A good lesson for fans of any celebrity: They are just people and we never know what lurks behind the facade and what lengths they'll go to to hide their true selves.
I've never seen it as a gender thing. I've seen many male celebrities get buried because of their scandals especially…
Thank you for your input re: the gender thing. You made some good points that I'll have to keep in mind. I hadn't heard of Lee Guk Joo. It's as sad that she's able to get away with harassing males as it is that men are able to get away with harassing females (or males).
I think the mom still had the responsibility to keep her daughter away from a 27-year-old man, no matter how tough it would have been nor whether it risked ruining her career. But maybe she did make every effort. I don't know.
I think there are others who can share some blame for driving Kim Sae Ron to the brink of despair, such as netizens who bullied her out of the two jobs I read about. Imagine trying to pay off debts, but every effort you make is snatched away. And then I read she was being evicted. How much can one person handle? I just keep thinking how hopeless she must have felt.
Thank you again for your insight. I appreciate it.
This is not a case of the internet wanting a new target to bully. We’re talking about Kim Soo Hyun here, most…
Most of the pictures and statements he's made seem to have been available for a long time so I'm not getting how he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Shouldn't people have been shocked by this long before now? This is what I'm trying to understand.
One of the best dramas, long or short, that I've seen. No fillers! When does that ever happen? Good, strong cast. Easy to follow, but not simple. Amazing ending. Just loved it all the way through! Highly recommend.
I have a couple of questions and hoping someone can clue me in. I had heard about Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving incident awhile back and recently read a bit about it and the backlash. She really destroyed herself with that, but she also went to all the shops affected by the power outage and apologized and compensated them, so I had respect for her for that. Obviously driving drunk is a vile thing to do and she was so lucky that she didn't injure or kill anyone. But I've always thought that taking responsibility and doing what one can to rectify one's mistakes and become a better person is a good thing. Apparently not for the Korean public and the internet.
In my reading what I saw were people bullying her out of two jobs so that she couldn't even make the money she needed to pay off debts. What I didn't see were people praising her for her efforts and being glad she was taking her mistake seriously. So what I concluded was that in Korea there are no second chances (particularly for women) and for the internet there is pretty much only the gleeful opportunity to bully someone and if they commit suicide then there is the chance to moan and bewail when many were probably the ones bullying her in the first place.
What I also didn't see were comments from her mother/family sticking up for her and begging people to leave her alone and let her earn a living. Now that she's dead her mother is blaming Kim Soo Hyun, but one question I have is where was her mother when Kim Sae Ron was supposedly dating him at age 15. Was she completely ignorant of the fact for 6 years?
As I said I read about this, but only out of curiousity and sadness before she died and deep sorrow after she died. Now the internet seems to be presenting itself as always having loved her and everything is Kim Soo Hyun's fault.
So what am I missing? Can someone clue be in? Was the mother always adamantly supporting and sticking up for her daughter? Because what I'm seeing is a mother who wants to absolve herself from guilt and an internet that is relishing the opportunity of a fresh target to bully into suicide. I'm not trying to say he's not guilty of anything nor am I saying that Kim Sae Ron did nothing wrong. I just want to know if there are facts I'm missing because I came so late to the situation.
I could only find this article after I went to the "Knock Off" TV series page and someone said you can find it…
At the top of my page (on my laptop) I hover over Home and Articles pops up. I clicked on that and it was the first one this morning. That's the only way I find current articles.
This is good, but boy some parts are hard to watch.
Ep 14 when Wang Yan is trying to seduce the secretary he had raped before. I was hoping she would hit him with the ashtray, but she was saved. The actor who plays Wang Yan is doing a great job of convincing me he's a vile creature.
Did you find out yourself? There are 3 murderes, Shen Xia, her brother and Jiang Peng.
What makes you think the ending was his dream? It ended when he woke up in the auditorium and the friends went off to various places. To me that indicated that everything that came before (the murders, etc.) were all his dream.

Actually there is no murderer because it ended up all being a dream the ML had while attending the dance performance.
In the dream the brother killed the man who had lured the sister, the friend killed the sister accidentally because she had her arm over her mouth while the sister was unconscious and didn't realize it. I think the brother killed himself because he thought no one would believe him.
