Both dramas have romantic fantasy genre where the female lead can see ghosts. The male leads are also not human - in Goblin the male lead is a goblin and in AKO the male lead is a demon.

Both dramas have a similar feel with the main leads having a childhood connection between them. They're both cute, fluffy romances that make you love the main leads so much. They also have hilarious comedy.

Both are Korean dramas about an ordinary girl becoming a princess and learning that life as royalty is not all glitz and glam. Also both dramas have a romantic theme of hate turning into love.

Both dramas are about a group of people getting a letter accusing them of having been a part of a murder/suicide which causes them to try and find out who truly killed the person/why the person committed suicide.

Both dramas include lawyers who solve a crime that is close to home. In Defendant the victims were his wife and daughter whilst in Whisper the assailant is his new bride and her lover (so he his less inclined at the beginning to solve it). In both dramas they have a female helping them solve the crime. Both have similar feeling to them as well.

Both are about the main male lead time travelling. In Tunnel he goes to the future via a tunnel whilst in NNTTT he goes to the past via incense sticks. They both have to solve murder(s) whilst time travelling. A difference is that in NNTTT, the male lead can travel back and forth but only for a maximum of 30mins whilst in Tunnel he is stuck in the future and has to find a way back.

Both have similar vibes with the storyline of Ji Sung is trying to find justice for his lost lover/wife. Both are fantastic and if you like one you would like the other.
