Currently on ep 32 and I can't get enough of SYS amnesia era!! His tsundere grumpy side is everything ><
And honestly, props to the team and cast because usually I HATE amnesia tropes. But here, it was done so well and completely blended in! It was Ranran’s turn to yearn for him, to have him in front of her and be the only one with their memories, and to try everything in her abilities to get him back.I love angst and couples having parallels!
Since Express will be dropping later today or tomorrow I plan to stop here and watch the last 8 eps together!

Btw here is a clip showing a compilation of the special effects used in the drama by their CGI team I found on X! Honestly this drama had some of the best CGI I have seen in a Xianxia and it's obvious that majority of the A rank budget for this drama went on it!

This drama has great CGI, OST, costumes, and production team which is why they had to cut expenses by getting less known leads, have some editing issues/voice recording issues, and lack of promo.
But I think that it was worth it and the cast managed to carry their roles well!! They managed to
outperform their budget to S rank, gain multiple top1 spots in different countries, and for the leads gain more attention. This was the first main ML role for Deng Wei and personally, I think he nailed it!

Ep 9 was truly the definition of Gamin's moto "I create opportunities even in hellish situations"🥺
It was such an emotional episode to see them fall apart and later come together again with Gamin leading the way! My boy!
And idk about others but this ep didn't disappoint me at all if anything it brought out my emotions and built up my excitement for last ep!

Btw it just dawned on me that this is the first ML role for Deng Wei! And the drama being A+ rank yet outperforming it's budget to S rank...I can't help but be reminded of another fave show of mine from last year Blossom and Song Mo ><
I am hoping this actor can also have his breakthrough and we get to see him in more shows in the future and honestly FL as well cause she also deserves more attention!
There are so many talented people in C-drama land and I can't help but be happy whenever one gets their spotlight!!

I see thank you! I don't yet know who Duman is since I am only on ep3 right now and still familiarizing with the plot but I think she must be most suitable for our Song Cong to end up together! Although I am rooting for Chan Haun and Jing Qi Chi I still have a soft spot for my boy Song! Honestly, my sixth sense is kinda telling QiQi is not fit for Song Cong and kinda rubbing me the wrong way since ep1...So she wasn't my main option for other of the 2 boys! I only hope there will be no trouble with her and the rest ><

Finally reached ep 23 and SYS acting like a kitty definitely stole the show for me!! HE IS SO ADORABLY CUTE & FUNNY 🤣😆

So far none. But Viki will be picking it up in March! I also started watching this drama and enjoying it but had to stop for that reason...For now we can only wait.

I'm currently trying to catch up to the latest eps and this drama has been thoroughly enjoyable so far!! Best recent Xianxia I have watched honestly, hooked me from the beginning and hasn't stopped since ><

I did some research myself on Iqiyi, and the heat index has been stuck at 8k+ for days. I hope it can hit at least 9k+ before the finale so that it can get the hype it deserves!
I also found that although it is an A+-rank drama, according to Yunhe, it outperformed its investment tier and was given an S-rank drama title! Which is definitely good for the production team and actors. I am honestly interested to see what the Douban score will look like!

Heat index: measures popularity and engagement. Each platform (iqiyi, tencent, youku etc.) has its own index standard for measuring how popular the drama is during its broadcast. It can only be compared within platforms not across them.

Oh I wasn't trying to argue either...Maybe I came off as such but it wasn't really my intention. But I was just trying to say what I know after watching quite a few cdrama of this genre. It comes up quite often in cultivation stories be it drama or novel that's why I said it's "pretty known fact."

Honestly, I am still very much into xianxia and costume cdrama in general but last year wasn't so great honestly...Only a few managed to catch my attention and have me fully immersed. Especially when it comes to xianxia and yes this team seems to know what they are doing since I have enjoyed their past projects a lot too!

The practice of cultivation alone and the creation of a core can extend a human's life that's a known fact for all these cultivation/fantasy cdrama! So no need for "age preserving cultivation". And the last step of cultivation is reaching ascension and becoming immortal.

It's no surprise that this C-drama has hit me with much nostalgia and perfectly checked all the right boxes for me so far! The team behind it also gave us Love & Redemption, Ancient Love Poetry, and The Last Immortal, all of which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. May this drama follow in their footsteps and become another great success! The leading cast is also doing great with their chemistry and acting even though I am not all that used to them from other works ><
I cannot wait to catch up to the latest eps, so excited!

Just 10 minutes into episode 5 and I’m already in tears. The cruelty the adults around the ML showed him while he was growing up is heart-wrenching. His own birth mother abandoned him for money... When he set fire to the house they bought from selling him, I couldn’t help but feel it was the perfect act of retribution. But what really broke me was the parallel between his parents shutting their doors on him and the FL opening hers with all the lanterns lit, ready to welcome him. It’s so emotional.
Btw I can already tell FL's sister will be another selfish double-faced bitch...Her presence and actions already irk me!

Having watched the first four episodes, I can confidently say this series is captivating and engaging enough to hold my attention, GL or not,the plot is gripping and that's all that matters in the end! That said, I'm totally fine with any skinship scenes as long as they don't derail the storyline (and I trust they won't, especially since the team behind this also created Method, which was an excellent psychological film with LGBT elements).

However, the lack of official English subtitles is a deal-breaker for me, especially now that the plot seems to be getting even more intense from episode 5 onward! I’ll have to exercise some patience and wait for Viki to hopefully pick this up in March, so I can enjoy it fully without having to guess at times with AI subs and losing any details.

I’ve finally decided to dive into this drama, now that it's halfway, and the first 3 episodes have been really promising! I’m genuinely enjoying it, and it’s one of the few recent historical fantasy cdrama that has hooked me from the start, which is something I’ve been struggling to find lately. Hopefully, it keeps up the momentum and gives us a satisfying ending!
