Close to 3 minutes dedicated to the "previously on" recap leading into today's episode... I don't recall…
That's because this is the chapter in which the story comes to a head. So all the previous highlights were ones that had an impact on today's story. Some people just don't remember what happened from episode to episode.

This was a very short episode. but there isn't that much to the rest of the story before the special chapters, so I'm hoping my speculation that they will wrap up everything to the end of the book in the next episode is correct. And episode 14 will deal with Khanin and Charan's romantic future. In the book there was some additional information about the ongoing relationship between Ramil/Paytai and Calvin/Jay

they just killed my fav character :( RIP Chakri 💔
I'm not sure that Chakri is dead. Sometimes they mix up scenes with dialogue to make it seem like they are visiting one grave when they're really going to another. I'm hoping.

In the book both Charan and Khanin's mother's died on the same day. Maybe they were visiting their graves. That is explained in the book but not in the series. Charan's mother was one of the royal guards that was protecting the sabotaged car that Khanin's mother was riding in.

What? The king does not even know that Wirun's sister married Wasin?
That's because of the king doesn't GAF about any humans. He only cares about power. Even Khanin is no more than a tool to help him retain it since he's dying of cancer.

This episode is very different from the novel even if the essence of the outcome is more or less the same.

And PS they better not have killed off Chakri.

Hmmm 🤦‍♀️Only good thing about this ep was Willy getting rid of the wheelchair and seeing KimKenta in…
Maybe Pit Babe 3? Babe and Charlie are engaged now I think, so wouldn't the series have to end with them getting married?

I think the intention behind the story was to explore how Khanin navigates his new life, facing countless challenges…
I have, and so far it is not. But I still really like the series. And everyone loves Chakri. ❤️

I literally don’t get it, if the series is already shot and completed how 16.07 is the last day of shooting???
No one wins the competition. There is another attack during the fencing match in the book. I believe that in the series that's going to happen in the next episode during the archery match.

Khanin, Ramil and Ava decide that nobody should rule Emmaly that they should do it collectively and publish information about interstate commerce and budget matters online for everyone to see for the sake of transparency.

Below there are two very long spoiler posts that explain this in more detail.

Cliff notes version is the king was dirty he was stealing product from the other three territories to keep the power in Assavadevathin.

He was responsible for Charan's mother's death and the death of Wasin's wife and child.

King winds up in prison. Wasin kills himself.

Rachata also winds up in prison.

Both Charan and Khanin were in the middle of all this when it happened and were traumatized afterwards. Parted for a short time but of course they wound up together in the end.

The last four chapters are what happens in their personal lives after the events. So that's more or less fluff, and I have no idea if it's going to be included in the series.

If they wrap it up to the end of the novel in episodes 12 and 13, I think there would be time for those four chapters in an hour and a half finale. We'll have to see.

For those really interested in Zeenunew romance I think it would be better if they did include the last four chapters, or did a special episode afterwards like they did with Cutie Pie 2.

Cutie Pie 2 was way too long and should have been a single episode. So if they don't include the last four chapters in the TNP series they should just do a single special episode like they should have done for Cutie Pie.

They’ve been shooting some scenes for the later episodes. The one they shot yesterday kind of looks like something from the final episode, if they included the special chapters in the series. I don’t want to spoil, but if you want to know I can add a spoiler response and tell you how it ends in the book. If you want to know what happened to Charan’s mother, or how the competition ended (in the book), look for a series of spoiler posts by me below.

i loved the scene with Tharin and Khanin. People complained how less Tharin‘s reaction was after seeing Khanin…
I do realize this is TNP, the kingdom of dysfunction, but in healthy families step parents and bio parents don't make their kids choose. ❤️

Khanin just found out about the mining problems a few episodes ago. At the protest he said he was going to make…
I'm retired now but I was a writer and publisher by profession.

There is a lot more that happened and discussion of feelings and how all of this affected them

It also caused some problems between Khanin and Charan and they part for a while. But love wins in the end and they wind up together forever.

