goes on sora saving her, then kiego saving her, the truth of the accident comes out. New romance come into play. A really great drama much more than ive written. Looking forward to the next 2 shows :BC graduation addition

Getting better love how they interact with S1&S2

I enjoyed 1st & 2nd season of this fantasy realm that once again you feel a sense of comfort in season 3. This one starts different when a boy Son ji woon walks off bus#b23 and start toward the Cafe. Now you see him looking for his mom Na Yeon-hee who after an accident develops a type of dementia/alzheimer who is looking for a coffee shop she went to with Kyung sun in there HS day. Now Sun-min tells jiwoo she leaving for Seoul in 3days and asked him to come or tell her to stay when they sit on a bench and find the map to Cafe Midnight. Ji woo sees his mom but looses her and then a bus stops he gets on the next stop his mom gets on and gives the driver food then she gets off and ji woo follows. She turn RT and he goes LF as per the map and finds the cafe and enter it sun min works there and sneaks out since jun-gi is coming. He meets Lee Dae-chul whos waiting on a girl to show up and make a bet with ji woo for the next nite.
The next day his mom forgot to turn off the stove so he reminds and goes to school and on the way home he asked sin-min about working since she leaving the next day and she denies it. So then he stops at moms job and she tells him she has a date and he ask about her brooch. Now on the bus to Cafe and inside the Cafe sun min teaches him how to make an Einspanner coffe and ask that its been 2yrs why doesn't he recognize me. Ji woo enter the cafe and jun-gi is working then Master gives him a coffee and tell him to drink it slow by levels. Lee Dae chul shows up stating his date came and hes meeting her to give her the brooch(he saw his mom wear it earlier) and leaves. The next day is Sin-mim last day to leave for seoul and as he brings her home to spends time and teacher her to make Einspanner and)tries to tell her he likes her and promises to see her before she leaves. That night on his way to the cafe he noticed the bus drivers name and constellation key ring as he walks to the cafe(inside yeon-hee and kyung-sun writing note for Dae chul she leaving for seoul and gives him key ring) as he enters and passes the girls saying Yeon-hee and then see the note w key ring. Things are starting to come together then he see Sin-mim in front of him and wonder why. She should be home packing for seoul, but why does she have makeup on & changed and she see him in the clothes from 2yrs ago when they realize hes in HS still. She ask why he didnt come to see her off that she call a few times and then block him. So they ask Master can they change the future and how will that effect the past he says if its ment to be it will happen they agree hell stop her. So he wakes the next morning and he tells his mom its ok to date and as he gets up go to stop Sin-min from going, but his mom collapses and he dropped his phone and wasnt able to stop her. He goes to cafe and she leaves a note again (end of S2) and master stated that it might be wrong timing and he agrees that why he probably didnt contact her after 2 yrs. Next we see his mom get on the bus and remembers Dae chul Oppa and key ring as they smile in memories. We see ji woo trying to call and leave messages that he coming to fimd her and back at the cafe the Master get a box and send out 2 invitations. Will there be S4
The end? Pay attention to all small details and it will all come into play.

Another enjoyable season

I enjoyed this 2nd season of this fantasy realm that once you walk in you feel a sense of comfort. When you hit bottom that makes you so stressed and need a break from life everyday routine. You receive a mysterious text message invites you to stay at "Sky garden guest house" B23. While trying to follow directions you stop at Cafe Midnight thats runned by the Master and can only enter thru an invite. Once inside you open up to whats bothering you while you slowly figure out and meet the past experiences of what stresses you, family relationships, and short comings of friendship and new love.
It took me a little while to understand.

A different type of mystical fantasy

I wasn't to sure about watching, but realized it's only 2ep and so I watched and I'm glad I did. To me It's a magical place you can only be invited to with past, present and future meetings. Jae young is down on himself as the girl he's like for 3years wants nothing to do with him and he gets fired. While trying to find a job hes given a offer to work for "Cafe midnight" which is only open at midnight and you cant find during the day once inside if he leaves he can't come back. He decided to stay and upon working he meets na yeon from the past who doesn't know him and a girl who states she is he ex-gf in the future, he also meets his dad who he had unresolved issues with. We also watch a military man who tells he girl not to wait and so she finally leaves then he shows up 5yrs later and he's to late. Starting season 2 then season 3 also on viki. Hope you enjoy this adventure.

A Love story with all the bells and whistles

Another great historical drama with beautiful sets, clothes and design. The cast was exceptional so many cute faces especially the 4 side kick expressions. The ML/FL there chemistry was off the chart and Nan Nan played by Zhang zi Han was so cute and for 10yo he did a awesome job and has been in some great dramas. This Drama has a great storyline filled with Amenia-happening more than once and how true love conquering all. There was an attempted murder/rape on Qing Luo by her husband who was just using her and family to get power and promotions since wasn't rape, but instead rescued by someone. She then went back to her room to be overcome by aphrodisiac incense burning next someone also given an aphrodisiac stumble into her room and he gets her pregnant and her hubby goes to divorced for her adultery, but instead claimed she committed suicide. She is rescued/found by Jin Liu li who takes her in with amnesia and help her deliver the baby boy Nan nan. Now 7 years she has recovered her memory except who's the baby father is she becomes known as the Ghost Doctor in search of him and stays anonymous no one has scene her face. During her adventious journey she meets and helps many people with good and bad intentions. She meets Prince Ye xiu du and they both feel an attraction as they help each other unravel many secrets and scandal and amenia again. It has many funny scenes especially with the added sounds effects, we watch true love that's lost and found. There are no boring part in any scenes and could watch again.

