Romantic relationships are always possessive and have too many cliche on screen, so as a person with already quite a big life experience, I rarely get hooked by it in dramas, cause it's nothing new. Only good natural chemistry between actors can get me.
But unconditional love, when you don't need anything from the other for yourself, just enjoy time spending together, caring and ready to give your life, this is the highest manifestation of human relationships where friendship and love merge into one. This is what you rarely can see in real life unfortunately, but what touches your soul deeply. And bromance is quite close to this description.