PS it was the king who killed Charan's mother and the driver so there wouldn't be any witnesses to the fact that Khanan and Thatdanai were still alive.

I didn't give the details on what happened in the attack on Khanin's mother and the killing of Charan's mother Chita because I explained it in the long spoiler above that Umbrak requested.

One thing I'm not sure of is whether or not the initial attack on the car of Khanin's mother and Khanin was the work of Wasin. Once the series is over I will read the first book as well and will reread the second book. TNP is two books each 800 pages but because it's a PDF those 1600 pages are not the same as 1600 pages of a paper novel. I was planning on a comparison here after the series is over.

The book is translated from Thai to English and it's not the best translation in the world. The translator often left out who said what and so reading goes a lot slower. I can normally read a 1600 page novel in a few days.

They would need at least double the number of episodes to film all the plot twists in this novel.

And I don't know what it reads like in Thai but the English translation is not that good so it took me a while to parse The summary that John Gotti asked me for.

Title The Next Prince Spoiler
Khanin just found out about the mining problems a few episodes ago. At the protest he said he was going to make…
The plot is very complex and I'm trying not to write you a book. So this is as brief as I can make it since it covers 70 pages.

During the fencing match between Ramil and Khanin shots were fired by masked men in black, the same assassins that attacked Charan and Khanin in London and in front of the nightclub in Davichmetha.

In the novel there were teams in the fencing competition rather than single contestants. Ava's team from Meenakarin (Wasin's territory) sabotaged her and she lost. At the time the shots were fired Khanin and Ramil were tied in their match but unlike in the series Khanin won the "wits" contest, so he was about to win the whole thing.

As the attack was going on people started to scatter trying to leave. Security threw Charan a gun and he shot a couple of the attackers on the way out. Ramil, Paytai, Ava, Mira, and Calvin were on the scene. After finding security they scattered into small groups which they thought would be safer.

Charan and Khanin suspecting the king was somehow behind this went to the palace to find him in his office. However that was not so safe considering the men in black were on their way to the palace as well.

When they arrived they found the king packing up incriminating documents showing that he had embezzled from the other clans.

The king tries to rush Charan and Khanin out before the bad guys arrive but Khanin demands answers and a shouting match ensues.

Meanwhile the bad guys show up with Wasin who was behind the violence all along. The reason for this was that the goods the king embezzled caused great poverty in his territory. And when his wife found out about this and confronted the king he responded by giving her cement boots and drowning her while she was pregnant with their son. Nice! 🙄

Thatdanai also shows up at the palace looking for Charan and Khanin after leading the others to safety and hides in the front office where he could hear what was going on. While he's hiding he's recording everything that's being said for evidence in court later.

Wasin spends a good amount of time screaming at the king. By now all the things that had happened to him have him pretty unhinged.

It is Wasin who finally tells Charan what happened to his mother, and taunts him by saying, "In the end you had to fall in love with the child who caused your mother's death". Yikes. (See my spoiler post above for the full story on the ambush of Khanin's mother's car and the killing of Charan's mother).

Because of his loss he wanted everything to come tumbling down in destruction around him. He wanted Khanin dead so the king would feel the loss that he felt.

By this time one of Wasin's assassins was pointing a gun at the king and Charan had his gun pointed at Wasin, but he was also emotionally paralyzed after learning about what happened to his mother, and he couldn't shoot.

Khanin assessing the situation, discreetly texts Chakri to send reinforcements to the scene before it gets any worse.

Another chapter or two later Wasin grabs Khanin and points a gun at his head demanding that Charan kill the king or he was going to kill Khanin. After more pages of dialogue eventually Khanin twists Wasin's arm and escapes his grip.

Wasin then fires a shot at the king and misses, Thatdanai jumps out of his hiding spot and shoots Wasin in the arm to stop him. Meanwhile the reinforcements arrive led by Chakri and Tharin. One of them shoots Wasin another time and then they go to check on Khanin.

Although everyone thought Wasin was out of commission after getting shot twice he managed to grab a gun from one of the guards and shoots the king in the back, which gravely injures him but doesn't kill him. Wasin then raises the gun to his l temple and shoots himself in the head while yelling "See you in hell uncle".

