The other two I watched were https://mydramalist.com/801308-lao-gong-qing-he-wo-lian-ai-ba and https://mydramalist.com/801324-circular-passionate-love. I liked both of them so can't really pick one as best.

A few times ML/FL were arguing or something bad was said and the kid was around and crying and that was hard to watch. I didn't like that the kid had to be part of that. It felt like he was too young to participate in those type of scenes.

This was really different from the other versions I watched. It did have one aspect I didn't like much.

Chinese drama makers seem to like sad endings for some reason. I try to always find out what the ending is before watching. I'm a fan of Li Ge Yang so I figured I'd watch this one a little just to see him, but I got so immersed in the drama I couldn't quit.

That's too funny. I used to read a lot, too, but haven't for quite awhile because of watching mostly Chinese dramas and I just read a book after watching Mobius that deals with a kid who goes through the same loops of days thing as Bai Jingting, only he has 9-day loops. (I liked the book, but it was confusing.)

Do you read Chinese? I try to read on Weibo sometimes, but the translations aren't that great so I don't get very far. What drama was the book you read?

Now if they revealed the boy/girl swap, couldn't she have revealed she was a woman and stepped down because there was a legitimate male heir? Then they could get married and rule together. Or would this not work?

I liked this, but I think some scenes were out of order.

Really liked it (except for the fact that her changes were never really explained). Also towards the end the sound got really low and the bgm became super annoying.
