I’d summarize this one as follows This is one of the (kind of typical) weird Japanese plots (she’s 18, he’s…
I wouldn't say there are any sexual acts, there were very basic hints that they were going to have sex. Pretty sure the R rating was for the violence in the later episodes. Viki's new PIN requirement may make me drop it anyway because it's so annoying.
Stuck with it to the end and happy I did. I was surprised by the plot twist, but happy I stayed with it. Yes Japanese…
I thought it was cute and fluffy until episode 7 or 8 when it went off the cliff. Didn't enjoy it after that even with I guess what you'd call a happy ending.
The episodes are short so I won't drop it, but I'm totally confused as to why all these men would chase after this tiny little woman in ill-fitting clothes and stringy hair. If she's an heiress why doesn't she have somebody to dress her better and style her hair? The only time she's look good so far is when she's in a kimono with her hair up.
Good drama with realistic relationships and situations. Main leads had good chemistry. The Actors all did a great…
It wasn't the surprise ending I was hoping for. It wasn't a slice of life about the main couple. I would have liked to see that ending be ML making a study for FL in his new condo because she had talked about that. Or something that had to do with them settling in with each other.

That's half right. She waited to the last minute to tell him she was going back to Shanghai which was the absolute…
He decided against it because he felt he promise the relatives of loved ones that he took care of that he would also be there for them when they died. So he didn't feel like he could move.
after she finally grow up to say I like you more than Shanghai, went off for 2y without consultation with him?…
That's half right. She waited to the last minute to tell him she was going back to Shanghai which was the absolute wrong way to handle it. The ML was accepting of long distance but he wanted to be part of the process so they could discuss how they would get together when she was away.
The FL never said she was going to Shanghai for 2 years. She said that she was building her business and she would be busy working on it for 2 years and would not have a lot of free time. However she was trying to start a business so that she could live in Nanping with ML who is tied to the city because of his profession.
Some comments said that the FL leaves the ML for 2 years without telling him in advance (or not ever telling him,…
She actually never said that. What she did wrong was waiting until she was on the train platform to tell him she was going back to Shanghai which is where she worked. With this last minute announcement he felt very left out of the process . She just handed him her decision without any input from him.
The FL was trying to start a business so that she could move to Nanping to be with ML. But she said it would be a couple of years that she was working hard on her business and wouldn't have a lot of free time. She didn't say that all of that time would be spent in Shanghai.
During the series the ML wound up going to various places to deal with fatal accidents and sometimes wasn't around for several weeks and the FL never complained about that, not even if he had to leave in the middle of dinner. So it's not like either of them was around all of the time.
I really want to watch this but can someone tell if it has too heavy drama? I can't handle any heavy drama rn…
The ML is an embalmer so there's a lot of death in this drama. I actually skipped over a lot of episode 7 which concentrated on how the deceased is prepared after death for viewing by the family. Also a lot about the ceremony of spreading the ashes and grieving.
In addition to the death themes the ML and FL have wounds. The MLs are psychological and the FLs are both psychological and physical, and they affect the way they approach their relationship, pulling in and pushing away.
There are funny scenes and the ML and FL have great chemistry and not the usual frivolous arguments, breakups, and makeups. I really liked it but there is a heavy aspect to this drama.
It's a nice drama, but the leads aren't very good at communicating, especially the FL. The relationship is built…
I didn't feel that way at all. In the beginning the FL was determined to stay in Shanghai and by the end she was looking at ways to start her own business so that she could stay in Nanping with the ML. Only thing I thought she handled badly was when she left for Shanghai and didn't tell him until they were at the train station. And at the end I would have like to see the little coda (after the credits) be about them instead of the brothers goose coming back with his lady goose friend. Maybe the ML actually making the study for the FL in his new condo that She had mentioned.
Outside of the healing for both of the leads a main theme of this drama was that women have choices now and shouldn't be expect to subjugate their entire lives to marry a man.
Episode 15 absolutely destroyed me, crying so much rn. it sucks because Zhuang Jie's insecurities and personal…
I haven't seen episode 16 yet but I took the whole scene where Zhuang Jie seduces Chen Maidong a different way. What she was saying was against her will was him removing her prosthesis. It made her feel vulnerable and it might have ended differently if he just let things progress to the point where she would remove it. He didn't ask her he just said "let me remove your prosthesis" and I think it freaked her out.
Zhuang Jie feels like damaged goods and that's why she does the push pull thing with intimacy. And in reality neither one of them was willing to give in to the other. Chen Maidong wasn't willing to move to Shanghai and Zhuang Jie wasn't willing to stay in Nanping, each for their own reasons. But even at this point in the series they have reasonable communication skills which I assume get better as a drama progresses.
I'n sorry. This is giving me a headache. I made it through three episodes and 18.29 minutes of episode 4 and I'm dropping it. I can't tell if I'm more bored or confused. Also I never watch high school romance dramas. I'll watch episode 16 to see how it turns out. But that's about as much as I'm willing to invest in this hot mess.
Okay. I finished watching it now. So this whole series is about a bunch of horrible people doing unforgivable things to each other with the exception of the ML and FL. And then in the end they all sing kumbaya and forgive. The only good thing about this was the chemistry between the ML and FL. And I still want to get a comb through the FL's hair. What does she have against a brush and trimming her ends?
