Currently rewatching ep29 and this line struck me...This drama has so many beautiful and deep quotes, honestly...I wish I could compile them all! "Every star is far away. The stars are lonely. The same goes for people. But as long as each star illuminates one another, they can gather and form into the brightest galaxy."
To find like minded people who can accompany you and help you create your very own bright galaxy must be one of the greatest blessings life can offer.
Also the whole forest/campfire scene on this ep, broke me and mended my heart all over again! I love my HuanJing cuties so much!
Did they mention in the drama if huan er won any place on the chemistry contest in high school? Hahahahaha
It wasn't mentioned clearly but based on the talk she had with her mom that day Huan er didn't seem to have made it and her mother was sort of comforting her.
I am still planning to re-watch the last 2 eps before moving on but l plan to go and continue The first frost…
I meant The First Frost. It's just kinda too heavy when it comes to the FL's background which leaves me feeling melancholic at times while watching. Always home has its emotional moments too but it's not depressing for me. FL ends up with Jing Qi Chi.
From here to where? What are yo u guys going to watch next?
I am still planning to re-watch the last 2 eps before moving on but l plan to go and continue The first frost (honestly this drama is too depressing at times for me so I need another drama on the side and breaks while watching) and I heard The Best Thing is nice so I will give that a try too!
In addition, from early comments, a lot of people didn't give the show a chance because they thought the ....
Honestly I never get how people in MDL can rate dramas just after few eps...Usually I am the type to not rate smth until I reach the end of it or at least 3/4 into it...Cause for me someone's rate holds value only if they know the material they are talking about to the fullest...
EP25 was so fucking cute and funny omg main couple are soooooo cute together I love them so much π unfortunately…
IKR?? The late night rendezvous at the boys' dorm & the kabedon scene had me in stitches!ππ As for the secondary couple Song Cong truly deserves better and it's sad to see them drag out the SC/QQ relationship so much...Just break up already! Scriptwrter really did SC dirty...
Why is the rating still 8.1? It's strange because comments are 90% very positive. And the funny thing is that…
Tencent kinda messed with the promos for this drama and I think it's been less known internationally/ many have yet to watch it...Hence, the low rating...But it definitely deserves more attention and a higher score!
Omg ep24 ending is so freaking hilarious!! He crushed out so bad after Huan er accepted his confession that lil bro ended up breaking his bed...ππ
i havenβt finished the drama yet, does song cong end up with du man or qiqi?
In novel with Duman but here in the series I have heard from spoilers he ends up alone or in just "some" type of non confirmed relationship with Duman. Good news is that he does break up with QiQi around ep 26 or so!
Is Qiqi's character sick? Why should such character even be a main lead. I really feel bad for song cong, he deserves…
True...But I guess it was to shed some more realism...After all, not all of the friends or lovers we have end up being nice and decent. Sometimes, there are some crooked and "sick" individuals mixed in! And I guess that's QiQi here. What upsets me personally it's not her character or existence in the drama as a whole BUT the screentime that was dedicated to her...Like they should have closed her arc wayy sooner and finally give Song Cong the happy ending he deserves with Duman instead of dragging it out...So yeah they kinda failed with the pacing there!
As a comfort let me inform you that in the novel he ends up with Duman eventually! I guess they didn't have enough…
Agreed I would have been way more invested if they did that! Honestly, QiQi got too much screen time for nothing...She started as an annoying self centered individual and stayed the same even after years... The only way I would appreciate her character would be if there was some growth to her character, but sadly, she remained the same self centered and shallow person she was...Like what was the point? She only left viewers with a bad taste in their mouths...I would have much preferred to see more of Song Cong's sweet romance with Duman cause he deserves a happy ending as much as HuanJing!
Xiao Wen as main lead?.I'll quit. This man has less facial expression than a stone Not to mention his mediocre…
I am all for constructive criticism, but blatantly coming and leaving this type of comment when you are 0 eps into the drama, it's kinda hilarious to say the least! π And before you go into defense mode, I am not even his fan, this is the 2nd time I have seen him in a series in years. And idk about other cdrama but here he fits the youthful, goofy character he plays it quite well and didn't have much trouble holding his own, even in the more emotional scenes^^
What i am not satisfied with is Song Cong ending up alone
As a comfort let me inform you that in the novel he ends up with Duman eventually! I guess they didn't have enough eps left to develop their relationship here so our Song Cong got the short end of the stick out of our sweet trio :( If you ask me they should have had QiQi out of the picture sooner...She literally serving nothing but annoyance and confusion sigh... I keep skipping and fast forwarding through their "dating era" right now...
I think the biggest issue with QiQi is that she never really saw Song Cong for who is actually and just image…
Because QiQi never actually loved Song Cong! She was just in love with the version of him she created inside her head and just wanted to get to own him! She literally even compared her crush for him to "a dress she desperately wants to own but can't buy" lmao She is just far too self-centered to be able to focus on someone else... Song Cong deserves someone who fits him and understands him better...
Finally, they dropped the express?! Cannot wait to watch the last 7 eps today and savor this to the fullest!! I can already tell I will be missing this series and my sweet SongJingHuan trio!!
Edit: I just started ep23 and I guess I forgot how emotionally realistic and deep this drama gets haha...It's really way more than just your average youthful coming-of-age romance cdrama!! Already got me bawling my eyes out. I guess after Song and Jing, it's now time for Huan er's family to face some difficulties...And especially Huan er's situation just hits too close to home for me! And this episode made me realize once again that however old you might be, you will always seek out your mother. Because her presence alone can fill you up with immense strength and comfort! And that you will never stop being seen as a child by her even if you already got a child yourself!
Very different vibe to Hidden Love for sure. I was surprised at the casting before but watching now I realised…
Yes it definitely has a much darker and serious vibe compared to Hidden Love, and watching the brother there, I was never expecting his story to take such a turn for sure with his love interest...As for needing strong acting skills rather than visuals, I think TFF combines both here quite well, and Hidden Love didn't lack in it either for what it had to serve with its given plot! ^^
A quick question:Do I have to watch Hidden Love if I wanna watch this?
No you don't! All the actors are diferent and the storylines are barely connected! You can watch both as stand alones. Even I who have watched Hidden Love I try to see them as not conected cause it confuses me more if I try to connect the timelines from both lol
