Title Our Universe
I just completed episodes 7 and 8, and honestly I don’t understand why the makers of K-dramas often ruin the second half of a drama. First of all, I don’t get why the second male lead suddenly has so much screen time with the female lead. I do enjoy their interactions, but it has reached a point where the male lead barely has any scenes with her—even though we know they are supposed to end up together. Also, the whole father trope is so frustrating. It was obvious from the start that he was manipulating the situation. It’s tiring to watch a plotline when you can already predict exactly where it’s going.

Title About Love
This drama sounds awful but I must give it a chance for Liu Yuning…
It’s not bad at all. The storyline feels pretty fresh, the characters are well written and the drama is unpredictable, it keeps you on edge the whole time.

Title About Love
As many people have already said, the characters aren’t like those in typical dramas, where people are romanticized or smoothed out. These characters are messy—and honestly, most people are. The human mind is multidimensional, and so is the way we think and act. That said, Luan Luan really gets on my nerves. When she was talking privately with Gong, I genuinely wanted to shout at her. It always amuses me when some people try so hard to present themselves as open-minded and non-conservative, when in reality it’s just a mask to cover up a very messy personality.

Cheating usually has nothing to do with the other woman being “stunning” or “better.” It’s much more…
First of all, she is gorgeous. Second, cheating doesn’t make sense. There’s no reason to cheat if you’re truly happy in a relationship.

Am I really supposed to believe that she can seduce any man with those visuals???????
Cheating usually has nothing to do with the other woman being “stunning” or “better.” It’s much more about novelty, ego and transgression. It’s about wanting to taste a different "fruit", the thrill of the forbidden, the excitement of breaking rules while still keeping the safety of a relationship.

You're wrong. In communism, neighbors would report each other if someone was jealous. Back then, a service apartment…
Thanks for sharing this information, it's nice to hear about the past 🤍.

On Love Story in the 1970s Feb 26, 2026
That whole “let’s investigate whether their marriage was fake” plotline really does feel manufactured just to stir drama. Historically speaking, marriage and love were often completely separate things. For most people back then, marriage was about compatibility, family interests, stability, social standing, or survival, not butterflies and grand romance.

A lot of dramas are airing right now. Our Dazzling Days, Love Story in the 1970s, Generation to Generation, Too…
No, I don’t think I’ll drop any of them. I actually like all of them , they just have some flaws that keep me from having the best possible viewing experience.

I’m watching all of them 😭. When it comes to 1970s, I actually really like it — I think it does a great job depicting that era. Our Dazzling Days, on the other hand, isn’t really working for me. I find it somewhat boring overall.
As for Generation to Generation, the first two episodes were strong, but the quality dropped in episodes 3–5. The editing was messy, and it felt like a lot of important scenes were missing, almost as if we were thrown into the middle of the story. Thankfully, the drama picked up again afterward and is much better now.
Honestly, the only one I’d confidently recommend is 1970s. Since you said it’s not really your cup of tea, maybe try a few episodes and then decide. Lastly, Too Young to Love and About Love are about to start, so keep an eye out for those.
