did u not watch her whole internal monologue deciding she's gonna do whatever she wants in this life time? she's…
Yeah, I guess timid was the wrong choice of word, even though I do think her innate character in the past is actually rather sweet compared to the 'new world'. Her tone of voice in those scenes is higher, lighter, and less sharp. And the way she acts in the presence of the King and others in higher positions where she is obviously afraid. The darker voice only comes out when she's really angry. Anyway, I am not even saying I dislike the drama, I just cannot really seem to sympathise and come to like FL very much because of all those contradictions. I did like her in Tale of Lady Ok, I didnt finish it but I did like it a lot.

She's not a queen nor a noble. Y'all seriously can't grasp the drama. How can one eat with shame or reserve. I…
uh, yes, she did gobble it down. Several times. It's not even about picking at your food, but table manners = 0. Again, this is something that would have been engraved in her mind for YEARS, table manners are so important in the palace, so it's strange she's just gobbling it down, even though it's not like she'd been starving.

I'm on episode 4 and have been waiting to find her character likable. Still waiting.. Idk maybe the humor they're…
Very much agree, they made it too slapstick to be funny. Like on her first or second night when she goes all 'crazy for baseball' and other stuff, and i'm like: who is this woman supposed to be? There is too large of a gap between her past and present self. And then she trashes the dog house she build with her own hands and CRUMBLES in an instant like a child, WHERE is her strong resolve and power and.... I am not saying she cannot show weakness, but how she does it, it's the way they portray her, it's all over the place.

I didn't miss that remark of living a different life, the problem is that things like walking, sitting, carrying yourself is something that you cannot simply 'relearn', just because you suddenly decide to do whatever you want. I speak from experience because I've had serious knee and neck issues because of my posture, and I've tried to fix it, it takes IMMENSE effort and I still slouch back into bad posture so often. Those things become a part of you, and she was told all her life to behave, first as a palace maid, then as a consort, where she'd certainly have to watch her posture.. So the problem I have with this drama are not primarily the things she DOES, but how from the very moment she arrives in the modern world, (not just when she decides to live differently), it's such a crass difference to how she carried herself before, and it makes my brain not connect her to the flashbacks, I just think it doesn't make sense. Again, I know that she's not the type to hold back her anger, but that's a different story. To me, the her in the new world is an entirely different character than the girl from the past. I cannot seem to put the two together, which is why I am having a hard time feeling any connection with her in the modern world. I don't think it's my kind of humor, either, the way they wrote her. Like, she's a great actress, and there are some scenes that I really like (the more serious bits).

I am enjoying the drama, but I am very confused with FL's character. I don't think they did a good job at showing us who she was in the past. She's very contradictory. I get that she's from a poor background and became a concubine rising from her low status, and that this is contradictory enough. However, other than her being incredibly rude and entitled to everyone in the modern world, nothing about her seems sophisticated or royal, even though in the past we we see her as a timid maid, and then as a graceful queen. Even when she refuses to drink the poison, while holding authority and lashing out, she still remains as her noble self, refusing to let go of the status she gained through all those hardships. But once in the modern world, she carries herself with the grace of a wild boar. The way she walks, sits, and especially eats, she has not an ounce of shame or reserve. And I think this is the biggest shortcoming of the show. The way she talks is one thing, but her posture, demeanor... I would like to see a queen standed in the modern world, not a child picking a fight and throwing tantrums at each chance she gets. Yes, she has willpower, she is adapting fast (even though I think too fast, they did not handle that very well either compared to Queen InHyun's man or Legend from the blue sea), but it could be any girl from the past....

Aw, I was looking forward to another romance drama with Ji Chang Wook, but Les Liaisons Dangereuses is a difficult one... I've seen so many adaptions of it, and it never ends well. Guess I'll be in for a lot of heartbreak.

Very shallow outlook on media tbh so just because a character has unflattering haircut you won't watch it? Obviously…
It has nothing to do with beautiful characters or not (as I said, the actress is very pretty), my main issue is precisely that: The 'stylist team' had to make her look unattractive/give her terrible hairstyle, to bring across the point of her being a 'nerd' who writes BL. Because no attractive person would write something like that?! Why can't she just be pretty/or normal looking and like writing BL? That's the kind of shallow representation I loathe, and the reason why I shy away from supporting that show. I don't even think it's funny... Also, before someone comes after me because I discrimate against people having that hairstyle: there ARE people who look amazing with that hairstyle, I am not arguing about that. But in her case, it is very unflattering, it was a definite choice to make her look nerdy.

Woo‑su might look cold and logical on the outside, but he genuinely cares about his students. The way he tried…
That may be, but I still think it's unfair how he's getting Eun-Ju involved by threatening her with demerits. He could have gone about it in a nicer manner. A teacher shouldn't discriminate between his students, he is being very unreasonable and mean.

The math teacher is insufferable. He's being extremely unreasonable and unfair toward FL. What? 'Taking care of friends is one of the most important things to do?' Him dishing out more demerits for FL, than the girl who's acting out, is so mean, and would certainly not be beneficial to anyone's friendship/support. I'm not really liking the drama...

