I suspected because of some of the things that Zee has said over the years that he might have an ownership stake, but I wasn't sure. I know he wasn't a founding member, but Max got him in very shortly after.

This is the first time I've watched a series in progress. I've previously always waited until it was over. And since Pit Babe 2 was also on IQIYI I watched that in progress too.

Zee gave an interview the other day and said he was going to retire at 35 and only take on a series or movie once in a while.

He's gotten pretty sick from working every single day for years, and this last year he was in the hospital twice. So I think he's had enough.

Don't know if that includes running DMD, or if he even has any ownership stake in the company. I'm pretty sure the only reason he does this at all is for Nu, and he's pretty well launched at this point. If Nu left DMD and only did music he'd be just fine. I've noticed that Amp has been accompanying him recently, I'm not sure if she's taking on the role of manager.

In the interview he said what he planned to do was run his businesses and maybe start a restaurant.

I hope Aof sees the potential in Jimmy and Ohm because in my mind they are the closest to a possible replacement for Zee and NuNew after Zee retires.

I don't know if I have much interest in seeing Khemjira, but DMD released a new OST featuring Keng, I assume for that series, and he has a really nice voice.

Not true. JJ is replacing James in Love Upon A Time opposite Net.

Net and JJ in TNP was a last minute swap and a toe in the water for a first project together. Thomas and Kong were supposed to be the third couple but because of the delay in production they had to start on Your Sky and were no longer available.

The book had its plot holes too and some of them were bigger. But the point is that it's not anything close to what the fans would expect out of a Zeenunew series.

Also in the book the sex scenes were much more graphic and somehow without any experience Charan became some kind of sex savant. I found that kind of comical.

I think Hug E Lhee will be a much better vehicle for them.

The one thing that is the same from the novel and the series is there was only one person who wasn't emotionally abused from the time they were a child and that is Khanin.

And you can tell the difference in the way Khanin acts compared to everyone else. Everyone else is a victim of trauma except possibly the king. We don't know his background.

But the book was significantly different than the series in many aspects and I think that the changes were primarily because the characters were so dark that it would have been a bummer and not the romance that fans expect from a Zeenunew series.

Although Charan and Khanin do have romance it's not as present in the book. The book is 1600 pages long (PDF pages not real book format). And their first sexual encounter is at around page 1200. So there was a lot going on in the book outside of their romantic feelings for each other. And I don't think that's what Zeenunew fans expect out of one of their series.

People in the book were murdering each other. There was no redemption plot for the king. He wasn't a good guy that just made a mistake by running a dirty mine and then saw the error of his ways. There was just a king murdering people and impoverishing the three other clans to maintain power and control in Assavadevathin.

The king murdered Wasin's wife when she confronted him about how he was destroying the economy in Meenanakarin, and in return Wasin tried to poison the king with that bird's nest soup he'd been bringing him every week over the years. When that didn't work eventually there was a confrontation and he seriously wounded the king before pulling the gun on himself and committing suicide. The king lived the rest of his life paralyzed and not being able to talk in a prison hospital. It was real Grimm's fairy tale stuff.

It was Game of Thrones not Princess Bride and I think Zeenunew fans want Princess Bride. It was probably really hard for Aof to change enough of the plot to make it palatable for them.

I'm not even sure why Aof had a book like that written for a future series with Zeenunew.

None of the episodes bored me, but Ramil/Paytai had a minimal role in the book and all that abuse and faux BDSM garbage was added to give them a role in the series
