This was just wow. I don't really like things too sweet, but this sweet was just right. It was ice cream on top of cake, with coconut jelly inside, with a core of sugar, but sometimes that's what you need. The lovey scenes were not forced but played perfectly into the narrative. The chemistry was like a lab on fire. Everyone just meshed and performed their hearts out. Even the supporting characters like Tin's mom and dad had the most amazing relationship. Photjanee [Tinn's mother / Principal] and Gim [Gun's mother] had a really good scene together. Hopefully, this great start to 2023 will continue.
The most unbelievable thing is these young professionals can afford such amazing apartments :D. How do I get a flat like Uea's? His view is just amazing! Seriously, Mandee can really write character backgrounds. Uea's story is really traumatic and the show does not hold back. Hopefully, we get to explore King's background also.
I know Nuengdiao is meant to grow into his suit and new job as big boss, but couldn't they get him a better-fitting one from the start? I want to see Nat hamming up being the baddie. He is an excellent actor, let it show. He's a little too reserved. Threatening Chopper with Ben wasn't nice though . . .
This is the perfect coming-of-age story! Leadership differences between Tinn and Gun. One wanted to be a leader to help; and the other, basically, having leadership pushed on him to get this rag-tag bunch to a goal. All the characters develop, including the parents! This is usually missed out in many BLs where, usually, only the staring characters grow. The many flaws of the characters make them perfect. We see Gun being a strong leader, but still unsure of himself. The fact that Sound had to relent and give leadership back to Gun is critical. The simple situation of Gun knowing that Sound didn't play as he should and needed therapy was marvelous. Letting him go without the others knowing, again, displayed his level of leadership. Tinn's mom was, seemingly, becoming the baddie of the series. In a brilliant stroke of misdirection, we see this is not true. Again, brilliant! Por's emotion in the Band Room when no one joined him was so emotional. Well done writers, director, and Ford. The scene with the band trekking to the shrine was extremely well done. The raw emotion, the raw truth. It felt more like real, close friends having an argument. As near perfection as GMM has presented, and one of the all-time greatest BLs and coming-of-age stories!

Rainbow Prince was supposed to be a BL musical from the Phillippines, but that was really a huge flop. When Gim started singing here, though, it just felt organic and in the proper place! When they moved to the other characters too it just felt natural and in place. And, yes, GMM was the company Gun auditioned for. Golf was even the producer! This is so meta. Like how the BBC puts its style and logo in fictional universes like Dr. Who.

His facial expressions and ability to go from strong to crying really sells the emotions. When he started to cry in Tinn's arms it was just so sad. When Gim (Gun's mother) asks Tinn if Gun is really OK that was true parenting.

This is one of my main loves for this series. Each character is dealing with his own issues. I love how Gun is cast in the leadership role, but is still very human having his doubts and insecurities, but keeping the ultimate goal in mind still has him focused. Even Sound who did the coup d'etat came to realise Gun's leadership ability and had to relent. The other band members each experiencing their own problems was a nice, collective character building moment.

The story seems to be pointing to the inspector, but I'm also beting Piak with him supporting Lak's family possibly out of guilt. Or maybe Pin. She's shady as a banyan tree. For sure Salawat Champ is in on the conspiracy.
The one thing I'm enjoying here is the acting. From young Phukhao (Phoo needs some sort of award) to the more seasoned "teens", to the veteran actors, everybody is giving their all. Ohm, for example, is straddling a fine line of being very emotional without going into lakorn territory. Well done. Foei is chewing up the scenery in his way as always. Tu is portraying her emotions quite well as she did in F4 Thailand. However, View is outdoing herself as Zo. If I must choose one best actor in this amazingly great cast it would be View. Her emotion and line delivery are so on-point and perfect!
This is perfection in storytelling, acting and directing. It's very "cute" without being overbearing and is very organic. Thank God it's Friday was supposed to be a continuation of the Love Sick franchise and could have been this with a little more care!
Definitely was! Technically it wasn't really marketed as a BL, but more to the soap opera/ lakorn fans. It's a good way to introduce the idea of BL to that segment of the market. Just like how Miracle of Teddy Bear brought it to Ch3's audience which is not really the BL demographic.
Madam Li got poisoned and shot multiple times but still able to pull off a 7-minute speech T______T the writers…
With the length of that speech they could have brought the car around, loaded her up, gotten her to the hospital, sewed her up and she'd still be talking :D Amazingly she didn't address each member of staff personally :D
