Except I seriously doubt that Chakri is dead. In the coming attractions Khanin is asking him about what Wasin said. He probably wouldn't be asking him questions if he was dead.

This kind of red herring mismatch of dialogue and video is a common deceptive tactic.

Pretty sure he didn't. Look at what Khanin said to Chakri in the coming attractions. Sounds like he was visiting him in the hospital asking questions about what Wasin said. I wouldn't expect he'd ask questions if Chakri was dead.

I think they did that for budget considerations. In the book this incident happened during the fencing match and it would have required hundreds of extras to make the scene believable.

Wasin and the king were much worse human beings in the book and maybe they were trying to make it more palatable in the series.

And I think there will be more co-parenting in the special chapters which it looks like they've left room for in this series given that the rest of the book can't possibly take up more room than episode 13.

Most likely not dead. In the coming attractions Khanin is asking Chakri a question about what Wasin said. I don't know about you, but I don't ask dead people questions knowing I won't get an answer.

Carefully look what Khanin says in the coming attractions in the graveyard. Most people won't ask a dead person questions.

In the coming attractions what Khanin says is, "Chakri, I am here to see you about what Prince Wasin said, can you tell me about that?" But the video is of them laying flowers on a grave.

Khanin wouldn't be asking a dead person questions, so I'm pretty sure that Chakri is shot and recovering in the hospital. It's even possible that somehow the bullet grazed him and just kind of knocked him out and he isn't even injured.

FWIW, In the book not a hair on Chakri's head was hurt much less was he shot.

My guess on why they are in the cemetery is to lay flowers on their mothers' graves both who died in the same accident. If you're interested in the full stories see my spoilers below.

Some posters here said the king was dead. Last we saw him in the scene he was shot in the stomach but still able to walk away with help. So not dead, don't know if he will die of his wounds later in the series.

In the book the King does not die, but he is more gravely injured than in the series. There's also more information about that in one of my spoilers below.

I can go fish all of them out and put them in this post if enough people want. But I'm trying not to clog up the board with my posts any more than I'm already doing.

My thoughts on Chakri getting shot are below. Do not read unless you want a semi-spoiler. Nothing that isn't contained in the coming attractions plus my take on it given that I've read the novel.

He looks pretty healthy there.

Both the king and Wasin were much more horrible people in the book.

The last Q was the bedroom scene between Khanin and Charan. I hope he wasn't there. 😮

The king doesn't see subservient humans as people. If he did he wouldn't have made the Joe mistake either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Don't forget that when he went to Emmaly they already had his outfits picked out for him. I think the fact that they were more feminine than Ramil's is due to the difference In stature between Jimmy and NuNew. Can you even picture 6'4" Jimmy In those get-ups?

And the outfits in TNP don't hold a candle to NuNew's concert outfits. The TNP outfits are positively butch by comparison.

I don't remember there being much development between Ava and Mira in the book, but at least she was of age in the book. The actress playing Ava in the series was only 16 years old when they started shooting. She's 17 now.

And Kim and Kenta got more screen time but not really as a couple. Didn't realize that Kenta was so built until the last episode. 😮

If my prediction is right this was the penultimate episode. The next episode should be about the future of Emmaly and how they decide to rule with more equality and more transparency.

There really isn't much left to the book outside of the special chapters. So I would expect the next episode to be around the same length as this one and the final one longer.

The last four chapters are really about Khanin and Charan's romantic future, Khanin's reunion with Thatdanai and how he has both of his fathers in his life, and also resolution of Ramil/Paytai and Calvin/Jay.

Both Prince Wasin and the king were much worse human beings in the book. And you are on to something with your prediction. 😉

Since you read the book, you know that Chakri wasn't even shot much less killed in the book.

My take on it is that it's another case of the dialogue not matching what they're doing in the scene. Don't forget that Charan and Khanin both lost their mothers on the same day. So maybe that's who they are visiting in the graveyard.

It would be a very bad decision to kill Chakri off for the mere reason that he is the most likable character in the series. Even people who hate this series love Chakri.

Chalkri doesn't die in the book.

But I remember an early scene where Charan tells Khanin in the coming attractions that he doesn't realize how much he means to him. And that doesn't happen until much later in the cave scene.

It's kind of a common thing that I've seen in Asian dramas in the past, not to mention in Domundi dramas.

Now I could be wrong. But my hope is that they did not kill off Chakri. It would be a bad move.

Even people who hate this series love Chakri.