This funny and querky drama and Cast did a great job especially Li nuo playing twin sisters. This was about twin sisters that are raised separately due to parents are divorced. Mom raised yueyue to be caring, responsible, to work hard for what you want and to be herself. While dad raised Siya to be driven for money and power to take over business. In order to sell/merge his company into W&S he makes a marriage arrangement for Siya and Wen jun Chen, but the problem is siya in love with his brother Wen Liang ye whos grandfather doesn't agree for them to be together. She must marry jun Chen and so they(liangye/Siya) make a plan and she disappeares just before the wedding. So there dad drags/tricks yueyue into playing Siya and marrying jun chen until they can find Siya. Well on the wedding day the groom is late and the bride decides to run and is caught by the groom, but doesn't know it as she thinks she's marring an older man. This is there story and journey with many twist and turn, laugher, a little crying and more. Can they solve everything that's sent there way... Well find out. Will we get a happy👍🏻 well worth the watch

A must watch

I watched the drama(prequel) about how they met when they were 17 in fujisawa and thru this found live. A few years pass and they are graduating college when nagisa breaks Shun hearts and tells him theirs no future. Nagisa get married as told and has a daughter. Shun disappears and is happy in the countryside until nagisa shows up with his 6yo daughter sora and tells Shun he's sorry and misses him. Shun at first doesn't except him as he was hurt really bad, but nagisa tries to reconnect with him and asks his wife for a divorce and takes sora with him. Then slowly trouble begins as his wife shows up trying to take there dtr by force and in court as she fights for custody, they show that sora wants to stay with her dad and Shun. While growing up sora didn't feel any different of not having a mom, but that that people couldn't understand they love the saw way. All these countries need to open up there eyes and see we are all different but are also all human. This drama/movie gives a beautiful story about acceptence, forgiveness and how society can slowly adjust. A must see

An amazing new storyline. A must see for all. Top 10 of 2021

If you read the details it's wrong, some part are ok but with different characters. I binged watch this drama in 3.5days.and I'm sorry to see it end. For me this is definitely a different type of storyline that has so many type of mixed views and emotions. The cast lineup is Amazing and they are doing a great job also the crew in clothing styles were 10+, the set and locations 10+, special effects 10+++, and music 10+. Overall this is a 10+++++.
It start as a girl born as a 5yo mutated rattan(branches of tree) named Si feng she was part of the alien group Yifan who have powers of nature, but was raised and torture by a Qiu shan who later will kill her. This story begins back in the 1900 when Shao Yan Kuan falls in love sifeng, but she doesn't like him back and has an internal fight with herself and splits into two with bai ling the other half who in love with Shao yan Kuan. While bai Ling suffer at him calling her sifeng she decides to murder her sister and then tells Qin laifu to bury her sister in Dana and relocate and watch over the body for next 8 decades. What happens next is over a 9yr span. Bai Ling marry him and tells him to call her bai Ling and he says OK and he agrees to marry her only. A few years later he takes in another wife and he tell her that she not the same sifeng he loved and so she snaps and murders his wife on the wedding day and he call her a monster and locks her up. During a stressful time gets pregnant and he starts to act funny so she follows him and finds out that he is working with Qiu shan and making a plan to kill her and baby. So she starts to lose it and makes plan/map for her sister and herself where the body/bones are. Just after she gives birth they are burning her and she tells them they'll be back for revenge. So many other are happening I can't write them all(lol). Now 2020 and some are alive and some dead the Qin family followed and now it's Qin Fang's turn to go to Dana. He goes there with a friend and starts to look for this person, but at the same time the girl with him Anman is a fraud she with him for money and looking for the 8 corner blue ball or something when he ex Qui shen shows up she drugs Qin fang and goes to see ex who attacks her for spending his money then she accidentally stabs him. She runs and gets Qin fang into truck and is now chased by the 2goons of her ex. They cause an accident and take her hostage and sends truck down the mountain where he gets impaled on the tree trunk and his blood mixing with a green substance going into the ground. Then all of a sudden the tree vines are spinning and a beautiful girl starts to appears and he get tossed off and healed and she appears as Sifeng and trys to make him her servent. Now we get into all the good and bad struggles for right and wrong, love, jeousley or hate and great adventure. There are 2 different endings both are good in there own way.

