Hm this one could be good or bad :) the plot is risky :) grabbing a boss bc there is nobody else who is interesting...…
He’s an experienced and talented actor. I also had issues with several things in Boyfriend on Demand, but I blame the production and direction for that. He was very consistent from start to finish, so it’s obvious he just did what he was asked to do (and it wasn't very good 😂).

did you even read my review? also I‘m allowed to have an opinion on things even if they’re fictional. why…
This is just a small show that became very popular (and rightfully so). Don't take the little things so seriously, it must be exhausting, take all that energy to fight for real people and not fictional characters. And I never told you not to think, don't put words in my mouth, we just need to look at what something's purpose is, and you're way too stuck on real life. Anyway, I'm not going to keep talking about this, especially not in a language that isn't my native one because it makes it 30 times more exhausting 🤗.

I consider anything that keeps me hooked for a few hours entertaining, no matter what it is. I really like the genre, but I respect all of them (even the ones I don't like or consume). Sanitizing art means taking the creator's vision and pruning it so it doesn't shock or offend the audience, which I think is totally wrong—especially since that's what tags are for, so people can avoid whatever they don't like. There’s a target audience for everything. Anything that entertains someone is a positive thing, not everything needs to be a life lesson. And the argument about video games causing school shootings has already been debunked as total nonsense so many times. Anyway, I can tell you're someone who cares a lot about social issues and you're taking a romance subgenre way too seriously. Just have fun and enjoy the ride 😉.

Silly child. Don't read my reviews if you can't handle criticism. 😄 I don't hand out 10s willy nilly. To each…
You can think whatever you want of the show, but dark romance has the poetic license to deal with heavy themes and still get its happy ending. That's what's expected within the genre. That’s why it’s important to draw the line between what you can handle and what you can't, so you can avoid the kind of show you don't like.

Dark romance is exactly that—morally questionable behavior is enjoyed within the genre because it's framed as heavy entertainment in a safe environment. It’s fun to play with different themes that aren't tolerated in real life and evoke a million emotions in the viewer, and even psychologists don’t have a problem with it, they just say to keep the line between fiction and reality clear. That’s why I say all forms of entertainment are positive and should exist without being sanitized. It’s like a video game, take GTA for example—it has all kinds of messed-up things, but people know it’s just a game.

Well, your review is public, and everything you're criticizing is exactly what was promised to the audience (since it's an adaptation). Everything you mentioned is common in dark romance, which is why it's important to know what you can or can't handle so you can steer clear of what you don't like.

That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it, but looking at a work that marketed itself as a dark romance from the very beginning and delivered exactly that within a safe, fictional environment, and then judging it for something it never hid being... is interesting to me. It’s just not for you, and that’s fine.

I understand your line of thought, but I'm a big proponent of bold screenwriting and exploring artistic freedom. Everything is valid in fiction 😊.

Well, that’s a very rigid way to think about a work focused on dark romance, and I still disagree. That’s life.

Art can teach you something, but it doesn't have to. Some works simply weren't made for that. And in your review, you expressed a ton of anger toward a fictional character based on actions you consider toxic, comparing them to real people with that kind of behavior—but nothing here is real. Simple as that🖤.

Yes, I read your review, and you judged the script choices based on real-life aspects. And yes, you're entitled to your opinion, just like I'm entitled to disagree 😉 .

I get your point, but art should never be censored under any circumstances. Just because something is immoral or controversial doesn't mean it shouldn't be made. Toxic patterns can be used as entertainment without any issue. The audience just needs to be mature enough to remember that it’s not reality.

Well, don't watch a dark romance if you can't handle it. It's always a good idea to check the tags before watching 😉.

Esse é um dark romance, então é esperado toxidade e um final feliz. Apenas não é para todo mundo.

Toxidade é o que é esperado de um projeto que se vende como tal. Romances sombrios gostam de brincar dessa forma e é super válido artisticamente.
