just pay attention that these dramas or fictions as you said really do have the power to shap our lives. in this drama she is not a player and not a bad person in general. people may think most of her actions without a second thought is considered good and for a reason. the problem is here. most people think what she is doing romantic AND is not bad.
if it's night but enough people tell you we see the sun in the sky you may start to believe maybe I'm wrong.
that's when in real life when we see similar cases we may say it's not that bad, after all it's ROMANTIC.
I say no. her behavior is wrong. writers shouldn't have written this about her character. at the very least along the story she should admit that she did something wrong.

if she saw them as just story characters she wouldn't worry about their lives like that which she did and she certainly wouldn't have ended up falling for one of them which again she did
if she really was SYM the proof of their relationship is those 1600 letters which was exchanged between her and chu guihong which was hidden by him(which is not imp because she isn't SYM and that is not my point anyway)
they weren't engaged in name she wanted to go through the marriage and didn't reject it untill 15 EPS in the story and because she fell for another.
you're absolutely right I don't like those kinda dramas because they violate ethics. I'm sure you've seen lots of cheating or heard their stories around you.if you think about them you can always give the cheating couple a romantic side but do you really do that or will you criticize them? these dramas promote those kind of behavior ESPECIALLY when it's done by the so called goodguys of the story.

lesson 1: when you're in a relationship, flirting with someone else is called cheating. it's not just for the married people and it's not just about sleeping with someone else

have you forgotten marrying chu guihong was her own intention? yes they were betrothed from birth but since she took over the character she wanted to marry him and in these 14 eps not once did she reject him nor the engagement and meanwhile she flirted and ended up falling in love with someone else
look, I'll say it again I'm all for Nan heng. I think he should go for the throne and overthrows his beast of a father and useless brother but somethings are morally wrong should not be done by the one who is supposed to be the goodguyof the story(FML)

in comedy they show it is ok to beat your husband. it has become ok to for them to beg for forgiveness in every turn. I know SOMETIMES they do something wrong, but it's not the same when women do wrong, is it?
it is comedy so I laughed the first couple of dramas that I watched, in 'new life begins' it became unbearable and disgusting so I dropped it and in here I saw it continued.

an average drama which became a masterpiece in last 5 episodes and the last episode was simply one of the best 40 mins of the entire cdramas I've seen so far(which is not few)
again this drama showed me the powerful effect of endings, a bad ending(not necessarily a sad one) can bring a fantastic drama into ruins and a great ending (not necessarily a happy one) can make a mid drama into a remarkable one👌

I understand what you mean, sometimes however good actor/actress is, the plot can still fail them. but in this I can see it from her acting it feels like she is taking this role as a joke.
I'm not her hater. I even started this drama because of her. that's why I'm disappointed even more.

the ridiculousness of the plot is one thing, but what annoys me the most is Lu Yu Xiao. I really liked her acting before wether in 'my journey to you' and 'time and him are just right' but her lat 2 dramas SPECIALLY this one is too bad, I feel like she isn't taking her role serious, her cry her laugh everything is too fake. I expected a lot more but I'm disappointed:(
