Well, I agree with you. But I don't have high expectations from the audience reaction for the VoS. I'm sure it will be a hit among genre fans, but not sure about the chinese audience in general and that's fine.

Historical genre is not my cup of tea, unfortunately. It's almost always so boring for me to watch 40 episodes of talking and manipulative schemes for power, so I rarely watch this genre.
I was planning to start Feud when it started airing. But watching the trailer I figured out, that I'm not in a mood right now to watch the toxic relationship 😅 But one day I'll watch it.

Telling the truth, I don't care. As you see, xianxia dramas rarely become hits. Chinese audience doesn't take this genre seriously in general. Also, it's GJM's "idol drama" (as they like to notice), so I'm pretty sure the score won't be high. But when it disturbs to enjoy the beautiful story and acting? ☺️

Btw recently I discovered the very informative yt channel, that releases videos 3 times per week with news about c-dramas, actors and actresses. It really helps to stay in touch with all main events in c-drama world (even Bazaar fashion event with JJY and TJR was mentioned).
