Do you as a non-billionaire use lavatory paper twice not to waste any spot on the sheet? You probably earn enough…
He is trying to say thst you are judging a billionaire's lifestyle by using your non-billionaire standards. You are determining whether a peach is ripeby examining an orange.
Under the Power was a great drama and tan songyun aced it the FL role. The similarities between that series and Honey, Don't Run Away are few and should not be used as a basis for comparison. HDRA is more comedic and much less bloodthirsty than UTP. Each actress played their respective roles well. Let's not that xiang hanzhi was 18 at the time of filming so you got the real deal as far a character behavior. Also, you watched the whole thing, because like the rest of us, you wanted to see how it ended. That is not the usual reason for watching. You failed to mention that tropes were not used in large quantities. In fact they are easy to count. To me that's refreshing. I respect your opinion, but please remember that it is only an opinion.
Tou said "[n]ew FL brought life back the OTP", which is absurd. You and a multitude of others watch season 1. So if there were any problem, it was not xiang hanzhi. She fit the role (especially since she was 18 at the time ilof the filming). She would not have fit the role of FL in Under the Power, just as tan songyun would not have fit the FL role for this drama. I accept the fact that this is your opinion, but I do find it annoying that you make it sound like you are giving an objective appraisal. Xiang hanzhi has shown in just a few years he ability to captivate an audience, let me suggest that you watch Love in Time.
You are supposed to just sit back and enjoy it. Especially the gravity-defying stunts. They are not expected to be taking seriously. You sound as if this were a lower division class assignment for a course you hated but had to take to graduate. My overall impression of the drama was that it was fun to watch and that is the whole point. You needn't have watched the whole thing if you found it so bad. But you did, so perhaps you should re-examine your criticisms and find out how you really feel.
I can't believe how gems like Yan Yan remain off the radar of the casting directors. She was excellent in this drama in her SFL roles. So why not cast her as FL as often as possible? No one will be disappointed by this, especially her fans.
Obviously you haven't watched The Brocade and the Sword because had you, you would have rushed to watch songyun again. I admit that her face takes getting used to, but once you do you find her beauty bewitching. She is also a superb actress who gives herself 100% to the characters she plays. Other than this, I find your review quite agreeable with my take of this drama.
I completely agree. The European segment was hard to watch. the negative emotions from the segment were such that it made the happy ending not so happy.