I thought Weighlifting Fairy had the worst haircut in FL drama history, boy was I wrong.... But at least Lee Sung Kyung has a small face so it didn't look that terrible on her. I mean, Kim Hyang-gi is very pretty, why did they have to choose such an unflattering look for her? Even if it's for story setup, unassuming and 'plain' doesn't equal horrid. Not sure if I can watch this...

Title Yumi's Cells Season 3 Spoiler
I'm not sure if we watched the same drama because for me they were quite comfortable to move quickly though steps…
Exactly, where does that thought even come from? Even though they didn't elaborate on Sun Rok's past relationships, nowhere it was implied that he was a virgin/had not dated anyone. Judging by his naughty cell and how quickly he skipped from A to Z, I think he DEFINITELY had a lot of experience lol Also I think you really didn't watch the drama properly if you talk about a marriage that didn't actually happen so quickly, and a proposal that was rejected exactly because she thought it was too fast after just one month of dating. This drama is supposed to show exactly that, people are so so different in how they make choices for their lives. I have friends who got married after only 4 months of knowing each other he was like 37 and she was 21 at the time. So idk, I don't think it's unrealistic, just maybe not that common. Besides, people get married super quickly in Korea, compared to other countries.

Yeah I think it doesn't necessarily mean that her appetite is big, but that if she gets hungry or peckish, her hunger cell has the ability to bulldoze everything away LOL Sort of like... she cannot concentrate on anything and becomes 'hangry' if she's not fed? I was really caught of guard when I found out which cell was humongous for Sun Rok HAHA No surprise he just goes for it 🤣

On Yumi's Cells Season 3 May 6, 2026
I actually dropped season 2 midway because it was getting too painful. So I really appreciated this season for the abundance of comedy and swoon-worthy moments. It healed me a little. This show really shines its unique execution of mixing animation with real life sequences, while remaining relatable and delivering some really important messages. Mainly 'don't judge a book by its cover' and 'everyone is different'. People face distinctive struggles, have things to fight for and principles they hold on to, not to mention trauma and past experiences, all of which shape who we are and how we go about our lives. The humanized little cells fighting a battle for each and every decision we make is such a fun and unique concept. I whole-heartedly enjoyed this season and will probably rewatch it for a romance fix every now and then. If anything, I wish it had been a little bit longer, 2 more episodes perhaps, because I did want to find out more about Sun Rok's life before meeting Yumi, and see her completely healed and unbothered by her two failed relationships as well. All in all though, I am just happy we got a final season and the two of them make a really sweet couple!

Hm, I haven't started watching, but it's interesting that you say FL cannot act, because I looked her up and I actually remember her from so many guest/supporting roles from her child/teenage acting days, and she was REALLY good in all of them. Her role in 'Pinocchio' and 'Live up to your name' left a lasting impression, even though it's been a while that I saw those dramas. So I hope maybe just this role didn't suit her then...

it was
It's so sad, AI is everywhere nowadays. I used to always listen to music (especially Kdrama OSTs) on youtube, like playlists, on autoplay. Nowadays it often jumps to videos that advertise it's 'Kdrama OST music', but what made me suspicious is that all songs sound sort of the same, the English for the 'obligatory one english main line' is too good, and when I tried to find out the dramas, they were not listed, nor were the musicians. So turns out all of those songs were produced by AI. But people are throwing praises at the beautiful music and how it touches their soul and whatnot, and I am just so disgusted by people trying to make money from AI generated art and music (but no disclaimer, NOTHING).... Soon there'll be no real art and music to be found. If you really care for that, you shouldn't support it. It's also sad how people can hardly differentiate nowadays.

When I first watched it, I rated it a 7.5, then I rewatched it a couple of months later and raised my rating to 8. Now again, I am rewatching and actually falling in love with it all over again, I might have to raise it once more. I do have my issues with it (Sanha's mom doesn't deserve his forgiveness and kindness and I just wish they hadn't made him so forgiving, because she's a terrible, terrible mother, secondly the time skip and how everyone behaved...), but all in all it's a good drama. It's definitely "Slice of Life", there's no grand plot, but it's for people who like seeing characters grow and overcome their past scars, finding purpose in the present and future. There's an appreciation for simple moments, family and friends coming together around one table, sharing joy, tears and laughter. For many here and also the characters in the show, this means healing.

I only have one thing to say, dating two men is low life
There's a difference between casual dating and a committed relationship. When you're just getting to know each other, there's nothing wrong with 'seeing' several people, as long as you're open about it. It's basically like hanging out with friends, feelings may develop, but they're not there yet. Although I expect your personal opinion if that's not your thing, it's not 'low life'. Nobody was deceived, and nothing was promised in the first place.

LMAO I think its just to show off how he could afford his house cause otherwise you could take the ceo part out…
I think primarily it was to show to not judge a book by its cover. Like everyone treats him like a delinquent, while he's hardworking and even managed to build a company. But yeah, I agree that it would not have been necessary.

Enjoyed the first like... 3 episodes a lot. Then it just goes downhill, because it keeps repeating the same 'jokes' and tropes over and over. I really wanted to love it, but it's... just not clicking with me. 2FL is annoying af, what's there to hate about the sweet boy? Dropped at ep 8, not looking back. 6.5/10
