My dear Xion, see when we cut out the lost dog and cringy characters we can get something coherent? Some still exist, but we're going in the right direction! Miles better than the other Oxin productions! This one actually focuses on a good, relatable story with believable characters. Still some room for improvement, but we're getting there Oxin Films!

Love how these dramas to rip on brands. iPhone (although older) doesn't hold a charge, Mini breaks down. Guess Apple and Mini didn't want to be sponsors :D But we're not messing with Suzuki ever!
Krist is a great actor. He is bringing some nice chaotic energy to Kawi and plays the shy moments perfectly. However, as with his other performances, this series is showing how underrated Fluke is. He is really one of GMM's gems. His facial expressions, his body language, and his on-screen presence are just another level.
I feel like the few people complaining about Krist's facial expression just want to find a flaw to point out.…
Krist is an epic actor. In his original role he was somewhat overshadowed by Singto, but he really is a great actor in his own right. He is palying Kawi quite well: the flawed loner introvert. His reactions around Pearmai with the shy blushing, to his angry, to his more over-the-top with the fix-it guy were all done well.
I was really surprised they handled Zeke's shoot of Fifth so tastefully. Fifth doing it voluntarily and removing his clothes on his own also shows the trust he places in him. Now, if I were one of the characters in the show I'd make a cringy pun about "thrust." See, Oxin and Xion, it's not hard to avoid these horrible double entendres that no one really enjoys.
Ep.9 had the least cringy cringe of the whole series, but it was still there dragging down what could be a great story. Why kill Sky's dad? Seems unwarranted, but at least the conversations in the final act were nice. While not perfect ep.9 still showed how this production could have been much better with just some thought . . .
That was a beautiful ending befitting one of the best bl's out there. BB merging with A Tale of 1000 Stars worked…
What I liked most is the couples interacted and that was that. In some other drama the couples would have suddenly become best friends. I was waiting to see if Pat and Pran would come to Tian's dinner and if they would suddenly be best buddies. Glad they went a more realistic way and the two, basically, seperated after the play. Just enough interaction and no more.
It's so strange to see people considering Milk a better actress than Namtan. Maybe it's those who only watch BL?
Milk is not a bad actress, but Namtan is an epic vetran. Namtan was the one holding The Player together with her portrayal of the baddie, Giwi. That was her best role IMHO. She just had chemistry with every other actor and was able to ham it up at the right times without overshadowing her fellow players. It was also a role completely different from what she usually plays, showing that she has some amazing range. I hope to see her in more of those roles. Milk has the potential to be on the same level as Namtan with experience.
Hiro, my boy, take in your studies in film production well. Examine everything wrong in My Story where you are one of the strongest performers and produce some fine Pinoy dramas for us fans :D
At ep.6 all I can say is Oxin has some good location scouts, did well to get actual sponsors, and has some comparatively competent casting directors, but that's about it! From the country that brought two of the best, groundbreaking BL properties of all time in Gameboys and Gaya Sa Pelikula (Like in the Movies) we have this mess that is Oxin producing this... this... whatever this, its predecessor, and Rainbow Prince are. Anyway, all three are like trainwrecks: you know it's a disaster but you can't look away! Xion Lim seems to be the M. Night Shyamalan of Asian Drama. The premise is good, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired! The ad-libbing is just annoying and downright wrong at times. We have Sky's parents on the phone to him and suddenly the Dad and neighbour just go off into this tangent about nuts! Most of the dialogue between Jelai and Jam seems to be less genuine than in Whose Line is it Anyway! Didn't Oxin want to pay for a writer for these characters? Some of the printed scenes in the show seem to be practice shots and Xion just said, "Cut! Print! That's a wrap!" on the first take! Sad to say, but this material in the hands of JP Habac (Gaya Sa Pelikula, Meet Me Outside, and others) or Ivan Andrew Payawal (Gameboys, Unconditional, and others), or many others may have been actually award-winning! Let's not even talk about continuity! Clothes and hair change from one scene to the other with no real time passing! The scenes where Drake and Zeke are handing out fliers and end up in the saloon are supposed to be continuous. When they are in the saloon and speaking to Earvelene's "owner" they are dressed completely differently! Couldn't Oxin have at least one person on this? However, this formula seems to be working quite well for Oxin Films. They have sponsors, even if the product placement is some of the worst shots of the products, and My Story is in 4K and 5.1 surround sound!
As much as I hate to say your comment really hit the nail . I had lots of expectations from this series . But…
They really had an amazing property here. The acting was epic, the locations were perfect, the world felt lived in, the story was quite a good one. They dropped the ball on some of the character growth and motivations.
We have that silly Chuckchuck side story that takes away from the Thai scenes! So much development between Sky and Win could have been done there! The story is good, the characters interesting, but Xion needs to stay far, far away from directing! Zeke and Fifth have so much promise! We should have forgotten about Sky, his X and that dam dog and just focus on these two!
