The novel is quite entertaining and keeping you engaged with what he yan is going through. Romance wise it is good, perfect mix of military, politics, plot twists and love. I think the reasonable female lead tag has to do with the fact He Yan is consistent in her revenge, logical and quite intelligent as a female lead. And she applies what she has learnt in her previous life subtlety, like the fact she doesnt use a sword as people can recognise the sword style of the flying phoenix general or her exceptional hearing and military strategies. She also gives back 10 times what she suffered and Xiao Jue is there to support her. Also it is a HE.