After all of this a palace council is called with representatives from each state. The council discovered all kinds of other evidence of wrongdoing by the king which was investigated and judged by the Royal Senate. The king was stripped of his position, imprisoned in the prison hospital with no visitors.

Rachata confessed to all his crimes and was sent to prison.

Due to the king's disability officials requested the selection of a new king however all the state leaders disagreed with the old method and decided to govern together for the sake of transparency.

Khanin, Ava and Ramil participated in the meeting and agreed that one state shouldn't hold the right to govern the others. They suggested that all information on interstate trade and national budgets be uploaded to an online platform for everyone to scrutinize including the public.

So democracy of a sorts for Emmaly. Yay. I guess it really is the last prince.

Whew!

No one wins the competition because there was another attack during the fencing match. I believe in the series they've switched this to the archery match in episode 12 (next week's episode). I can give you a more detailed description if you're interested when I get back home.

Khanin just found out about the mining problems a few episodes ago. At the protest he said he was going to make…
Khanin's mother took him to visit her family in Phuchongpisut for a few days (she and Ramil's father were cousins). Charan's mother Chita and Thatdanai were the accompanying Royal guards plus a driver. At the time Chita was the head of the Pitakdeva Royal guards.

The car was ambushed enroute and Khanin's mother was fatally wounded, but Khanin survived. So the king summoned Thatdanai to take him to England and raise him there. To make the ruse plausible, the king had a villager and his son burned beyond recognition and then thrown into the car to make it seem that both Thatdanai and Khanin had died in the crash.

So there wouldn't be any witnesses the driver and Charan's mother were killed at the king's order. Thatdanai didn't want to leave Chita alone but he had no reason to believe that the Pitakdeva Royal guards wouldn't assist her. Instead they killed her.

Joe the (spy) fencing instructor from a few episodes back is about to make an appearance in episode 12 according to the coming attractions. I assume this is to take another shot at killing Khanin.

Thought I'd give you the whole story in one place.

I really love this series but it has so many sub plots and planting, while the episodes are only 14They should…
Khanin just found out about the mining problems a few episodes ago. At the protest he said he was going to make some temporary fixes like giving people N95 masks while he looks into more permanent solutions. It's only been a couple of episodes since so I wouldn't expect him to have it figured out yet.

Ava probably doesn't have a whole lot of struggles outside of having a dumb father because she's rich and isn't experiencing the economic issues that the average woman faces.

In the book you do find out what happens to Charan's mother, but it isn't mentioned until after what I think is going to happen in episode 12. Don't want to spoil that.

Ramil and Paytai are both victims of abuse. Ramil has finally come to the realization that he was acting just like his father and is starting to change his behavior. But the reason that he didn't interfere when his dad beat Paytai is that he made it worse for Paytai when he interfered. There is a flashback to their high school days explaining that.

I'm not sure what the King's reasons are for trying to keep Charan and Khanin apart. The king is all about control, and I don't think he really cares about them being a same-sex couple or the difference in their status in the palace.

There are discussions in the book that I haven't seen in the series and don't think I will which lead me to believe his original objection had nothing to do with what you're thinking.

And FWIW the king deserves everything that's going to be coming his way. 😉

PS. It's a gold mine.

Actually, Khanin's speech was the only one that dealt with the economy of the region and the pollution issue. All…
If I had to pick second place it would be Ava's answer because half of the population in any country is women. So gender discrimination affects a large proportion of the population.

I'm old AF and so grew up in an age of gender discrimination where my mother was the only CFO of a fortune 500 company that I knew of and in my first career I started the first professional organization for female lobbyists in the US.

I was also subject to some violence that I won't get into.

Yes laws help improve those situations but personally I was able to overcome both of them.

But an economy that doesn't support its people is bad for everyone and there wouldn't have been anything I could have done individually to make the economy better.

Anyway from a personal perspective, and as someone who's experienced both Ramil and Ava's predicaments I would still vote for the economy. FWIW.
