he gets better later..! mostly he becomes a comedian 😂😂
ah yes in part 2, but still not even his comedic antics made me dislike him less. I know he's willing to be the bad guy just so he can protect Jang Uk. But the way he treated him and broke him every time Jang Uk made an accomplishment, and he tried to push him many times. That's how you make a villain.
What watch speed? There are about 27 hours of viewing in TPOB’s 36 episodes.
Mine is 1.25x. The movements/pacing in a Chinese costume drama is wayyy too slow for me, so my go-to speed is 1.25x, just enough to catch what they're saying and to hear those OSTs. Mad respect for 2x, I feel like hearing chipmunks haha.
I don't know if it's just the editing, but Lee Jung is so aggressive towards everyone every time like oftentimes, it comes off as conceited and not confident. The others have their snarky remarks, but it seems they focus on her many times.
I am okay with the age gap (real life). The 35 and 26-9 yr gap seems okay though, and the age gap in the drama, student and teacher was also okay. They didn't date while they are student and teacher so it's fine.
I am watching this again as well. And I understand why JSM was not in this season. Every time I watch this immediately…
Yes, if that happens in our present time, it was clearly abuse, but I guess back then it was a normal thing. Like people must be thinking it's their family affair and we outsiders had no say in it. They're all turning a blind eye. They looked down on her since they thought she was below her younger sister.
Short answer, no, but it's spoiler for later episode... Tbh I felt troubled a little whenever fake Hongrang tried…
It's weird for Jaeyi, I guess. The fake bro is confident though, because he knew the truth and was like teasing or taking naughty revenge on Jaeyi for doubting and making it hard for him. As for Jaeyi, she really didn't believe him but was forced to accept him the moment he gave her the sachet. And as for us viewers, I'm glad it was revealed to us early that he's fake, so there's no disgusting thought of it being an incest thing. I just feel bad for Jaeyi, like she was confused and guilty that she was doing something not right. She was pranked😅
yang feng and zheng zhi don't get enough love. they were so brave and loyal to their people from the start until…
Yes. In the episode where they're bickering with each other, I already imagine the 2 of them in the finale having completed the canal project and still being petty with each other. I was shocked by the death of Zheng Zi. His death wasn't even shown it was just mentioned, but it had a huge impact on me. Their bravery and loyalty to their people was admirable.
Why do I like it? - misunderstandings were resolved quickly -smart fl, very understanding and so forgiving -how they portray the enemies to lovers trope is really excellent. -Wei Shao with his 4 generals are hilarious. -Wei Shao -Wei Shao -Wei Shao
I've been occupied with kdramas and rewatch lately, so for chinese costume dramas this year I've only finished Everlasting Longing, Kill My Sins, Flourished Peony and TPOB and I like them all. I'll check out Legend of Zang Hai as it's already completed.
2 years ago Share Autoplay ON True to its genre, it was a mystery indeed. From the moment Go Hye Ran claimed that she didn't kill Kevin Lee the guessing game about the killer began, but halfway through the subtle clues that the show laid for the viewers, I think many guessed correctly that the husband, Kang Tae Wook was the killer.
The show is a gripping one. I found myself wanting to finish the entire 16 episodes in one sitting.(though it's impossible, right?)
How the show put it together with the past of Go Hye Ran (the murder in her teenage years, and her relationship with Kevin Lee), the supposed affair, the murder case, her job, her rocky marriage and politics was brilliant, so there are no irrelevant scenes.
At first, I did not like how cold she was, but I ended up rooting for her as I got to know where she was coming from.
I hope Netflix fixes their subtitle issue, especially for period dramas. The words or meaning get lost because they cannot be conveyed by the poor subtitle.
The voice actor also dubbed for Fan Yue( Ao Ruipeng) in Moonlight Mystique.

Next is Liu Yu Ning's drama with Li Yitong. Hope to see it this year too.