A wonderful story of life love, trust A Must See

Wow what a great drama and amazing cast it was full of excitement. The chemistry between the ML-FL was full of excitement during there journey and it was also good for both of the 2nd Co-leads. They first meet when Mi Ka is held hostage in a jewelry heist with a bomb in her hand. Then the brave and cute swat leader Xing KeLie comes to her rescue and talks her out of the store to rescue. She only see his eyes and never gets his name.. She sends him a thank you note with a Keychain teddy Bear cop which he keeps in his draw. Now 2 years later while working in the hosp as a intern in the dept of Neurology as a neurosurgeon and she and her friend are being sent with a group from the hosp to do a military boot camp. Once there she gets in trouble with Lt. Shu in tern he tells Cpt. Xing who once he Meets her remembers the past immediately, but trying to be nice when she brakes the rule 2x and is about to be kicked out she gets the ok to stay, but will not pass the test for high jumping. That night they go out for a drive and come upon an accident and the truck drivers is stuck and the cab hangs off a cliff, but she needs to help him asap. So capt. Xing secures the truck and as she climb over to the cab she slips and falls of course he catches her. Finally she gets into the cab and saves the patient and she uses her shirt to cover his head inj. The next day she goes back to the hospital and the roomer is she didn't pass and she doesn't care she was there to learn and she did. A few day's later he gives her a bag and inside is t-shirt and her certificate of passing due to saving the guy. Now this is the start of there adventures as there is an earthquake and she volunteered to go with hosp. and he goes with Swat team. Her best friend is a reporter Qing Xie and she has a crush on Lt. Shu and she even. Pursues him there, but he also gets to see the generous side of her then we also have Fu yang who has a crush on her there also delivering supplies. Then we have Dr. Shao and Xing ke(cpt sister) who have a past and won't admit they Still care for each other. During this time there are men stuck in the Mines and so he goes in and they all work together to get them out, but one needs a Dr. Asap so of course Dr. MI goes in and help the pt. as they leave she forgets something he follows and another quake hit and they are stuck so while looking to get out they found emergency kit with water food oxygen.. As they. Look all exits are covered and then boom another quake hit and he stuck. and they oxygen running out and they both pass out. Yeah rescue show up and they are save,. They help and meet wonderful people during this time, then everyone is sent home except for Swat who willl help with the cleaning and safety.. This is to give you an idea of the crazy adventures a Doctor and Swat Captain goes thru saving each other lives and those unknown. The relationship between dr. Shao and xing ke will they finally get together? What about Qing Xie and Lt. Shu and Lufang who makes 3?
The story continues to tells how others preseive them and when yanshan jeousley kicks in and destroy her own career or when others players(shen sister) start rumors that cause problems. This is full of so much more. A Must Watch

A refreshing spin on parallel universes thru the eyes of a book writer. A MUST SEE

loved it, it was a refreshing new outtake on a Chinese drama including time travel. The cast, writers, crew, the stage, clothes were by far exceeded my imagination. It was an amazing drama that you felt the characters emotions you laugh, cried were happy & sad, rejoiced when bad guy died, cried when the good guy died. Tells of true friendship, love, betrayal and jealously.
It start as a book writer is told to change his thinking and finish what he's working on and start on a comedy. So as he's writing the ending" Jiang haochen is betrayed by his business partner Tang ming yuan and hit in the head laying in blood. The End" but Jiang raises his head and says is this the ending you want so he changes it. He rewind the story to a parallel universe showing both Jiang and Ning li both being hit in head at the same time. Upon the story being rewritten Jiang wakes up and he has travels back in time into the body of a runaway husband name Ning li who is a marital husband (one that doesn't come from a prestious family) and doesn't want it. Now he has to figure out who Ning liheng is and why did someone want him dead. He also know that his marriage is to the Su family daughter and since he hurt his head he can play he amenia. Since he remember his past life, he bring futuristic idea into his time of Wu dynasty and makes a contract with his wife that he helps her get the family clothing seal and she'll divorce him. Well as time goes on between betrayal from family, rival stores, attempt murder and more there relationship begins to blossom. She finally get the seal, but her uncle/cousin keep sabotaged her plans. So ning li steps in and makes them loose and others loose everything. He is a great business man with plenty of ideas. They realize they fell in love and go thur so many trials and errors together that there bond is unbreakable. They work together to help recover Lil ian from the bad bandits and also help bados bandits get out safely and to not fight back/rescue there Master. The story continues as he has been helping the secret investigation department solve the problems of wu dynasty getting back the 6 states of Ling. He helps implement a peace treaty with king of jiang and will give back to wu dynasty and it will open up fair trading between all states and have to leave the CP as a prisoner for 5yrs in good faith. 1yr later General dong reports that bandits are attacking transport Caravan and hiding in Jiang and some business in town are putting out fake pottery and selling as real. Next thing we see is back in Jiang the king is telling the prince his family will not come for him and to call the king father. Then you see him discussing how they will destroy Wu dynasty with Chancellor Gu aka Tang min yuan T. B. C Season. 2.This is a definite must see drama 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻The writers is the character of Ning liheng👀
