Actually, Khanin's speech was the only one that dealt with the economy of the region and the pollution issue. All…
Well we certainly have different opinions on what personal means.
But that aside, if I was a subject in Emmaly, Khanin's answer is the one I would have voted for.
In the end people vote for the economy, and have a real interest in the terrible pollution that also affects a large number of Emmamalians.
I don't know if you are from the US, or consider Bill Clinton's administration history where as I do not. But the thing that won him the election was his slogan.
"It's the economy, stupid"
People vote their pocketbooks before they vote anything else.
Actually, Khanin's speech was the only one that dealt with the economy of the region and the pollution issue. All…
The pollution issue wasn’t personal to him. That would be like saying that poverty among the subjects was personal to him, which he also alluded to in his speech. Those things are meaningful to him because he is a compassionate person, and also realizes that a kingdom with healthy and prosperous subjects is good for everyone.
He was not personally affected by those issues like Ramil and Ava were.
However, I do believe that Khanin got the best question, the answer to which was likely to get the most votes from the subjects.
But then again his annoying dig at Khanin and Ava...
I remember that. I obviously don't know what's going to happen in the TV series, but it is possible that Ramil will come clean and tell the people that his father had the wit contest results rigged.
From the promos it looks like Joe is back in action and is going to try and kill Khanin again. So I guess they are going to have the ambush happen in the archery competition as opposed to the fencing competition.
Maybe that means the fencing competition is never going to happen. We'll have to see.
Since you read the novel you already know why. I finally broke down and read to the end today but haven't started…
Even though we haven't seen the fencing and archery competitions yet it seems like each one is competing on their own and not on a team.
I read the special chapters since I wrote the post above. It really doesn't give you much more insight on what is happening in Emmaly.
It mostly surrounds Khanin and Charan's life after all of this is over. Obviously they stay together forever as promised, but I won't go in more detail and will let you enjoy reading those last four chapters.
I think what most infuriates people (including me) with this BL is that the first episodes were very promising…
I think it really depends on who you're talking to. I found that every episode moved the plot along. There are two main plots the competition to determine the next king, and the love story between Charan and Khanin.
I found that each one of the episodes moved the plot along for at least one and often both of those storylines.
MDL seems to be way more critical of this series than other places. And the audience seems to enjoy it because week after week it is the number one series in Thailand and 15 other countries. So there are people watching it and obviously not dropping it.
i think the london part of storyline was there to show the life Khanin has been living before and also if i remember…
He was taken against his will. He is not safe. People are trying to kill him, they have already tried to kill him once. And if you saw the coming attractions you know they're going to try and kill him again in episode 12.
Everyone in that Royal Palace is traumatized and effed up from the king and his cronies.
If I had been one of Khanin's friends I would have understood.
It's all boils down to you don't think he has an excuse for failing to contact his friends in England and I do.
The first two episodes were good (when they were in London and Thailand) but boy once they hit Emmaly did this…
Nu dyed his hair. There are probably only a few scenes where he has to wear a wig after he bleached it platinum blonde for Diva La Vie. And I have no idea if those scenes have been shown yet.
His hair is totally trashed now. If you see him at any time where he's not on stage his hair looks like straw after being bleached.
If he ever wanted to be a monk this would be the time to go do it because he really needs to shave all of that off.

All three issues are important but Ramil and Ava's speeches were personal.
I liked all three, but I was surprised when Ramil "won" and wasn't surprised to find out afterwards that Rachata put in the fix.

And for me it's still Saturday. 🙂

Khanin had a lot of his plate, like people trying to kill him .
